Hello @Kurt Callebaut I completely understand your remark the dropdown does not show the new group "restricted users" for the filter because admin is not a member of the group. because admin is not part of that group. But here's the catch, you have said So if you add admin to the group "restricted users" (which is weird.),…

https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/page-restrictions-139414.html#PageRestrictions-Howdoinheritedrestrictionswork?
-
Hello @Charankumar Pulipampula This topic is explained in detail in confluence, so I will only refer to the confluence docs. View restrictions are inherited by child pages and edit restrictions are *not* inherited by child pages, hence if you want to add edit restrictions on child pages you will need to do that explicitly.

Hello @Kurt Callebaut "It makes user groups useless, because all data for that group also includes the data from admins and that is not what you want to show users from a group with limited restrictions." This is not the exact case, because I understand from your comment "How can an admin make a filter for a user- group…

Hello @Pallavi Satpute Script runner is a paid add-on. If you have Script runner in your instance, you can easily achieve your requirement by the following query issueFunction in parentsOf("assignee = currentUser()") This will give you all the parent issues who have sub-tasks which are assigned to you, here instead of…

Hello @Kurt Callebaut You have to be part of the group, only then you can share the filter/dashboard with that group. Hence the group which you have created, you need to be part of that group and only then you can share board/filters with that group. Currently your requirement is an open request…

Hello @Raju You can use Jira macro for this purpose along with jira charts. In Jira macros you can write JQL to fetch data from Jira When it comes to showing sprint data from Jira in confluence then best it to follow the below article…

Yes "W" is for watching the issue, but on the server version "w" is for logging work thus best is to have consistent behaviour while logging time hence the open ticket. For classic projects we can log time by click on the 3 dots, but that's not possible on next-gen.

Hello @Varrun SS Currently it's not possible to change the parent of the sub-task via the REST API Please see the response from Atlassian on this question https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/Can-I-change-the-parent-field-of-sub-task-in-Jira-via-REST-API/qaq-p/750954

Hello @jurrutia Since your query is "How can I filter all tickets linked to the stories of a certain epic?" try this issueFunction in linkedIssuesOf("(issueFunction in issuesInEpics('key= ABC-4') and issueFunction in hasLinks())") This gets you all the linked issues of the child issues of the epic "ABC-4"
-
Yes, this is a good option as well, and role based validation is also supported by the built-in scripts (simple scripted validator) of the script runner

Hello @Svante Jacobsen If you are using next-gen projects, then they don't yet support proper time tracking. Open request here https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-17447 Time Tracking not available for Next-Gen Software Projects For normal projects the shortcut "W" is not working and that's an verified bug.…

Hello @Johnathan Teo Having the code in the post-function is not possible but it's best to have it as part of the transition screen. So that resolution is not set you can set "error" on the fixVersion and when resolution is set you can then "clearError" using setError method from API will prevent the user from submitting…

Hello @Aya Kassem Just to add to the answer from Mark, reporting is a very wide topic. I suggest you to read-up on the default reports provided by Jira and how you can use JQL to create custom reports. https://www.atlassian.com/blog/jira-software/jql-the-most-flexible-way-to-search-jira-14…

Hello @Johnathan Teo The code samples you have in the screenshot and the ability to hide/show fields and the API you have used are part of the "Behaviour" module of the Script runner plugin and not the post-function, using this in post-funciton will not work.…

Hello @MK As a rule of thumb, if everything seems ok and still it doesn't seems to work, then always try the same operation in the "incognito" mode of chrome. I always do that and it's pretty helpful because in Incognito mode there is no cache and no previous session cookies stored.

Hello @Aravindi Amarasinghe I suggest you to also follow some basic java tutorials as errors like "java.lang.ClassCastException: java.lang.Class cannot be cast to com.atlassian.jira.user.ApplicationUser" Are pretty straightforward to resolve, but if you are struggling with these errors I suggest you to have some tutorials…

Can you please share the screenshot of the movie issue permission from the project permission scheme and also, the screenshot of the "permission helper" for the relevant user for the "movie issue" permission.

Hello @Nischal Sharma When you say "what amount of story points are completed or not completed as per my definition of done." This is what burndown chart is for, i.e. the status on the right-most column of the board shoudl be in harmony with the "definition of done" for the team, so that when the issue moves to the…

Hello @Thomas When you say "between parent pages" can you elaborate on this? Because in Confluence you can easily move pages along with child pages. And while moving you can select the new "parent" page. and in this way you can "bulk" move pages.

Hello @sunil tattimani "My need was to create story from project 'A' selectively either in project "B" or "C" and not in both "B" and "C" simultaneously."
