  • Hi @Hege Skurdal - Welcome to the Community! I guess @Tom Kucharski _SoftwarePlant_ and his team can confirm that directly, but from what I know it works also on Jira Core. When you go to the Marketplace it shows the version of Jira Server that is compatible (including Cloud and Data Center)…
  • I think exactly FAQ answer directly your question: https://www.atlassian.com/licensing/starter?_ga=2.204040976.1001363585.1525075037-344968178.1499334213#bamboo-1 Let me post it also here so that in future if there would ba dead link it would be clear With a Bamboo Starter License, you are restricted to 10 build Jobs, and…
  • New badge challenge? Yay! ..
  • Yeah!.. every day getting closer to Christmas! :)
  • It depends on the usage. I suggest to check out this page https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/jira-applications-installation-requirements-938846826.html Overall either Linux or Windows is OK to run Jira. As a experienced admin I personally prefer Linux (redhat/centos/debian is fine) since you can do more stuff…
  • Yes @marnorautenbach, you are right and I agree with you. The vision where you have everything in one place is good but not the current implementation. That is not a separate product that you install and maintain. It is a simple project that exist next to other projects available only for Cloud instances and does not give…
  • Yes. Probably by few methods (depends if apps are installed as aa service or not). One of them is to create a startup script for your apps and put on the beginning sleep 60 and execute it from rc.local that should delay by a minute.
  • Hi @James Gaskin, Not sure which system are you using, but if this is Jira then yes.. there are many options of configuring email (OOTB and with addons) to achieve updating tickets via that channel. Basic configuration requires setting up Incoming Email (done via POP or IMAP).
  • Yes, however it depends what you want to track, how many tickets... etc. Below is a example how you can set up your trello board. https://blog.trello.com/how-to-transform-trello-into-a-powerful-bug-tracker-with-the-marker-power-up https://usersnap.com/integrations/trello Overall I personally prefer Jira for that or Jira…
  • If you use Jira SD you still need to have Confluence. Anyway SD is only having integration when you create a ticket not a complete KB system. The only choice I think it is Confluence.
  • Comment data should be possible to get from rest/api/2/issue/{issuekey} or also if you need individual comment then you might need use this... rest/api/2/issue/{issuekey}/comment/{comment-id-goes-here}
  • When your license officially expired? Jira 7.10.1 was released on 13 Jun 2018 so if the license expired later than this date you can still upgrade to that version (overall to all versions that were under active maintenance)
  • Hi @Niels Beckers, That is interesting what you say that Content Tools are not available on Cloud version since I see them on my site. Maybe you are looking in wrong menu? Could you please follow this guide to check first step?…
  • Like the RED error says: "Site must be at least 6 characters, lowercase letters and numbers only" "AMmarkets" is not lowercase..
in Hi Comment by Mirek November 2018
  • Hi @Gerald Vassallo, What you mean by "automatically changed to new experience"? Could you please clarify?
  • That was exactly my point :) .. You cannot have classic Scrum/Kanban boards used with Next-Gen projects. It is all Next-Gen or nothing. Glad that it is clear for you now :)
  • According to this guide - https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftwarecloud/migrate-between-next-gen-and-classic-projects-957974933.html Story points estimation: This data will be lost, however you'll be able to start using story points estimation by enabling the Estimation feature in your next-gen project. Story points…
  • Hi @Jason Wong, For me this is like reinventing the wheel but pretty more expensive than the previous version.. I remember "JIRA" limits 10 years ago and maybe not you directly but a different team also started a journey of improving performance, announcing that Jira is able to handle well 100k issues, then 200k.. then…
  • Hi @Corinne MacCormack As I know if you are using Next-Gen project then Components (similar to sub-tasks, required fields, versions, .. ) are not yet available for that type of project. It is a pretty early development stage, so until all elements would be available for that type it would take some time...
  • Yes, it is FREE. It is used to edit the files directly from Confluence. You need to have installed on your local client and currently only available for Mac and Windows. https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/atlassian-companion-app-release-notes-958455712.html
  • This upgrade (from 6.2.4 to 6.6) should be pretty straightforward however it is always good to do a test on a test instance. If you do not have it I recommend to create one. Overall for Confluence you follow that step by step guide https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/upgrading-confluence-4578.html Plugins and addons is a…
  • Hi @Ravi Mistry, Unfortunately this is not possible yet. As many thing currently this is on Atlassian Roadmap... "Required fields, default values and more custom field types and options coming soon." When this could be live? No idea. That is not an official information yet.
  • I just tried to reproduce this on my side and I was not able to .. I removed and recreated the space without any problem. Since you are using cloud I think that is the time to talk directly to Atlassian Support. https://support.atlassian.com/contact/
  • Hi @Jess Gillett - Welcome to Community! Unfortunately deleting a space is permanent – it does not go to the trash and cannot be undone as the warning is mentioning when deleting a space.. This mean that if you did not do any backup of your space.. all the content is gone forever :(
  • Hmm.. Not sure if this is OOTB feature since in Jira this is not implemented yet to add Future Sprint dates - https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWSERVER-7740 So, the one way is that you are using Jira Labs feature called Parallel Sprints that allow starting more than one sprint at the same time. Anyway in order to change…
  • I think this documentations would give you answers to your question https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/increasing-jira-application-memory-938847654.html
  • Hi @Jason Wong Thank you for replying.. Let me continue the conversation (if I can of course :)) The first thing I'd like to address is that the new features we've built into next-gen go a lot deeper than UI change. There are data model changes that means features like Roadmaps do not work on classic projects. We took the…
  • I think this AMA is related to Jira Cloud not Server but maybe you can create a new Question on community or directly a ticket to Atlassian and someone would be able to help you with your problem.
  • — managers will see only theirs issues in this project (e.g. I am manager1, and I don't see issues created by manager2) If I am a manager and I create a ticket (that should be only visible to me) then I become the Creator/Reporter of this issue. So if you define a default Security Level called for example "Restricted" and…
  • — nobody of them will see other projects / issues / users etc It depends on your other project permissions. If admins in other project would add a group or individual user to the project they would see it. You do not have much control on that. — project lead will be the only assignable user There is a permission Assignable…
