I see – thanks David. This isn't a fix but you can always just remove the broken columns and insert new ones. I understand that's not ideal though. I'll be sure to pass this feedback along to our Dev Team. Sorry I don;t have a solution for you right now :)

Can you please post a screenshot so I can visualize what you are asking?

I'd suggest following @confluence on Twitter. Also, checkout the Wiki Ninja Guide. Heaps of tips and videos there.

I'm poretty sure you could achieve this with the Reporting ands Scaffolding plugins from Customware. Exactly how, I'm not sure :)

To clarify Dennis's answer, Atlassian will be releasing a completely new calendar plugin next month that will be available for download on the Atlassian Plugin Excahnge and installation via the Universal Plugin Manager. The plugin will be compatible with Confluence 3.5 and above. Please watch the Confluence Product Blog…

Hi Jon - here's an improvement request that you might want to vote for – Remove restrictions on characters in page and blog titles

We're currently building a source editor for Confluence 4.x that should allow you to achieve this. You can track its progress and see the spec here: http://confluence.atlassian.com/x/_ANnE

Hey Scott - are you trying to change the paramters of the TOC macro? I'm unsure from your description about what you are trying to do.
-
Is this intended behavior then, or is it a bug? Yes, it's Autoformatting in action – http://www.atlassian.com/software/confluence/whats-new/?tab=confluence-40 I could not find any way to say "Indent all h1 by 1, all h2 by 2, and so on Sounds like this is solved by the Source Editor plugin. There is some really weird stuff…
-
Gotcha. You can just press Command/Control + Z (Undo) to get around this.
-
I spend so much time attempting to hold it's hand through the simplest of formatting operations that would have taken seconds in the wiki markup editor Could you please provide an example of something that's still not working for you in 4.1.6? There's a chance we're aware of the bug and a fix is on the way but it's hard…

Hey @docpro we just released the first beta of the new Confluence Source Editor Plugin. See here for more details: http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Specification+-+Confluence+Advanced+Editor

You're most welcome @kalynn :) I'm glad I could help. You might also want to make use of this guide our Tech Writers put together to help with the transition to the new editor: Confluence 4.0 Editor - What's Changed for Wiki Markup Users
-
Thanks for the reply @kalynn. RE: Example 3 – you can still do all of this without picking up your mouse and using the same wiki markup you already know thanks to Autoformatting. I recorded a quick demo to show you this in action with some of the content you provided above – http://screencast.com/t/sajXwtwGzC
-
Hi @kalynn RE: Example 1 – This is the default behaviour. It is possible to edit the existing macro and change it using the Macro Browser as shown in this quick screencast – http://screencast.com/t/kYsLeew8g There has been a feature request raised on our public issue tracker for the ability to remove a macro and retain…

you really need to be VERY proactive and responsive about formatting problems That's exactly what we are trying to do, Jonathan. We've recently shipped Confluence 4.1 with a number of fixes and improvements and 4.1.2 is not far away with more bug fixes and improvements like Autoformatting of wiki markup support for macros…

No worries, @fiterbek. One thing to remember is that when creating your anchor link to a heading, it is case-sensitive. For example, if your heading is 'Introduction', your anchor link must be '#Introduction', not #introduction. If your heading has multiple words, there should be no spaces in your anchor link. For example…
-
@fiterbek – Were you referring to this documentation re: creating anchor links? http://confluence.atlassian.com/x/siAC If so could you let us know what does not work for you? I just tested this and it worked in Confluence 4.1. You can inserting horizontal rules in the same way you would have in wiki markup - type ---- then…

A lot of customers have asked us why we don;t provide a method to edit the raw source of pages in Confluence 4.0. The main reason we don’t to allow end-user editing of the raw markup is that the editor markup is not really XHTML. It is an XML dialect that looks like XHTML so that it can be edited in a browser, but that…

Hi Jan – I would suggest checking out Comalatech's Ad-Hoc Workflows Plugin. I saw a demo of what they've got coming in Con fluence 4.0 and it looks great. http://adhocworkflows.com/display/WWW/Product

Fajar, you can recreate a page like this using Page Layouts – there's no need to use the Section and Column macros. See this video for a quick demo: http://youtu.be/4Q8-6494g5g You can use a table to keep the profile pictures and names aligned – i.e. one profile pic per table cell (centered).

Sounds like a bug, Todd. I've raiosed this for you here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-23357

My apologies for not reading you entire question :) Let me see if I can find a known isssue for this.
