Micah, Try using the JIRA Admin Helper tool. Just navigate to an issue where you cannot see it, select Admin > Where's my field and it will tell you. If you're not seeing it in the View Issue screen, one possibility for example is that the field doesn't actually have any value yet, so try seeing it in the Edit screen…

Anytime! And sorry I couldn't be of further help with this. :)
-
Yes, sorry about the confusion. Alternatively you can change the icon to a text or possibly customize the whole javascript to make the text appear when you hover. Unfortunately, how to write this JavaScript falls out of my knowledge. :/
-
I don't believe it is possible to edit the tooltip text, and unfortnunately neither the (?) help button nor the text from the description of the field will appear on the inline editing of the issue. The only thing I can think of that may help in this case is to create a help bubble for any fields by using JavaScript on the…

No worries. If you are using OnDemand please do contact Atlassian Support as per my comment above. ;)
-
aahh, in this case you'll probably want to open a support case in https://support.atlassian.com under the OnDemand Support Project, and they'll be able to do it for you (read: you do not have access to the database in OnDemand). If you want though, you can possibly try adding the status multiple times. That is, altough…

Try the following: * Create an XML backup of JIRA (always do that before modifying the database!); * Shutdown JIRA; * Run the following update against the database:update SEQUENCE_VALUE_ITEM set seq_id = (SELECT max(id)+100 FROM issuestatus) where seq_name = 'Status'; * Restart JIRA and try to add it again.

Hi Chris, You can use rest using the call /rest/api/2/component/{id} - Using PUT you can update the fields of the component. As per https://docs.atlassian.com/jira/REST/latest/#d2e3939: Modify a component via PUT. Any fields present in the PUT will override existing values. As a convenience, if a field is not present, it…

JIRA doesn't have a default "work hour", only how many hours a work day has: Configuring Time Tracking.
-
This was taken away intentionally as it was believed to be unnecessary, but since it was highly demanded by JIRA users, it was implemented again in JIRA 5.2! See JRA-28870 for more information on this. :)

You can also use the Craftforge JQL Functions Plugin, which can do this and is free. You just need to use "issue in/not in linkedIssuesFromQuery("JQL query")" or "linkedIssuesFromFilter("filter name or its id")" function of the plugin (and the derivations of these functions).

Check if this happens in different browsers as well. Also, try accessing JIRA through http://<ip-address>:<port> and see if the problem also happens. Other than that, try using Chrome's Developer Tools or Firebug in Firefox to troubleshoot why this error is occurring.

Elke, To sum up what both of my collegues said above, to change how many buttons are displayed in the Issue View in JIRA you'll need to: * Edit the <tt>jira-config.properties</tt> file in your JIRA Home Directory - if you don't have this file, you'll need to manually create it (see Advanced JIRA Configuration); * Add the…
-
Indeed you'll need to change this option in the <tt>jira-config.properties</tt> file rather than in the <tt>jira-application.properties </tt>if you are running a more recent release of JIRA. Also, in new JIRA installations, this file may not initially exist and if so, needs to be created manually - Just add the…

Ivan, do you have any proxy in front of JIRA and Confluence? If so, try bypassing the proxy while creating the application links. That is, try using <ip-address>:<port> instead of the proxied URL.

Hey Mike, What about exporting a backup of the original and restore into the 3 different "sub" instances? You can then simply delete the unwanted projects from each of those three. I believe this is the easiest way to do that, and with that you won't actually have to reconfigure anything (user management, fields,…

Hi Kite, As you noticed on https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-27809, this should indeed be fixed. While I don't think you'll need to rename your workflows after upgrading, if that is necessary you should be able to do so by simply navigating to Administration » Issues » Workflows and editing each of the workflows. You…

Hi William, Isn't this the same as https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/230871/error-when-linking-jira-and-confluence ? Cheers

Hi Karim, Try starting it as a root - see https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-20393:)

Perhaps the JIRA Agile may help? https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira-agile/overview/the-highlight-reel Using Scrum Boards you can plan your sprint, and map the issue's ranking through drag-n-drop. Also, you'll be able to see all issues in a filter/project through the planning mode of the Scrum Board.
-
Sorry, I forgot to add that part. Yes, that too!
-
Yes, you can. Just download JIRA , transfer it to the server and install it there. You can get the license key from My Atlassian (the license key doesn't need internet connection to be applied).

Hi, If you want to delete the filters and dashboards or you don't mind letting them private, a easy way would be to delete all the shared filters/dashboards (feature available since JIRA 4.4.1): - Managing Shared Filters - Managing Shared Dashboards This way, all the shared items would be deleted, and the private ones…

Vladimir, It looks as this custom field is configured to use the Default Text Renderer. To configure this, simply navigate to Administration » Projects » "Your project", select Fields and edit the Field Configuration for this issue type. You'll see a "Renderer" option next to the custom field name. Cheers, Matheus

Perhaps is the same case as in this question: How do you embed JavaScript for a custom field in Jira 5.x Or, this documentation in the Atlassian Developers site may help: How do you embed JavaScript for a custom field in Jira 5.x

I do believe so, Krishna. Take a look in this page: JIRA system administrators can define which fields of sub-tasks are displayed in the Sub-Tasks section on the 'view issue' page of a parent issue (which contains one or more sub-tasks). This is done by editing the value of the jira.table.cols.subtasks property on JIRA's…

Paven, Clone Plus also has versions for JIRA 6.2, see https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/org.swift.jira.clone-plus/versions.If you install the plugin through the Administration » Add-ons » Find add-ons, it will install the correct version. :)
