Yes, they goofed up the order of some very brittle M$ tags in the velocity templates. I reported the fix here, https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-33941, and they have coded into ondemand release and it awaits QA review for the download release.

I don't think JIRA/Confluence are targetted for such a use. Confluence is a great collaborative/documentation tool, but to manage the intricate relationships between recipes and components another tool choice would probably be better. I am thinking an enterprise portfolio managment tool would help with the links between,…

Thanks @Ryan, that's just what I was looking for. I'll add server.xml to the files I just copy over.
-
I don't think what you want is explicitly possible. There is not a "browse users" permission in Confluence like JIRA has. But if you don't allow the users to leave comments, or create pages, (use and view only) then their names should not show up anywhere ..

Where is the email stored? You should be able to use the value of a field as the email address. issue.reporter.emailAddress issue.customFieldValue(CustomField)
-
The best way to do this is as part of the workflow, on the initial transition from Create -> Open. You can add your own "post-function", one of which allows you to send custom emails. This is incredibaly easy with Jamie's excellent Script Runner plugin.…

Just a note that passing credentials in the URL like that is a bad idea, as it will be historicallyt visible in many places including access logs, browser history, and any proxying services.
-
Your right Matt. We have a single apache install with a virtual IP assigned to ourserver for each app server behind the proxy. We then use IP virtual hosts, with each defining its own ssl config. This approach works without issue for us. I thought name support was standard as of 2.2.x... what version of Apache are you…

You don't need to write any groovy scripts yourself, as an auto-close subtasks one is provided with the Script Runner plugin. You would only need to make sure the sub-task Ids are correct. Otherwise I suggest you vote for https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-17500

@Nathan, no I think Kanban is right for you based on that criteria. Seems like an unfortunate miss that you can't show that field in the issue details.
-
WHat are you using for sprint tracking? Remaining time should be at the very top of the issue detail view:

1) After i add Javascript code, it never excutes and also it disappears once i reopen source code page. Confluence prevents the execution of Javascript in page content, which would be a huge security risk. YOu should write a user-macro instead. https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Writing+User+Macros 2) when i add…

I would look at your heap size and object allocation using an APM tool or heap analyzer. Do the logs indicate any errors before it crashes? It may be a big revision is causing a number of objects to force excessive Garbage Collection. You can try increasing heap, but I would only suggest that if you see memory issues.

We ran into this issue as a result of conflicting database and file system. i.e. the icons are still there, but the hashes used in the database no longer point there. Restore the DB and filesystem to the same version (pre-upgrade), and attempt the upgrade again. Do testing between each upgrade to isolate the step that…

Did you update the remote agent to be the 4.2 jar, is ist running under the same user? Can you manually execute that script as the user that runs the bamboo remtoe agent?
-
Install this must have plugin, https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.atlassian.jira.plugins.jira-admin-helper-plugin and enter the users and select the "create issue" event. The tool will tell you why (or why not) the users would be notified/

You may need to dig into the logs, could be a connection timeout. You can enable DEBUG logging on the plugin specifically if needed, though I suspect there should be something already. Check the Application Link configuration in Confluence and validate overall connectivity. (You could also try using CTRL+SHIFT+J while…

Its not at all ideal for your needs, but I think you can get that behavior with a work-around assuming you really are using points during your planning retros, and time estimates within the sprint cycle. Configure the board to use story points for estimates during sprint planning. When you look at velocity, it will be…

Confluence runs as the user it is invoked under https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Creating+a+Dedicated+User+Account+on+the+Operating+System+to+Run+Confluence You wil need to login/su to the account for the confluence user. You can also use a sticky bit or sudo on 'nix systems.

Ok, so if you want them to only see the board, they will need permission to view the issues (Browse Issues). That's just the way JIRA works. Being able to see the issues is the same permission to see the project. So you can restrict them to only to be able to see 1 project, or even some issues in 1 project. But you can not…

If you are using ondemand there is not DB involved. Are you referring to JIRA Agile (GH) boards?

Sounds like a really great (but absent) feature! I logged an enhancement request with the Service Desk team, this is something I would love to see. Feek free to add your own thoughts/spin to https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSD-428

Yes, you can. Its always risky to do this type of stuff, and youll wanrt to be sure you backup first. You should be able to manipulater 3/4 tables in the DB related to change history. https://developer.atlassian.com/display/JIRADEV/Change+History Or (although I never tried this method) you could use a plugin or grovvy…

Is JIRA acting as the authorization server, or do both connect back to LDAP/AD/Crowd? -- Either way, scour the logs for Confluence for auth failure reasons. -- If yes, scour the logs fro JIRA for rejected auth attempts from confluence. -- If using crowd it is likely the crowd password was not set in the 2 required places.…

Adam, have you tried to set the password directly in the DB as specified here? https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Retrieving+the+JIRA+Administrator#RetrievingtheJIRAAdministrator-2.Setthepassworddirectlyinthedatabase If that user does not exist at all then your install may have gone south, and (since you can;'t…

You may want to consider a test management tool, and integration with JIRA. Otherwise some workarounds could be found through a workflow event and a scripting plugin. For instance when an issue of a particular type moves from "Under Development" to "User Testing" you could automaticly spawn a number of child tickets. You…

No, the Bitbucklet team decided to keep BB tracker simple. https://bitbucket.org/site/master/issue/5487/custom-fields-for-issues-bb-6719 Actually even JIRA by default only provdes a Priority field. A severity field would need to be manually created. https://confluence.atlassian.com/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=192840

Ahh nice. Good to see it does use it for the comments and commits as well. https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/BAM-12080 has been created as an enhancement request. Thanks Przemek!

Not sure the use case for linking a zendesk ticket (user interactions) with a scrum board (planned user stories) makes much sense to me, and it is possible the authors of the ZenDesk integration focused on the kanban board UI for that reason. You may also want to check the filter and settings for the scrum board to be sure…

Actually I am quite sure Author is the only mandatory field, moderator may be required depending on the project config. https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CRUCIBLE/Creating+a+review
