Hi @Pierre Ibrahim, No, you cannot perform the initial sync before any issues are there. You should be able to perform that initial sync after your first migration completes. I would assume you will need this in your production migration eventually. Just run the initial sync after you complete the first phased migration on…

Hi @David and welcome to the Community! Short answer is no. The place where you can - to some extent - configure the placing of certain sections on your screen would be through Project Settings > Work Items > Layout. It only lets you add fields to certain sections on the screen. All other items are fixed and cannot be…

Hi @Arnis Riškovs, Jira Product Discovery offers quite a lot of value for money, if you ask me. You only pay for the users in the creators role at 10 USD per user on the standard plan. Whether the value outways the cost really depends on what you want to do with it. That you don't plan to implement all changes requests…

Hi @IT Team, Over the last year or so, the Atlassian Platform has grown significantly to become an integrated suite of products capable of supporting teams across your entire organisation.Indeed, getting started can be a bit overwhelming at first. Specifically about the active users display: yes, there can be a delay…

Hi @Kailyn B_ and welcome to the Community! Yes, there is. Have a look at this support article with steps on how to add your own fields to a project. Hope this helps!
-
That is a fair point, @Hill_ Fred J - and at the same time also more or less a feature request to some extent. Plans are primarily focused on scheduling (cross team/project) work items across the hierarchy. And goal progress can be tracked (with progress/updates) in the Goals app even if there is no work associated with…

Hi @Pavan Kumar, Short answer is yes, though not all configurations can be migrated across. Most settings from company managed Jira projects can be migrated. Team managed projects are not supported. JSM projects are partially supported. Through the app's marketplace listing, you can navigate to the app documentation, which…

Hi @Alex Dokhtiar, Very hard to draw any conclusions based on your screenshot. The obvious first question I would ask if there are really any dates set (not derived from sprint allocation, but really formally set) on any of the child work items of your other epics. Hope this helps!
-
I don't think so, @Chitra Nagdeo. The OP tagged the question as related to Data Center and based on the shared screenshot, I believe that tag is correct.

Hi @Hernan Mathias Farina Forster, Never change status names from the workflow editor. This will automatically edit the status name across your entire Jira instance, not just in your workflow. Most likely, there is already a different status in your instance with the name you are trying to update to. Instead, edit your…

In my instance, following those steps opens the following dialog: Almost exactly the same behaviour as what I described in my reply, but indeed after pressing CMD+K on my mac keyboard. I don't use that feature from the command palette in real life myself, since I tend to pin the parent field to my pinned fields list on my…

Hi @Dd, This article is specific to Jira Product Discovery (JPD), which is a very specific Jira app for product teams. You did not tag your question as related to JPD, but to Jira Cloud standard. If you are not using JPD, this article is not relevant - if you want to create a custom field that you want to use across…

Hi @Sören Freitag and welcome to the Community! The short answer is no. Atlassian did roll out the new UI recently with no option to roll back. You can find more details about that in this support article, including answers to the (in)ability to turn it off. Hope this helps!

You can quickly navigate to a work item's parent by clicking its issue key from the breadcrumbs at the top of your work item view, by the way:
-
Hi @Simon Pearce and welcome to the Community! It should be as simple as just clicking into the Parent field and either clicking the x icon there to remove the current parent or start typing to select a different parent. If you want to modify details of the parent item itself, then you'll need to open that parent item…

Seems you have done the right thing then to involve your admin. The holiday schemes are the way to go if you want to set none-working days. For individual people's absences, we use specific issues where people plan and log their time against. That can be an alternative for the holiday schemes, but it doesn't scale that…
-
Hi @Keet Yee Foo and welcome to the Community! Non-working days in tempo are managed through the Holiday schemes you can set in Tempo Settings. See this support article for more details. Hope this helps!

Hi @Dd, A global custom field is a field available across multiple projects. This is managed centrally in Jira work item settings and can only be done by users with product administrator permissions. A user with the required permissions can add a field following the steps in this support article. Note that creating the…

Hi @rohit.singh.23 and welcome to the Community! There's a couple of things that may be at play here. You should be able to confirm if you have Jira access or not by yourself. If you navigate to the url of your team's Jira instance (if you don't know what that is, ask one of your team mates to send you a direct link to a…

Hi @Mahanth Prudhvi P, No. I work for an Atlassian Solutions Partner and the above information is what we need to be able to request a quote for you with Atlassian. Without that information, it is simply not possible to transact on your behalf with Atlassian. Partners do handle that information responsibly and for the sole…
-
Hi @Omkar Rajale, Not 1-1 like you describe it, but that is probably not entirely necessary either. A project in Jira is an entity with a full set of configuration items, just like you describe it. In the summary page in project settings, you can see all these items listed: If you create a company managed project for each…

Hi @cansude yalman and welcome to the Community! You have posted your question on a public Atlassian forum that is not connected to your company. You are definitely very welcome here, but for the onboarding at your company, I would recommend you to reach out to the person / a contact at your employer directly. They will be…

Hi @Kamal Kishore, You are absolutely right about the today marker: it was introduced in the last week of July, but the team had plans to make it configurable, as you can read in this related thread. I do not see anything in the release notes on the topic currently, but can confirm that I don't see the marker in my test…

Absolutely true. I also sometimes set my OoO message a day earlier and longer than my actual absence to manage expectations. That tends to help reduce the number of last minute urgent stuff before you leave so you can properly wrap up. And on the other hand/end it frees up some time to catch up after the return.

No, @Rimza Rahim. As I already mentioned in my second reply, you can't: While you can hide / show items within each bar, you can't bring items from the left navigation to the top nor the other way around.
-
If you mean links to URLs, add them to the shortcuts menu item. By removing other views you don't use from the navigation bar, they will become more easily accessible.
-
Unfortunately not, @Rimza Rahim. Atlassian has fundamentally changed the UI, indeed switching the horizontal and vertical navigation. While you can hide / show items within each bar, you can't bring items from the left navigation to the top nor the other way around.

Hi @Daniele Tagliani, As I understand it: not yet. From the usage quota documentation: So it is definitely on the roadmap to make usage tracking available at least 90 days before any quotas will be enforced. From the latest Sherif-sclusive update on Community (published on August 6th), work is ongoing to provide future…
-
Hi @Rimza Rahim and welcome to the Community! I am guessing you are referring to the attachments tab you can see here: If so, it is still available, but only in business projects (not software). It's a matter of creating the right type of project to get the option available. If you don't see it in the UI: * you might be in…

Hi @Sebastian Brinkmann and welcome to the Community! If the people you need to send the email to are Jira users, it would be easier to just save your filter and create a filter subscription to send them the overview on a daily schedule. You would not even need to use automation in that case. For such a scenario, next to…
