Hey @Ned Lindau, thanks for sharing! I think this is awesome to let space admins reduce the overload of features for users who don't need to know about every single content type. Way to go! -Stefan
-
@Rory Baker main use-case is providing feedback about particular parts of an image, e.g. for collaboration with (graphic) designers.
-
Hey @Rory Baker – that's great news. Here is a request for the backlog though: Back in the Server/DC days it was possible to attach the comment at a particular location on the image. That would be even more awesome.

If I get you correctly, you want tag-like functionality for page labels, in order to avoid users clutter page labels – correct? If so, that's a bit difficult, because users would still able to add random labels on the page. Does that make sens?
-
Hey @Riley Sullivan and everyone, in addition to what Mazze wrote: Atlassian has NOT acquired K15t, but only the Orderly Databases product. :) Cheers, -Stefan
-
You should be able to add a field of type "Tag" (I think it was called "Select" before), which let's you define simple options manually. Is that what you are looking for?
-
@Tina Musich It has been acquired by Atlassian and will be integrated in Confluence. More info here: https://www.atlassian.com/software/confluence/databases
-
@Divya Sriram and team: Congrats, well done! 🎉 I am super happy to be able to edit databases in the editor.
-
I do agree with this suggestion (and I had a situation like that just earlier today).
-
Thanks for the clarification. Right now, if I am not mistaken, I still have to go and link the Confluence pages one by one? Yeah, the approach I described would require you to do that. And yes, that's not the ideal approach in your case. Creating a list of pages dynamically (like you described) is not possible. -Stefan
-
Hi @Valerie Blondel the technical answer why this is not possible right now is that "Linked Confluence pages" is not a custom field in Jira. Cheers, -Stefan
-
Hi @Valerie Blondel Thanks for trying out Databases! :) Do you mean: Filter the Database to only view pages that have a certain label? If so, that should be possible * Have a database that contains a field of type Page Link. * Next you create a field of type Page Labels, that references that Page Link field. * Then you can…

Hi @Isa Janssen it sounds like you should really look at Orderly Databases: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1227131/orderly-databases-for-confluence?hosting=cloud&tab=overview (Disclaimer: I'm the co-founder and CEO of the K15t, the creators of Orderly) Cheers, -Stefan
-
Good stuff, @Kai Chen ! Keep it up!

I hear your frustration with Confluence, and I sometimes are also frustrated because it doesn't do what I want to achieve. On the other hand, I haven't seen any other software that is so powerful and versatile like Confluence and I'm glad we have it. 🤷♂️ Cheers, -Stefan

Or just a table? If you want to create a real database of entries and display the content as table or cards or kanban board, Orderly could be a great alternative: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1227131/orderly-databases-for-confluence Cheers, -Stefan (Co-founder and CEO of K15t, the company behind Orderly)

Ok, I get it. I don't see a way to do this with page properties of-the-box. Page properties are quite limited, unfortunately. And that is the reason why we've developed Orderly. This also means: Your use-case can be implemented straight forward by using the Orderly Database macro. It let's you define filter criteria to…
-
Hey @Alex Sarafian I'm not sure I fully understand, but have you looked at Orderly Databases https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1227131/orderly-databases-for-confluence That allows you to very flexibly build database-like structures in Confluence. -Stefan Disclaimer: I'm the co-founder and CEO of K15t, the makers of…

Hi @Isabell_Hi, your app looks, nice. Not sure why Comala doesn't support that out of the box. Friendly warning: Be careful with using Comala in the name of your app. Comala is a brand name owned by a company. If you'd use page status feature, you could have a look at this answer about how to report on…

Hi @Isabell_Hi, We've switched to Confluence Cloud some time ago and still have some content on Confluence Server for data protection reasons, and I have to say, I am not missing much from Confluence cloud. Every time I have to use Confluence Server, I am really happy when I can go back to our Confluence Cloud system. :)…

Since their introduction around 2011 Page Properties have never been a big focus of Atlassian, even though many users heavily rely on it. It's a shame, because Page Properties could have been so much more useful for everyone, if it had been improved, e.g. with typed fields. That's why we (K15t, Marketplace Partner) finally…
-
You're welcome, @Stacey Ropiha. While we're at it: If you are getting into Page Properties, make sure you also have a look at our app Orderly Databases, which is Page Properties on…

Hi Stacy, As a workaround without coding: you could enter a task with add a date, like this: If the date is in the past, if will be displayed in red. Hope that helps, -Stefan

Hi, I got this question in my inbox, because of new answers, and I would like to add another answer/info to this. One thing that is missing in Confluence compared to Notion is the database feature. That's why my company has build Orderly Databases for Confluence, and app that brings Notion-like databases to Confluence.…
-
Hi @Philip Domenico As @Brant Schroeder wrote, it's not possible to do that with page properties. But you may want to check out Orderly Databases, which is works like Page Properties but on steroids. It does allow filtering properties and a lot more. Cheers, -Stefan (Disclaimer: I am the co-founder of the company behind…

Hi @Sheerine Baucum Great stuff – This looks super-exciting! Can you share any information about extension points for Marketplace apps? Thanks, -Stefan
-
Hey Scott, totally makes sense. It's just that Orderly is still a young product, and we are building it step-by-step. But I can tell you, that we have both features on our roadmap for Q2: https://help.k15t.com/orderly-databases/our-roadmap-193404447.html Best, -Stefan
-
Hey @Scott Beeson as mentioned in my reply to Nic, I also wanted to achieve things like that for a loooong time. That's why I think you should have a look at Orderly Databases for Confluence, which my company (K15t) has developed and should exactly do what you want. You can also have a look at the release announcement here…

@Nic Brough -Adaptavist- True. OTOH I have seen people (including myself) who wanted to store structured information along with their unstructured pages. That's why we've created Orderly Databases for Confluence. I'd love to hear what you think about it.
