I had been build a project for days fine, and then I started working through the admin page - https://developer.atlassian.com/display/DOCS/Plugin+tutorial+-+Writing+an+Admin+Configuration+Screen and this issue cropped up - think sometime around adding the backend REST service, or the config object.

Atlassian has great developer docs that will walk through most examples, but probably in some separate places. * general stash development (make your first plugin) https://developer.atlassian.com/stash/docs/latest/how-tos/creating-a-stash-plugin.html * available module types ( your plugin will use 1 or more of these )…

not true. trusted apps and oauth bnoth work fine when properly configured.

To pro-actively monitor and manage agents I have released a free and open source plugin until Atlassian fills the gap. The use of UUID tokens over credentials allows scripted interactions from tools like monit. https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.edwardawebb.bamboo-agent-apis…

I do not beleive a gadget exists to serve that up in an embedaable format (opensocial, html/js) but all the plumbing needed is exposed buy the confluence internal API and REST API https://developer.atlassian.com/display/CONFDEV/Confluence+in-app+notifications+and+tasks+API

catalina.out probably configured as the console logger in your config. You could chaneg that, or try using filters. http://logging.apache.org/log4j/2.x/manual/configuration.html#Filters Also see this SO question for solutions to either stop all ligging to catalina, or roll the file over.…

Not currently, express your interest here, https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-1373 to encourage an implementation.

You likely need to manually reindex the parent issue. By default workflows issue a Reindex on the current issue/ BUt if your maniulating others, they will need a reindex as well.

Logs and Artifacts have the same permissions as general "view" in bamboo. * You can submit/vote for an enhancement to allow log level permissions OR * You can not print sensitive information in the logs. * Remove View access to Bamboo for a Closed Source project....

That's great Todor! Glad you are seeing better performance now!
-
What OS is the remote machine? What OS is the bamboo agent running on? It is very unlikely that a windows (assuming IIS based on folder name) machine has root folder /wwwroot. It is likely this folder is under c:/Inetpub/wwwroot on both machines.…

Are you using the full path and not a ~ for the remote? are you sure the source dir has the file? What method are you using for authentication?

Is that access logs or application logs? You may want to talk to the plugin? author, but you can try thropugh JIRA's profiling and logging page. App Logs https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Logging+and+Profiling Find the package/class name it uses in the logs, i.e. com.somecompany.foobar.NoisyClass "..... and…

I think you hit the nail on the head Kyle. Binary dependencies should not be in source, and versioned. Consider tools like Gradle, Maven or language specific dependency management solutions (npm, rvm, etc) Ignoring the pain for developers, your release and deploy processes are all constrained by the same burden. I would…

If you are modifying JIRA templates to insert your own scripts, you may need to encounter "geeky" answers... Instead of using jquery, use AJS, atlassian's wrapper. AJS.$(document).ready(function() { Second, use the page source view (ctrl+U in chrome) to verify that the IDs are both still valid.

We ran into this as the result of using custom card colors based on JQL. Have you modified card colors or anything else about the board? Are some Quick Filters enabled that are slowing the board down?
-
Do you have tortoisegit installed, or any non-standard git tools? My thought is that git config is the issue. Both working examples rely on shells (bash or windows command) which typicallty have hooks to set environment properties. Bamboo will exec out to git from a java process, and so git needs to know what SSH program…
-
You asked how they do it... You could certainlty write your own plugins to do the same. The APIs and applinks are very easy to build on.

JIRA Service Desk allows you to link to a KNowledge Base space in Confluence. Users will get suggetsed documents and answers as they type input details. https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/service-desk?section=userexperience

Thanks @ben. User never got back to me with the storage plugin version, or additional details after I suggested consdering an update to UPM. So I am not sure if that means they just gave up, or it fixed the issue. Thanks for the help!
-
Thanks for taking a look @Ben ! My UPM compatibility version is 2.3 - so perhaps that is my problem if the client is still back on 2.1.5. I and inquired about the license-storage-plugin version For the OBR distribution, i would have to make the changes of DynamicImport -> Import, and your other advice from the previous…

Yes, the size and properties can be tuned by editing dbconfig.xml in the root of the home directory. I think this one, pool-min-idle may help your DBA's concern. WHich by default is == to max connections apprenently. The minimum number of database connections that are allowed to remain idle in the pool. Having this value…

@Guenter - if you feel strongly, I suggest you raise a well-worded ticket here, https://jira.atlassian.com and make your case for the Atlassian team to address. If feasible and highly desired they usually will deliver.
-
I would suggest you modify the userMacro in question to just generate the link rather then the page name.
-
I know you mentioned the System Info page, did you also verify the arguments show in the log as you expect? In the past I recall having to sometimes quote arguments for some jvm processes, "-Datlassian.mail.senddisabled=true" "..." Otherwise it sounds like this may be a bug worth raising with Atlassian.

I belive the 2nd link (stylesheet) was the older approach, and limited you to a css file that altered the layout. The first link should be used, and allows for richer integration and customization. Also the first method results in a full-blown plugin so you can add any configuration or extras (macros, etc).

Hi Sri - you can use "Continue Discussion" to add additional comments to this answer. (posting as new answers loses the "thread" of discussion). As far as the change - we support 10,000+ users, but we have non-prod environments where we 'tweak around' things. I must assume the same about your company? The directive I…

Have you tried specifying an alternate path as the resource directory? https://jamieechlin.atlassian.net/wiki/display/GRV/Script+Runner#ScriptRunner-Conditions,Validators,Post-Functions If you would like to separate out your scripts from jira, as of 2.0.3 you can you use the system property plugin.resource.directories…

Follow Jira performance guidelines outline here https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRAKB/JIRA+Performance+Tuning. We run Bamboo, Jira, COnfluence, Crowd, and FIsheye on a single server, 4CPU, 8Gigs of ram without much impact to users. How ram did you allocate to Jira? 16 gigs on the box means nothing if jira can…

Are you defining a context for the webresources to load on? Your templates must explicitly source the web-resources, or declare a context the web resource is bound to. YOu can use Devtools in Chrome, or similar on other browsers to see if any of your resources, including the jquery lib are being loaded.
