Hey @Ammar Ahmed Butt this article looks like a quite comprehensive list, but I'm missing some context, maybe a primer in the beginning. Can you share a bit what this list is aiming to do? Are these your recommendations for automating things in the product life cycle? Thank you, Matthias.

If you go to the issue navigator (https://YOURINSTANCE.atlassian.net/issues), you can click on "Switch to JQL" on the right hand side of the Search button. In this field, you should be able to enter "issuekey IN watchedIssues()". Does this work?

Hi @tom.price I understand that you're annoyed. I have the same feeling for some other feature requests. However, I do think, they're basically planning to improve this. I have access to an EAP where you can specify in natural language which issues you'd like to see and AI will translate it for you into a query. I tried…

Hey @Lana Kelly no need to be sorry. Your questions are totally fine - and I think you're close to the solution yourself. It's a good idea to use lookup tables for defining the numerical value for both of the fields. In the Edit Issue step, you only need to modify your smart value, so that it takes the value from the…

Thank you @Christina Ristevski. in my quick test right now, it worked like a charm.

Bonjour 👋, please excuse that my French is not enough to give a presentation, but I'm looking forward to meet you next week.

To add on what Trudy said: Of course, it's always more secure if you don't share your data. There's no real argument against it. But I understand that this needs to be treated in a trustful way. I think the question is also what is the value for the client? If you have the data synchronized/visible in your Jira, you can: *…

Hi @Mohammed Patel, welcome in the Community. That's a common scenario - and @Joe Pitt is right that there is no native way to do so. However, there are plenty of marketplace app solutions out there for such a use case. I'd suggest to either look into: * issue synchronization Issue Sync apps allow you to synchronize your…

Thank you @Divya Sriram - that's so exciting to hear 🎉 I've already updated a custom view yesterday which worked like a charm.. 🥳 The editing in view mode is also very welcome. At the moment, I can only edit in the database macro, but not in the database entry macro. Is this intentional?

I totally understand your confusion, @Mark Rekveld - Marvelution The Apps & Integrations collection used to be the place where partners should post their content. But the Community team decided to move to Groups - and therefore the App Central Group has been created. This change will be more communicated throughout the…
-
@Mark Rekveld - Marvelution some other community leaders confirmed that your article looks fine to them. I've therefore moved it out of the removed article section into the App Central Group. That's by the way also the place where your app-focussed articles should go now. As to the reasoning why it got removed, it looks…
-
Hi @Mark Rekveld - Marvelution I can see that your article got removed. After having a quick look at it, I think it got removed by accident/automation - maybe due to several links you've added. I'd still see the links as helpful and not too much. I'll also raise it with the community managers to make sure it gets handled…

You rock, @Mario Palacios Fernández. It's always great to share your solution!
-
Hi @Mario Palacios Fernández welcome to the Atlassian Community. Can you explain to me why you're adding the square brackets in the smart value? I've never used them here. Usually, you can address a custom field by simply specifying it after the dot. Since the name itself contains a dot, I'd either try to wrap it in "…

@Harish R, what Sayed said, is correct. If you search for easier ways to export a page and its whole subtree, you can give our app Scroll PDF Exporter a try. When you're on a page and want to export it, it allows you to export the whole subtree by checking a checkbox. In addition, it comes with many styling options. So,…

I was about to say that 😁. Jira Service Management ensures that the response is shared with everyone else. PS: Feel free to accept my answer so that others know what helped you.
-
Hi @Noah Wilderom welcome to the Atlassian Community. You can give your client access to your board, but then you need to create a user, pay for that user and administer the permissions accordingly so that they can't see everything. If you're interested in other solutions, last year I gave a talk about Cross-Company…
-
Hi @Jira Administrator I'm afraid this is not possible. However, at the bottom of the email notification, you should have a line which states that this request is shared with other people. Here's a (redacted) sample email: Do you also see this line "This is shared with"? Is that enough for your use case? Cheers, Matthias.

I'm basically following the advice in this Atlassian doc article about debugging an automation rule. If somehow my actions don't work as expected, I add a log action which allows me to write some text or smart value to the audit.log of that rule. When the rule is executed, I can check the audit.log and see which part is…

Then have fun with the APIs and all the best for a good and quick implementation!

Hey Steve, the answer for Exalate and for Backbone is the same. The pricing always depends on the user size of the Jira license you use. So if your Jira license is for 50 users, you also pay for 50 users for Backbone or Exalate. Atlassian's licensing mechanism always works on the whole Jira instance level and not only the…
-
@Viktoria Soldatova, I usually use log actions to debug my automation rules. In your case, you could e.g. add a log action right before the comment on issue action to check whether this branch gets executed correctly.
-
Hey @Service Desk Manager You can write your own integration either using Jira Automation or scripts in whatever programming language you want and use Jira's REST API. However as Syed said, I think that's only cheaper in the short term - and I'd also recommend to get an issue sync app to solve your use case. I'm part of…
-
Hey @Katherine Lord as Trudy and Syed said, this depends really on your specific collaboration needs and setup. Last year, I gave a talk about Cross-Company Collaboration in Jira where I list five ways how you can collaborate: I think this talk, could bring you some inspiration about various aspects of the collaboration.…

Hey @Darryl St_ Pierre I'm in a similar boat like Curt that I don't fully understand your use case. Can you describe why you want to have two projects at all? Is this to have a simplified workflow for your agents? I throw in some of my thoughts to see if they help you for a solution: * You could also create a team-managed…
-
Hey @stephen.abiero you're describing a classic scenario for issue sync apps. To get a list of all the various apps which can solve this use case head over to the Atlassian marketplace. I'm part of the Backbone Issue Sync team. Our configuration sounds similar to what Kasia mentioned: * You can turn on bidirectional…

Hi @Chris Raines welcome to the Community 🎉. In addition to the solutions which were suggested above, I also thought about the forms in Jira Work Management. Have you tried them out? If your users are only looking for a better form to create issues that might be sufficient? Here's how it looks in the editing experience:…
-
@Divya Sriram - do you still need someone to talk to? I'm back from vacation and now available for a call. And I still can't save my broken custom views. 😭
-
I think, we played it around a year ago. For me the main learning here is to be aware that there are different team members who think/feel different - and in order to solve a common goal (win the game) we have to find a common ground how we get things done.
-
@Saralie S. - I've fixed the link in your article to the updated guidelines. They were pointing towards the draft version of the article.
