Hi, you can alter the session timeout in the web.xml of your installation (10 minutes sound odd to me): <YOUR DEPLOYMENT>/WEB-INF/web.xml. https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Changing+the+default+session+timeout Other than that you might have run into a problem similar to this one:…

You have to set the property in the text-based view though. In the designer you'll have problems setting that property (at least in older JIRA versions)
-
You can limit them in your workflow. For example in your resolve issue transition: Add the following property: jira.field.resolution.include 1,2,3,4 (IDs that you want to include)
-
Hi, this won't be possible out of the box. You'd have to either create your own add-on (which you could do for JIRA cloud) or if you were using JIRA behind the firewall use this add-on: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.atlassian.cps.activityIcon Cheers

You select your preferred language once

Basically the script runner plugin can execute scripts that are capable of copying field contents. If you don't see any custom scripted fields in your config it must be sth. else that's copying the values. The built-in scripts you are referring to is to make your life as an admin easier, it's not responsibe for the…

Check the Script runner administration panel in your JIRA admin section, or type gg "Calculated fields". There you have a list of all the calculated fields Cheers
-
Maybe it's a calculated field? Are you using the script runner plugin? Other than that it might be some Javascript in your field description, or a custom plugin... If you look at the "billed" field, what type is it? Could you also check whether you have the behaviours plugin installed?
-
Strange, if the field is marked as required, none should not be a valid option...

Hey Rumi, check the docs: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Customising+Email+Content Deploying Velocity templates without restarting JIRA In a development instance, you can play with picking up velocity file changes without a restart. From <jira-install>/atlassian-jira/WEB-INF/classes/velocity.properties: *…

Hey, have you tried the JIRA Enhancer Plugin? I haven't tested it myself but it seems that the field that you want to query against is being included in the plugin: https://studio.plugins.atlassian.com/wiki/display/JEP/JIRA+Enhancer+Plugin https://plugins.atlassian.com/plugins/plugin.jep Cheers Christian

As far as I know this is the desired behaviour... I'd like to have that feature aswell though. correct me if I'm wrong

Would be nice, I totally agree with you. Maintaining field configurations is quite a task, especially when you're dealing with far more than 100 custom fields ;-)

You're right, a custom field shows in all field configurations. It's like a view on all your fields + extra options so you can configure the fields according to your project specific needs. To my understanding the only other way of limiting the custom field to certain projects is to not use the global context but then I…

I think you have to modify a velocity file: INF\classes\templates\email\html\includes\footer.vm Cheers Christian
-
Oh I see, I don't know if that's possible, not with GH as it is. I was referring to the "...way of showing them always at the top of the Backlog" part of your question :-)

How about creating a swimlane based on "urgency"
-
Have you tried to Google that ? https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CONF55/Deleting+an+Attachment Cheers

AFAIK you can't order by project category. Instead of a field which is part of an issue (that can be displayed in a column) the project category is some kind of metadata. Correct me if I'm wrong... Cheers
-
I assume you're talking about a custom field... It doesn't have to be part of your JQL query. You have to make sure, however, that the field is "available" to the query via it's field context. Cheers P.S. Is it a new field or a special custom field? Maybe you should try re-indexing...

Mmmh, not sure. Different events use different velocity files for emails. They can be configured in a system file but I doubt, that you will be able to do that if you'Re using JIRA in the cloud... You might want to vote for that feature: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-7266 Cheers
-
WHAT is disappering? I mean, a lot of information shown in GH is based on filters that you create...Maybe you have a filter that's filtering on the wrong project name... Cheers Christian
-
Couldn't you create one daily event per hour? 1PM, 2PM, 3PM etc,?
-
Maybe your JAVA version is not up to date? Just guessing here...
-
You have to be system administrator to edit e-mail settings... Do you have those rights?
-
Hey, thanks for the advice. I've never created a listener. Are those the right places I have to start from? Or can I modify an existing listener? https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Listeners…
-
I'll try the script tomorrow. Thanks! Just one more thing:-) The Email TO-address in this example is static. I'd need to dynamically populate that with the newly selected supervisor's mail address. Any ideas?
-
Well, I guess then you cant use the simplified workflow as it is managed by Greenhopper and role-based transitioninig is not part of the open approach of the simplifid workflow. Switch to a custom workflow and you can add conditions to your transitions... Cheers Christian

Hi Tamara, I don't know which plugin you're referring to but in most cases plugins are licensed just like core Atlassian applications. If you want support or upgrades after the first year you have to renew your license at 50% of the original license costs. Cheers
