Hi Buddy, As I know sidebar with Epics and Versions (on the left) ONLY appears on Plan mode. It is not possible to view it in a different place (e.g Work mode). -Mirek

Hi Steve, On production we are using 4.2.1 however I did a test upgrade to 5.0.2 on the test system and the issue still exist.. FYI.. This is also an issue not only when mentioning an user but also when starting to search for him using search field. Maybe this will help find the cause of it..

Hi Steve, I am pretty sure that Build index from scratch will not fix this.. We are having the same problem for a loooooong time hoping that new version of Confluence will fix that but unfortunately this is probably a bigger issue.. maybe related to Crowd.. do not know.. In our case only few users are having this problem..…

It depends what you mean by a project. In JIRA project is a container for issues/tickets. If a project is only creating and resolving an issue then you might use issue types as a sub-projects. Then every project will be a issue type. However if you would like to have in every project a structure that holds bugs, new…

Hi Malte, Unfortunately comments cannot be included in Excel export.. As you mentioned you can only export comments when you will do an export all issues to Word. In this case all comments will be available. Regards, Mirek

Did you tried to create two separate Boards with different configuration for one project?

Hi Jason, There is a few ways of doing that without accessing the database.. I can describe few different and maybe you can use one of them.. I not we can try more options :) .. First.. If this page was recently updated you can go to the space were the page is choose Browse and Pages.. If you will look at Recently Updated…
-
Hi Jason, You do not need to remove the page.. You can try to figure out page ID .. go direcly to page history (Tools > Page History) on any working page and using link like that will appear on the top http://yourconfluence/pages/viewpreviousversions.action?pageId=1234567 change the page ID at the end to the one that is…

Currently we are creating Epics with a 'THEMES' component In addition we are adding THEME: prefix in the summary in every Epic that should be tracked as a Theme.. That give us ability to quicly search, find wanted Themes and link to other tickets using Epic/Theme functionality. -Mirek
-
Hi andydavo.. Yes .. you are right.. Using components it is a good way also and we choose already that way in the past.. -Mirek
-
Renjith, So what is your proposition of using a label to capture a Theme? I am having for example below Themes: * Managing Project Budgets * Managing Program Details * ... And I want to connect them to some Epics that are connected to stories using OOTB Epic/Theme field. Should I create a new customfield named "Theme"…

Nic is right.. Database change is the last thing you want to do. But wait.. Why you cannot convert a subtask to and issue and then convert an issue to a sub-task back again? This will allow you to change the parent to other ticket without touching the database or using REST. Other case if you want to do it for mulitple…

Bill, I was mentioning about those two things in my feedback when I saw beta version of the CQ. That is why CQ-1133 was created. As you can see is it is pretty important feature to have it. I hope that the rest of the features reported in the beta phase will be also implemented soon. Mirek

By "modification screen" you mean screen when editing a created ticket (Edit screen)? If so then you need to probably define the tabs also on that screen. Create and Edit screens might be different.

Hi Joseph, A I know on Questions each topics will have experts, right?.. There might be a problem realted to that.. I already mentioned this in my answer to this question.. https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/301589/atlassian-answers-is-moving-to-confluence-questions So before making it live please make a good decision…

Hi Mick, In my opinion you can specify now which tag you want to search. However a lot of people do not use correct tag or don't use it even. In Confluence Questions you will have topics. This will be working in a similar why like tags now, however I do not know yet who will be responsible for creating new topics..…

Hi Adam, If you are an administrator of JIRA (or know someone that is) and you are using JIRA 4.4 and grather.. Then you can simply change the ownership of the dashboard/filter to someone else.. For more information please look at the documentation: http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA044/Managing+Shared+Filters…

Hi, Did you tried Subscriptions? https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Receiving+Search+Results+via+Email You can schedule them, and send to a group so it should be possible to match your needs. -Mirek

Hi Svein, If you are on your Boars then you can always make font smaller by using a combination: * Ctrl + Scrl Down/Scrl Up (Mouse) * Ctrl + (-/+) button (keyboard) This is helpful to quickly and dynamicly change the font on a page. I hope that will help. Best Regards, Mirek

As I mentioned already.. try to avoid not needed restarts. I do not recommend it as a practice of maintenance. Nic bring up one of the reasons why it is not a good practice.
-
Better than trying to find a scheduled restart mechanism, try to avoid not needed restarts. I know that from time to time is good to free up some resources but JIRA should be stable enough to avoid restarts. Number of users do not only count when speaking about performance. There are other aspects that may be important.…

Hi Ives, If you are using an OnDemand instance then to resolve problem I think that you cannot do more than just create a support ticket on support.atlassian.com. I hope that the issue will be resolved soon. Best Regards, Mirek
