@Ryan Nacker @[deleted] For the quantity, I pretty much just made a number field and manually updated the quantity manually on the workflow screens. It wasn't ideal, but for this purpose, it did the job. I did this all with the default tools available to Jira. No plugins. If I was to recreate this today, I would probably…

@Ryan Nacker It's been awhile since I set this up, but happy to answer any questions you have about your potential setup! I actually did implement this as an inventory management system for employee hardware at a previous job, and it translated nicely to that.

I have a bad habit of buying books, and then not reading them. So for now, I'm strictly choosing from my own Kindle library. I have a hard time finding fiction that hooks me, so I'm always on the hunt for that. This year, I'm following along with A Year of War and Peace. It's one chapter of War and Peace per day, everyday,…

Agents can: * Access both the Customer Portal and the Agent interface * View queues, reports, SLA goals, and the customers list * Add, edit and delete customer-facing and private comments…

Hey Lili, just a question for clarification. Are you trying to show the children of one page on a different page? Or just trying to replicate the parent/child relationship demonstrated in your screenshot?

@Monique vdB I’ll take 1/4/2019

Hey @PJ Wysota Great to have you here!

Getting certified in the various Atlassian products has definitely made and impact on my career. I had been using and supporting Jira and Confluence, as well as a variety of other Atlassian products, for years before getting certified. Certification helped me see some holes in my knowledge about the applications, and gave…

I got a lot out of the training available for each certification. The quizzes/sample questions were great for getting used to the types of questions that were on the exams. The thing I liked most about the sample questions though was the thorough explanations of why the right answers were right, but more importantly, why…

@Krishna m I've taken both, and for a beginner, I would strongly recommend starting out with ACP-600. The training and documentation is fantastic, and walks you through each aspect of the Project Administration in Jira.

I am using the new Jira UI on a cloud instance, and that button is there:
-
Unfortunately, as far as I am aware, there is no way to go back to the old UI for cloud instances.
-
You should be able to export your issues here:
-
Your first screenshot is the new UI that is being rolled out in all new Jira versions. The second screenshot is the legacy UI that is being phased out. You can read more about the changes here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftwarecloud/introducing-your-new-jira-experience-937886012.html

You can restrict a page from view And if that is what you'd like to do just click this link and in a blink Page access will be locked to you

@Monique vdB I will take that last spot! June 8th

You could setup your permission scheme so that the only users with the Assign Issues permission are "Current Assignee" and then you'd likely want a manager user as well in the event that the Current Assignee in unavailable to change the assignee.

Have you tried appending the domain to the end of your username? Ex: nbeck@domain.com

Aside from the experience of using the tools as part of my job, I've spent a lot of time recently studying and preparing for many of the Atlassian Certification exams. Atlassian offers training for the exams, and even if you aren't planning on taking the tests, I've found the training to be immensely helpful for learning…

Ha, @Matthew Coughlan DevHops is great! I have a buddy who brews professionally, I should see if I can get his brewing workflow on Jira.

Looking forward to Team Tour in NYC. Got the whole team coming with me for this one!

Excited to take a crack at this cert! Thanks for the opportunity!

Man, this is a great one!

I'm Zack. I'm a systems administrator at Trifecta. We are a custom software company that focuses on custom Salesforce implementations. Right now, I'm working on plans to upgrade our JIRA and Confluence instances in the next week. I'm also prepping to take the ACP-400 exam in December. My desk is an assortment of tools…

Yep! In User Management > User Directories, edit your User Directory, and open the Group Schema Setting section. From there, you can use an LDAP Object Filter to declare which groups you want to sync, or which groups you explicitly do not want to sync. For example, this filter query would sync all groups except…

Thanks! @Monique vdB It's been pretty satisfying to move stuff into the done column. For the shorter-term To-Do stype stuff, I've moved that to Trello. It just didn't feel right to have "Cut the grass" right there next to "Become a Dad." Haha.

@Monique vdB I haven't had a chance to write this one up, but lately I've been using a Kanban Board to track my personal goals. Still working out a couple kinks, but it's working pretty well for me! Especially great from the iOS app.
