Is their a reason why these templates cannot be created Globally?
-
Sounds like you first created the page used to base the template off in a Space using the Documentation Theme. This theme adds underlines to heading styles 1 and 2. Hence, if you use that template to create a page in a Space not using the documentation Theme, the headings will not have underlines. RE: heading colors –…

Please refer to our documentation for guidance on this process: http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Upgrading+Custom+Layouts We're currently building a new Windows/Linux Installer for Confluence 4.0 which will address…

Hey @Jason Vance - Here's the feature request. In the intermin. here's a work around I have been using on our internal instance: 1. Create a new page that is really just a template and name it as such i.e. Meeting Notes Template 2. Restrict the editing of the page to those that you wan to have the ability to make changes…

Looks like you found a bug Alan. I've raised it for you on out public issue tracker: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-23346 While preview does not work when you do create a page from that template it will work.
-
Yes it is, Alan. At the moment, templates will still remain in wiki markup. Ideally you should be able to use the new editor when creating/editing templates. You'll need to edit confluence-install/confluence/WEB-INF/classes/com/atlassian/confluence/setup/atlassian-bundled-plugins.zip/doctheme-x.x.jar/doctheme/decorators/page.vmd and remove the following line of code: #parse ("<a…

As mentioned in the Confluence State of the Union at Atlassian Summit, Confluence 4.0 is a scope based release, not a time bound release. Introducing a new editor is an enormous change for users and we need to make sure we get it right before shipping it to our customers. We hope to ship Confluence 4.0 by the end of the…

That's interesting. I had the same issue with the Confluence Sandbox. Moving the custom HTML to the start of the biody solved the problem for me.
-
Were you displaying Custom HTML in the Confluence Header? If yes, simply move that HTML to the start of the body: Confluence Admin > Custom HTML This is a known issue in Confluence 4.0.
