If you go to the history of the page you should be able to roll it back to a point prior to the conversion.

When you create a space you can specify who can see it. Spaces permissions are controlled by that page in each space. You can set all new spaces to have default permissions, but those can be changed/removed. The only way to set it up such that everyone can see every space would be make everyone a system administrator ...…

@Julia I guess the first question would be how familiar are you wil programming and using API's in general. Especially REST API's. If you are familiar with the process I would recommend getting the REST API Browser app from the marketplace. It is created by Atlassian and allows you to see the available rest API's. The one…

It depends. If you have the free version of Confluence Cloud then permissions are not a features enabled in that tier. If you have a paid account then a space administrator can set permissions for a space. They can assign permissions to groups, or individual users. You can get to space permissions by going to "Space…
-
Each space has a permissions point called "Export". If you have that permission then you have the ability to export the whole space. Go to "Space Settings -> Content Tools -> Export".

I remember that we had that issue as well at one time. We also added this java runtime parameter which is not in the article above. -Dsynchrony.proxy.enabled=true Make sure this one is enabled too ... which is in the articel above. -Dorg.apache.tomcat.websocket.DISABLE_BUILTIN_EXTENSIONS=true
-
Have you followed the steps on this article? It explains how to setup IIS as a reverse proxy for Confluence. https://confluence.atlassian.com/kb/proxying-atlassian-server-applications-with-microsoft-internet-information-services-iis-833931378.html

What do you mean by this?

This is a pretty simple way to do it by wrapping the search results macro. Macro Name: custom_search Macro Title: Custom Search Macro Body Processing: No macro body Template: ## Developed by: Davin Studer## Date created: 06/26/2020## @noparams<form class="aui" method="GET" action=""> <input id="q" name="q" type="text"…
-
Looks like you may need to contact Atlassian support to get the legacy editor template enabled if you do not have it.
-
Yeah, it looks like the workaround is to have a blank paragraph inside the body of the macro ... not very elegant. I even tried doing this but no dice. #set($body = $!body + "<p> </p>") Looks like the header is stripped out of $body before even getting to the user macro. I verified that with the code block below which…

If the "created by" and "last modified by" users are different you should see both. See the below screenshots. Creator and Modifier same Creator and Modifier different

The server and data center versions do not use the new fabric editor. As for Cloud you would have to talk with Atlassian support to see if that is even possible. I'm not sure that it is.

@Pedro Hernandez Welcome to the community. Don't be afraid to ask questions. It can be intimidating at first but there are a lot of nice a very helpful people here who are always trying to provide helpful answers.
-
Unfortunatley, it's a pretty old issue ... which does not bode well for getting fixed. But make sure to add your vote. If it gets enough votes hopefully it can get addressed.
-
Is this Confluence Cloud only? I have so many users that don't understand what restrictions do. They think that it will add permissions. So, having this on server too would be super handy.
-
There is a bug ticket for this in JAC. It is CONFSERVER-24634. Feel free to vote on it and watch the ticket and hopefully it can get fixed.
-
@Nic Brough -Adaptavist- I wholeheartedly agree. My one exception is I do enjoy watching some of the Olympics when they come around.
-
Cake and pie! Can't stand em.
-
I totally agree @Jodi LeBlanc. I'll go slightly farther though ... I don't like any alcohol. Just not my thing.
-
@Anderson Hsu I'm personally an MSSQL guy, so I don't do PostgreSQL much. However, I've edited the above query and tried to replace it with PostgreSQL syntax. Let me know if that works for you.

Well, I think to be fair to Atlassian everything COULD be shipped with Confluence. I think it really is more a question of if it SHOULD be shipped with Confluence. It is certainly not a bug as it is not an existing feature that is operating in an incorrect way. So,it would fall under a feature request. This get prioritized…

That page makes no mention of an "End User Documentation" templates. In fact the word template isn't even used on the page. That section of the page is simply talking about the types of documentation that people often used Confluence for. As for templates, if you are a space administrator you are able to create templates…

If you have the LDAP directory bound to Confluence already then you would make your changes in LDAP, not Confluence. You should look into the System.DirectoryServices namespace.
-
I think it is a bit of six of one half a dozen of the other. For instance if you assume wildcards all the time then anytime you want exact terms you would have to quote every term like such. "foo" "bar" "baz" Confluence uses a product called Lucene for the search aspect and that is how Lucene works. The search engine isn't…
-
You can search for parts of words using the ? and * search wildcards.

@Hunter Kiely, welcome to the Atlassian Community. This is a great place to ask questions to help learn more about Atlassian products. Don't be afraid to ask questions. The only bad question is the un-asked one. We are all here to help. : )
-
@M.Fad Welcome to the Atlassian Community. Don't feel bad to ask questions if you have them. No question is a bad question to ask. Also, if you know an answer feel free to jump in and suggest a solution. It can feel intimidating at first, but we've all been there. The more the merrier.
-
Have you tried quoting your search? That is an exact term search meaning it will only pull back pages where the terms in the quotes are exactly matched in the page. If you leave the quotes off Confluence is trowing out the "-" and seeing two search terms sslvpn and lax10 and it is doing an implied OR between the term. The…

@Vivek Singh You should only get emails for pages or spaces that you are watching. If you are getting emails for spaces you do not want to watch you should take a look at your watches page. Go to your profile picture and select "Watches". Unwatch anything you do not want to get emails for.
