We are using tne SAML SSO for JIRA and SAML SSO for Confluence plugins by resolution. They work great for us with our ADFS 3.0 server. As far as I know, there aren't SAML plugins for Stash/Bamboo.

I may be missing something obvious, but why not just stay in Editor mode? You can still read the page contents there. Just wait to save until the meeting is over.

For people coming in to actually replace these (instead of just looking at them) JIRA - replace the whole property (specify the new url, including http/https) UPDATE propertystring SET propertyvalue = 'https://NEW.URL.com' WHERE id in (select id from propertyentry where property_key like '%baseurl%'); Confluence - replace…

Confluence doesn't have an email reminder feature for tasks out-of-the-box. Is it possible you've got something like the Task Reminder plugin installed?
-
Hi Richard, Seibert produces a plugin that creates a full HTML email of the page (the entire page) and sends via email: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/net.seibertmedia.confluence.plugin.mailpage/server/overview . I believe this meets your need as people can view the whole page in the email without needing to…

What are the chances of potentially getting some swag if we don't quite have enough points to pick up an order currently?
-
All previous answers were correct at the time they were written, however this is now native functionality in Confluence 6.0 and onward. No plugin required anymore!

Vote/watch this open ticket with Atlassian: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-24322 It doesn't look like the feature has been selected for development yet, but watching issues lets you know when they are about to be developed/have been released.

Hi Ehsan, The Team Calendars tables are all prefixed with AO_950DC3_TC . The specific one for the events is AO_950DC3_TC_EVENTS . Best, Daniel

In addition to the Confluence installation directory, there's data stored in two more places: * Database - this is where all the user info, pages, spaces, etc. are stored. Sounds like you have that under control (although MS SQL is pretty terrible with all Atlassian products, consider moving to MySQL/PostgreSQL if that's…

Hi Vijayakumar, I think you may have misunderstood the direction the drive mapping works. The WebDav connector allows you to map Confluence as a network drive on your computer so you can add files and attachments directly to Confluence. Confluence itself will not show you the contents of a different network share.

Hi Jason, A similar question has been asked before (doing a one-time import from JIRA to Confluence Cloud) - https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/19144506 This doesn't exactly fit what you're after. For starters, you would need to decrypt the passwords stored in your AD (see…

Hi Harald, Atlassian uses Google Analytics to collect analytics information to improve Confluence. This is enabled unless explicitly turned off by an administrator. You can access these settings from <your Confluence URL>/plugins/servlet/analytics/configuration or by clicking on the Analytics link in the Administration…

Version 0.14 of the SAMLSSO plugin for JIRA was released earlier this morning and includes functionality to create users on-the-fly from IdP metadata. The same feature will probably show up in the Confluence version of the plugin later today!

Agree with Nic Brough. We use and recommend SAMLSSO for Confluence by resolution, but it assumes that your users are already available to Confluence from somewhere. From their documentation: SAML is currently supported for authentication only. That means the userid must be known in the Jira/Confluence instance, either as a…

Yes, it is possible. However, both your Confluence server and SharePoint server will need to be able to access one another on whatever ports are being used to serve up the sites. If one or both servers are behind a firewall, you'll need to set up a rule that allows traffic to the other server.

Hi Salah, While you can do this (see answer from Hemant), we've found a better solution for us is the free No Email Storm plugin. It changes the checkbox / Save button to "Save" and "Save and Notify" buttons. This makes it much clearer to users what action will occur when they click one of these buttons. You can then…

Don't forget to mark as answered ;)

Sorry, I omitted this initially but edited my answer after I posted - you can use a wildcard. See the last paragraph in the answer.

Hi Sabina, You have to search macroName:macro to get results. Note that macroName is case-sensitive. For instance if I want to search for pages with the basic Cheese macro (inserts "I like cheese!" on a page), I would search macroName:cheese. image2015-7-17 12:20:15.png You should also be aware that you can use wildcards…

Hi Martin, The Creator column in the Content table is just a unique ID for the user. The actual usernames and name for users are in the cwd_user table. It's also worth noting that your query will count not only pages, but attachments, status updates, etc. The queries here are scoped to only include Page and Blog content…

Sorry - I missed your response earlier, hopefully this is still helpful! You are right - it looks like Confluence does not trust the certificate on your AD server. Atlassian has instructions on adding the certificate to the trust store here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jira/connecting-to-ssl-services-117455.html Keep…

Hi Matthias, Users will be able to change their passwords for AD via Confluence if the connection is set to Read/Write. However, it also needs to be set to LDAPS (LDAP over SSL) or else users will get an error when they actually submit their new password.

Hi Holly, just wondering if this ended up working for you and if your DBA had to make any query changes if you're running on a different database engine.
-
Hi Holly, I'm not aware of any way to do this from the web interface. It doesn't look like the calendar search function supports wildcards. If you have database access or can work with a DBA, you can fetch all the subcalendars and filter them out to show only the individual parent calendars. We're using Oracle, but…

Hi Thomas, Here's the relevant location portion from our nginx config: location / { proxy_pass http://localhost:8090; proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-Host $host; proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-Server $host; proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-For $proxy_add_x_forwarded_for; proxy_set_header X-Real-IP $remote_addr; proxy_redirect off;…

Why not just use Ctrl+F in your browser?

Hi Christoph, I've tested the behavior with a few of our projects. Looks like Confluence will only show required fields from the Create screen that are free text. It won't show radio/select boxes or non-required fields. Doesn't look like there's a a way to change this. Bummer!

Click on the Gear/Administration dropdown to the right of the Search box in the upper toolbar and click Add-ons. image2016-1-11 8:36:46.png On the Add-ons page, change the drop-down filter from User-installed to System. image2016-1-11 8:35:18.png

Hi Hsu, Is your Confluence install running behind a reverse proxy (Apache, nginx)? If the proxy is configured with a lower maximum upload size than the file you're trying to attach, it will throw an error. See these documents for more info: Apache - http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/apache-limiting-upload-size/ nginx…
