I've also tested the other script you mentioned in your post var value = "test1"; AJS.$("#assignee-field").val(value); AJS.$("#assignee").find(":selected").data("descriptor").model()[0].value = value; When I change the first line to "value = JIRA.Meta.getLoggedInUser();" I get an output like this: [object Object]

Hey Mizan, won't work. I also tried a code you posted in: https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/59501/change-assignee-via-javascript import com.onresolve.jira.groovy.user.FieldBehaviours import com.onresolve.jira.groovy.user.FormField FormField assignee = getFieldById(fieldChanged) Object componentFormValue =…

Hey Grigory, no problem so far. I'm just trying to use your code using Behaviours Plugin. I'm not a Javascript expert so it takes some time for me to figure out what your code is doing and to edit it in order to just setting the assignee to current user. The "assign to me blocking works just fine":-)
-
Hey, that's not what I wanted. I just wanted to deactivate it on the screen. Worked with Grigory's promt... So far I don't get the code you provided working. In the log I just see (<span>"-------------------assignee---"1</span>

Hi Gabriella. JS in field descriptions is not working in current JIRA versions so I would advise against it. Cheers

Check your DB: SELECT * FROM searchrequest s WHERE ID = 10444;
-
Another idea: Are you using components? Maybe you're using components and the default asignee isn't your JIRA Monkey (default: component lead instead of project lead). Cheers

Maybe the JIRA admin helper plugin could help you. I'm at loss here ... https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.atlassian.jira.plugins.jira-admin-helper-plugin

The "roles" tab IS the "people" tab in 5.1. Your configuration looks right to me. Are you sure the permission scheme from your screenshot has been assigned to the project you are talking about?
-
Neat trick...

Hey, you can't really map the fields to projects since they are used on screens, which are used in workflows etc. that can be mapped to projects. Anyway, this statement will show you an overview aout your fields being used on screens: SELECT F.ID, F.NAME as "screen name",F.DESCRIPTION as description, T.NAME as Tab,…

Actually I'd be using the approach you suggested yourself. Features, as you say, seem like epics to me and as Greenhopper doesn't support the independant planning on subtask level, that's the way you should go. Cheers Christian

You could also take a look at the behaviours plugin. https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.onresolve.jira.plugin.Behaviours The second example Jamie is hiving might suit your needs:…

Seems like many of the errors are pointing to a filter that currently returns no issues. Can that be it?

You should take a look at the permission scheme of the project. For example, if the "browse project" permission has been granted to the "jira-user" group everone in that group can see the issues of that project. You should assign that permission to the role "users". Take a look at the documentation:…

True. Cheers Christian

Hi Sunny, the Excel macro always shows the tab that was previously open while saving the document. That's why Josh's solution would work. I just don't understand why you would need some VB macros. If you linked the desired cell with cells in the "export tab" you would only need to apply changes to the original tab, open…

Hey, as far as I can see a support ticket has been created. (answer has been marked correct). I'm afraid there is nothing I can do here.
-
Hey, do you have a second JIRA instance configured as a trusted application? That way you can use system gadgets from your other instance resulting in gadgets showing up twice... Cheers Christian
-
What table? I wouldn't recommend updating databases while the application is running...
-
Hey, you should contact your Atlassian support. This is a customer forum and I doubt that any of those customers know which instance you're talking about ;-) Cheers Christian

Hi Borek, I'd suggest you create everything according to your needs. It might take you a bit when you do it for the first time bet it's worth it. A clean issue type associated with a simple workflow and predefined statuses, solutions and screens are the way you should go. I've found a nice visual process that helped me in…

Hey Rumi, I'd also check this plugin: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.innovalog.jmwe.jira-misc-workflow-extensions It used to be free (up to JIRA 5.2 I think) but I think it's really helpful. Cheers

Hey @shruti Why exactly did you vote down my answer?
-
Hey, you first have to create the desired issue type https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Defining+%27Issue+Type%27+Field+Values create the fields that you need https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Adding+a+Custom+Field and associate them with a screen.…

Hey, everything you should know about workflows is in the official documentation... https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Configuring+Workflow A more detailed example is given here: http://business-processes.com/archives/automated-purchase-workflow Cheers Christian
-
Hey, it's an option in your general configuration. I'm not sure if you are able to update it since you're on a hosted JIRA instance. If you aren't allowed to make changes contact the support team which is in charge of your instance:-) https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA044/Configuring+JIRA+Options Contact…

In recent JIRA versions you should be able to filter by "text" values of custom fields. If the field doesn't show up in you columns you might want to check the field's context...

Same question here: https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/26517/can-i-change-on-on-demand-site-landing-page-to-a-wiki Cheers, Christian

One dirty workaround: Create a project. Create a new URL field, put that field on a screen / maybe define labels. Create some issue and just populate the summary + the URL field. Add a filter gadget to your dashboards and show only the URL field. Using labels you could use different filters for different URLs. I know it's…
