Hi Jean-René, As far as I understand and experienced that's exactly the point. The new issue experience (next gen projects) simplify the epic by only using the summary/title of the issue. The Epic Name field is obsolete and the Summary will be used wherever the Epic Name was previously used. Best, Maarten

On my Atlassian instance (in a next-gen project) it seems like both . and , work. Jira simply translates the , to a . when saving. When editing that same field again, a , is shown. Furthermore, my instance and profile are both set to English (US). But like Nic said I would check my language/country settings. Try setting it…

Thank you very much @Hung Nguyen for the feedback. I've adapted the article.

Hi Jean-René, From what I understand in the new issue view (or next-gen projects) Epics don't have a separate name field anymore and thus use the Epic Summary/Title as a reference on other tickets. You should be able to change the summary/title of an epic. Hope this helps, Maarten

Hi Erika, Although it seems like your question/problem is described pretty well I'd like to ask for a bit more information: * Are you using Jira Cloud or Server? * Can you share a screenshot with us as this is worth a thousand words? Thanks, Maarten
-
Hi Jeremiah, i've just checked on our Cloud portal but I don't seem to be able to reproduce this on our end. So it either must be one of the following: * an issue with your instance (in that case I would advice to get in touch with Atlassian Support) * an issue with your browser/client (try a different device/browser) * a…

Hi@Rishabh Srivastava Do I understand you correct when I say you would like to find all issues who moved from Ready for Test to Done on June 20 2018? If yes than this would be your query: status CHANGED FROM "ready for test" TO "done" ON "2018-06-22" Hope this helps. Best, Maarten

So good to see that SAML support will be added in the near future. We want to put our tools behind OneLogin and one possible way that we saw up until now was to ditch Crowd and link Onelogin separately to Confluence and Jira (as Onelogin, sort of takes care of the SSO). Now that Crowd will support this we might as well…

Hi Vineet, 401 means something is not right with the authentication. Have a look at the following line of code and make sure to adjust it to your credentials: conn.setRequestProperty("Authorization", "Basic " + Base64.encode("vzverev:Gromozavr".getBytes(), 0)); Best, Maarten

Hi Vineet, You should have a look at the following Developer Resource: Java APIs. Or have a look at an older question which could give you something to start: Create issue via REST API useing Java Hope this helps. Best, Maarten

Hi Bipul, It depends on what you're trying to achieve? From your other similar question (https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Service-Desk-questions/Is-there-any-option-plugin-available-in-JIRA-service-desk-to/qaq-p/971294) I guess you'd like to allow Jira Service Desk customers to trigger a build through the Customer…

Hi, I'm afraid you'll have to do some manual work. You can read about converting your Next-Gen project to Classic on the following knowledge base article: Migrate between next-gen and classic projects. It doesn't mention too much about the boards so that'll be complete manual work I'm afraid. Hope this helps. Best, Maarten

Hi Keith, I have to agree with all of the above. As @[deleted] knows (he is/was an Atlassian Consultant at the company I work for) you can have an instance with many many more admins. It obviously has some downsides that could cause impact to the rest of the organisation but it all depends on your use case. To dive a…

Let's make 2019 an unforgettable year! Best wishes!

Hi Eitan, Unfortunately you can't (unless you go scripting or something). By default All Fields will be shown but the user is allowed to customize this. Shouldn't be a problem I guess, unless you want users to fill in all fields. In that case it would be better to mark these fields as required. You can read more about it…

Hi Jerome, Luckily for you a project is not just linked to a single repository. You link a Jira instance with one or more Bitbucket accounts/teams and choose which repositories to sync. If you select multiple repositories, Jira will keep track of commits done in the selected repositories. When you mention an issue key in…

Hi Jazon, There's no officially supported way to do this. If you're on Confluence Server this Question (and its answer) might help: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-questions/Is-it-possible-to-reverse-the-order-in-which-comments-appear/qaq-p/21425 Hope this helps. Best, Maarten

Hi Martin, If you're on Jira Cloud I have good news, embedding was released as a feature about a year ago, learn more about it here. But since you couldn't figure it out yet, I'm assuming you are on Server. In that case the feature is still open, you can vote on it though: JSDSERVER-23. There is a Marketplace App that…

Hi Matthias, I'm not an expert on this level as we are using Crowd as Single Sign On between Confluence and Jira but I did find this knowledge base article: https://confluence.atlassian.com/confkb/logging-into-another-atlassian-application-logs-me-out-of-confluence-268043930.html (This is only relevant if both Jira and…

Hi Bipul, There's not just one plugin there's a bit of choice. You can find the available plugins on the marketplace. Or have a look at one of the following previously asked questions on the Community: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/forums/searchpage/tab/message?advanced=false&allow_punctuation=false&q=jenkins+jira For…

Hi, I'm not entirely sure if this answers your question but you can create a csv and bulk import every line into a single issue: Creating issues using the CSV importer Another way would be to use Confluence and create issues from a table or list: Create issues from within Confluence Hope this helps. Happy holidays! Maarten

Hi @D. Egerland It's hard to debug from a distance but can you try and change the filter to the following and try again: project = PD AND Status changed to "Partner QA" AFTER "2018/10/24" AND Status changed to "Partner QA" AFTER "2018/11/06" AND labels = CDMS AND type in (bug, improvement, spike, Sub-task, "Technical…

Hi Rajesh, I'm not sure if I understand your question right. You'd like to show attachments which are added to sub tasks on their parent task as well? I think this should be possible using an addon like Script Runner. If you're on Server, you should be able to use Scripted Fields for this. On Cloud I don't know if this is…

Hi Nikhil, I'm not entirely sure but it sure looks like that feature has not been added yet. As you may or may not know the new Issue View is still work in progress. You can keep track on the changes by watching the following page: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jiracorecloud/the-new-jira-issue-view-938040503.html Best,…

Hi Ortal, Since I don't know if you're on Confluence Cloud or Server I'm responding with an answer for both: In both installation types the first day of the week is determined by the User's language settings. Changing these settings is a bit different on Cloud compared to Server. Cloud On Cloud this cannot be overridden…

Hi @Takuya Iwamoto, It's actually not that difficult. You can simply use the id behind /pages in the following request: https://my-domain.atlassian.net//wiki/rest/api/content/1234567890 This will return all page metadata. If you'd like the content of the page (the actually text and layout), you should add the expand…

@Yair Spolter Happy to help! :-)

Hi @Yair Spolter, I was able to reproduce the issue (obviously) but I don't really have good news. I couldn't find an easy way to restore the issues linked to that epic. However you can view the issues that were linked to the Epic in the history. Thus there's a way to figure our which issues were linked. * Simply open the…
