Can I suggest space pirates?

For me it was Lego, and it still is :) One of my favorite purchases last year was the new Lego knights castle as it reminded me so much of the old one I got long ago :)

Thanks for sharing @Chris Boys ! I love the idea on using a closing ceremony to bring an end to the year and give the team mental closure. It's so important, especially in a remote setting.
-
I'm happy you found it inspiring, I hope it will inspires others too now that it's out in the open :)
-
I always went back home for lunch, which was often just sandwiches. Simple but tasty.
-
@Darline Auguste , thanks for sharing. I totally agree that with the right team and focus work doesn't even feel like work :) It's both a blessing and a curse if that happens. I love the out of office blocks in your calendar when you're not available. I've done that too both at Atlassian and MongoDB as too many people…

I'm currently re-reading the full Discworld series by Terry Pratchett. I'm in love with the universe and the characters he created.

Hi @Dori Burnett , this looks super exciting, I wanted to look at the Devs Unleashed page but the link gives a 403 (You don't have permission to view this page). Will this only open up on December 12? Cheers, Peter

Thanks for all the wonderful replies and inputs. @Viktoriya Borisova : I like the bunching similar tasks together approach. @Dave Mathijs : I too have my email notifications muted, I only try to look at them when I'm done with a task. @Mel Policicchio : It can be very difficult to feel 'visible' as a remote employee. One…

Maybe with a full backup restore, but that goes beyond doing an export - import.

Hi @Veronica Brooker , Yes this is the expected behaviour.

I believe busting Myth #8 is key, the perfect time to apply is today, not tomorrow, not when you think you're ready. Like Atlassian once said:

My fictitious answer would be: Star Trek Replicators as this technology ensures that every need of every person on this planet can be taken care off. My real world answer: free unlimited energy, as this would give us the ability to provide for everyone.

Great topic! For me it would be everything from Tom Scott: https://www.youtube.com/@TomScottGo All the Lego reviews from Tiago Catarino: https://www.youtube.com/@TiagoCatarino And for a while I used to be really into coinpusher videos like the ones from Clawdood: https://www.youtube.com/@ClawD00d Cheers, Peter

I've been going back through the Miscellaneous Mondays threads because they are so random and fun. This one made me really appreciate the immense diversity of trees we have on this little blue dot. My favorite weird tree is certainly the Joshua Tree: On our honeymoon my wife and I took a detour through Joshua Tree park and…

I too still have my Atlassian Answers Jacket, it's probably one of the longest lasting pieces of SWAG I have (together with my "Don't Drink And Code" and "Atlassian Dragon Slayer" t-shirts :)

For me it was building hideouts and camps up in the trees. We once build a 'treehouse' that had 3 floors, spread across 2 different trees. With the highest platform at almost 11 meters above the ground and only reachable through a 2 rope bridge from one tree to the other (6 meters above the ground and about 5 meters long).…

Thanks for the mention @Dirk Ronsmans , it's good to be back. Here is my picture from the Belgian ACE event: It was great to meet @Mark Cruth in person, and his session about the State of Teams Report did really well with the audience. Also a big shout out to Andy from Old Street Solutions and Samie from Gliffy for their…

It wasn't my first choice either, but Singapore Airlines didn't give me the option to fly out of Amsterdam, I could only select the flight if I started in Brussels. Don't know why. And I needed their flight otherwise it would have taken me 50 hours to get to Sydney instead of the 30 hours it took me now. I booked pretty…

Great question @Andy Gladstone , also very timely as I just returned from my first business trip in my new role. I flew from Belgium all the way to Sydney, Australia for a week of onboarding at Umano and to reconnect with my old friends at Atlassian. Although I had 3 flights in every direction (BRU - > AMS, AMS -> SIN, SIN…

Thanks for sharing @Kerli Loopman , That sounds like fun to watch, dangerous to try :) The picture reminds me of Fierljeppen a sport in the north of The Netherlands.

Did you chuck the pumpkins at a specific target? Also: A trebuchet? How far did those pumpkins fly?

@resthotelformation , Welcome to the Atlassian Community. All questions related to payments should be directed to the Trello Support team (see the form at the bottom of this page: https://trello.com/en/contact#/) Cheers, Peter

Thanks for sharing @Summer Hogan , I love the many food related days 😁 and also the Bring your Teddy bear to work Day sounds awesome 🐻

Those are some impressive moustaches @Dániel Ballabás - catworkx , thanks for sharing!

I learned about Guy Fawkes because I watched V for Vendetta. He's certainly an interesting character, and the way it's being celebrated sounds cool but dangerous :) Thanks for sharing @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- !

I've we're all still here in 8 years, and my boys are selected I'll invite everyone to come to Dendermonde and enjoy the show (preferably sporting Atlassian swag of course 😁 )

My first flight was from Belgium to Tunisia on holidays with my parents and my little brother. I was around 4 years old at the time. My second flight (and the first one I can remember) was when I was 10 years old (we flew to Florida for 7 days of fun :) ). Since then I've flown so much that I know the shortest routes in…
