There are a number of different approaches to this depending on whether you want to do a one-time import or retain a link between the content in MS Project and JIRA. If all you want is to import once and stop updating MS Project then the easiest approach is to create a CSV file as explained…

Hi Valentina, You can certainly use the two-dimensional gadget as indicated by @Vasiliy Zverev, but I would extend this answer a little bit. Step 1 create a saved filter restricting to bugs for only those projects you are interested in. Step 2 create a dashboard with appropriate gadgets installed to display the results of…

As always JIRA is configurable to meet your business requirements. I can certainly see the case of managers wanting reports but the question is what does the report actually show? Who has next action on an issue - in which case as you say having a complete issue makes little sense. If the report is about who resolved the…
-
@BSB Raghav Could you share where you see the syntax? I would use one of the plugins to create subtasks and copy values from the parent issue. For example ScriptRunner. If your requirements match another option is Bob Swifts Clone+.
-
Hi Elinor, Yes this is possible - you need to base the second board off a filter rather than the project. To achieve this and to gain maximum benefit you should follow these steps. * Create a filter to select the issues which are going to be handled by your "special case" developer. You may like to think about how you…

Hi Tim, Nice idea but not one that I have found a way of achieving yet with the current tools and their core functionality of JIRA Software. I would suggest raising this as an improvement option to Atlassian in jira.atlassian.com or using the third party option described below. Phill [edited response following later reply]

Set the permission scheme for the project to have Project Admin for users with the role Project Administrator Then on the project user roles add this person to the project Role Project Administrator.
-
I assume you are looking at the documentation at https://scriptrunner.adaptavist.com/latest/jira/builtin-scripts.html#_fast_track_transition_an_issue which includes how to transition a parent issue when all linked tasks are closed. The example provided in here showing auto closure refers to subtasks and the entry needs to…

Remember that there have been changes in the model of licencing between JSD 1 and 2. Also between JSD 2 and 3 the role of Collaborator has been replaced with Service Desk Team role to refer to the users who will help resolve an issue.
-
The simple answer is Yes. But the more complex follow on is how do you want to manage your ideas? You can start simple and build up as you define your requirements. Here are some of the ways you can customise JIRA to help. Issue type - Create a new issue type called Idea Custom fields - Create custom fields to capture…

Users are able to challenge in the most surprising of ways... Hopefully your work with them on restructuring will help them go forward in a more informed way.

Hi @Trudy Claspill I see from your other comment that you are on JIRA 6.3.12. So here is an option for you to consider. Rather than using the Agile reports you can use a dashboard gadget that provides you with the ability to total values (such as…

Further to the comments from Nic above. I suspect that you have recently updated the JVM from 7.X to 8.X and the options required are slightly different. Could you also provide the fill set of JVM options that are currently defined. From your initial message you can see that the MaxPermSize=384m is no longer a recognised…

Your licence renewal should have come as JIRA Software and if this is the case you are fully covered and can ignore the details about JIRA Agile as they will all carry on as before. Check in the new section of JIRA 7 what applications are registered for your licence. Alternatively have a look at my.atlassian.com to confirm…
-
Hi Raiko Yes you can licence each application independently and do not have to have a common set of users. So a user can be only in the 500 for JIRA, only in the 100 for Confluence or in both. You may like to consider how you will manage these users. For your example I would recommend using JIRA as your Master User…

Hi Corinna Glad it worked for you. Please remember to accept my answer so that anyone else searching for the same problem will find this page.Phill
-
Do you have a field after the ORDER BY clause? eg project = DAIENTRY ORDER BY assignee
-
Hi Corinna If you look at the filter in the search for issues and switch to Advanced view you will then see if there is an ORDER BY clause present if not you can simply add ORDER BY assignee and save the filter.

Hi @Tom Crespi No worries about not recognising the name there are enough of us out there! Yeah I missed summit this year as I changed jobs and now work for Adaptavist so had to hand over my AUG Leadership. Doing well in new role and getting to work with lots more Atlassian customers too.Hope to see you at Summit next year…

Thanks for the upvote @Tom Crespi I agree with Tom that combining the Gliffy diagram with hyperlinks to your documented guidance would be a great way forward. Good luck with your documentation.
-
You can draw out the decisions using a Gliffy diagram. Or alternatively you could create a tree hierarchy of pages based upon your decision points. The latter would of course give you more opportunity to provide guidance than a simple diagram.

If you have bulk edit permissions you can select the list of impacted issues and then do a bulk update to the resolution field setting the value to none. As always with bulk edits take great care in your selection and look at the confirm page to make sure you know exactly what is going to happen.
-
What issue are you facing in moving a work log? Perhaps you could provide more context to enable someone to assist you.
-
You are seeing exactly how JIRA Software/Agile is setup to work with only the completion of an activity impacting the remaining values. There is no way to change this at present.
-
Hi Davina Tsosie As a quick check - "Have you checked your post-functions on this transition to see if it is overwriting the change made on the screen with a set value?" Hope this helps Phill
-
You can achieve this using several of the plugins. See https://scriptrunner.adaptavist.com/latest/jira/builtin-scripts.html#_clones_an_issue_and_links for an example of how this is done with a clone of an issue. You can apply the same principles to creating a subtask.
-
Sorry I did not understand that from your initial question.
-
If you just need to know the totals then you can write a filter to retrieve the number of issues in each case. Created total would look something like this. Created < -30d And closed would look something like this. Created <-30d and resolutiondate <-30d This assumes you are using the created vs resolved gadget with 30…

Without testing on an identical system I would try the following in a development environment. As JIRA software and Service Desk both contain JIRA core you should update JIRA Software and then update the Service Desk addon from manage Addons.
