Hi Michael, You can use the add-on mO API Token/OAuth Authentication for Jira to use either OAuth 2.0 or API Tokens to authenticate your REST APIs. It's really easy to set up with any other OAuth provider which your users might be using for SSO. You can use the guides provided on the link below to set it up with any OAuth…

Atlassian's inbuilt SSO doesn't provide feature to enable SSO for a set of users logging in through credentials and others through Okta. This is because the SSO feature is mainly there for your organization users and it assumes that all the users of the organizations will be using SSO. Thanks, Ankit

Hi Neo, Can you please confirm whether you're using any app or Atlassian's inbuilt sso? Thanks, Ankit
-
Yes, they can sign up on your service management portal and access it using username and password.
-
Yes, it's working right now on Server since you're using a 3rd party app which allows SSO for service management agents as well as customer even when the customers are not counted against your license. But in cloud, since your customers are not counted against your user tier, SSO can't be used for them using Atlassian…

Hi Neeta, I work with miniOrange and I'm one of the developers who created the SSO solution deployed on your Jira server. To answer your question, you can use SSO for internal users on Jira cloud using Atlassian Access, but for external users/customers, SSO can't be used as Atlassian access doesn't support users outside…

Oh yes! That could be the thing. I didn't think of the username part.

Hi Roman, You can use app passwords. which are like API tokens in bitbucket. You can use it instead of your Bitbucket password in basic authentication. Generate your app password here: https://bitbucket.org/account/settings/app-passwords/ Here's an article on App Passwords:…

Hi Pete, You can request a reset password link here: https://trello.com/forgot Thanks, Ankit

Hi Roman, Atlassian cloud uses google for SSO but your bitbucket password won't be same as Google. Hence, to use the API, you can't use your google password. You can reset your bitbucket password using this link: https://bitbucket.org/account/password/reset/ This won't affect your SSO with Google. You can also look into…

Hi Patrick, Your code is looking fine. To use API token you have to use Basic Authentication. This is how your Authorization header should look like: Basic Base64Encoded(username:apitoken). So if your user name and tokens are demo:demo it would be Basic ZGVtbzpkZW1v You can try out the API in clients like Postman to verify…

Hi Ajay, You don't need to move the accounts to SAML. It works automatically. Since you're being redirected for SAML SSO with Okta, you must be entering the right email address, but the value coming in from Okta might be mismatching. I think Atlassian Access picks up the NameID value from SAML assertion. You'll need to…
