I wrote a script like this for Jira that will compare attachments on ticket A to the attachment being uploaded on ticket B. If it matches any on ticket A the attachment will be deleted. Some of my code could probably be recycled into what you are trying to do. Alas, I do not have ScriptRunner for Confluence. Below are the…

You could setup an email rule in your email client of choice to forward the email to a group when it comes to you.

Well, this is how I do it. I watched this page. Works pretty well for me. Confluence Release Notes

Yes, you can enter tables into Jira. If the field is of the Rich Text type then you should have table options in the bar. See the below screenshot.

I updated the macro last month to add an option to specify the parent page. I updated the code above just now. Probably the reason you are not seeing anything is because it is currently pulling the children of the current page. If your page has no children you won't see anything. Anyway, with the new code above you can…

That is what I did and that is not the issue. The issue is that when you do a form in dialog mode it creates the form on the page in a hidden fashion and when you click the button to open the dialog the form's DOM (document object model) is cloned which ends up duplicating the id's on the page. This is an HTML no no. There…

After messing around a bit I'm pretty sure this is indeed the issue. I manually changed the ID's in the page source after the page has loaded and the dialog opened and I was able to get the tabs to work.
-
I think it has to do with the fact that when you use a ConfiForm via dialog mode the html elements that make up the form are duplicated in the page source. Thus there are two sets of tabs on the page with the same ID, which I think is confusing the AUI tabs.
-
I'm seeing the same behavior. I've tried a number of things and cannot seem to get it to work either. I even tried re-initializing the tabs after the dialog has opened using AJS.tabs.setup(); and that didn't work either. It probably has something to do with how they are dynamically adding the form when the dialog opens. I…

* I work for the Vancouver Clinic * We've been using Confluence for about 7 years and Jira for about 2 years. * Vancouver (not BC), Washington (not DC) * So far as I can tell I'm the only Davin Studer in the world. I could be wrong, but Google and Facebook back me up.

My server went down again. It's back up. I've got a monitor on it now, so I should be alerted if it goes down again. Grr!
-
It should still work. It just may not show up confluence admin, but if you manually download the app you should be able to manually install it. If you have a test system I would try it there first. On this page you can download the jar file. Then on http(s)://{your-server}/plugins/servlet/upm you can use the "Upload…

I typically have to teach people about it. So, it's probably more of power user feature that I suggest to people when they ask about how they can centrally manage an Excel document.

Since you installed on Windows the file that has the DB connection is here ... C:\Program Files\Atlassian\Application Data\Confluence\confluence.cfg.xml The relevant parts that need to be edited are shown in the below screencap.

Would something like Space Fields for Confluence meet what you are trying to accomplish?
-
We use Confluence with Word and Excel docs in a number of places. As much as possible I encourage my users to create native Confluence pages ... especially in place of attaching Word documents. However, there are many instances where my users want a single sourced/versioned Excel document and to achieve that I typically…

Well, Confluence doesn't have custom fields. So, I'm not quite sure what it is you are trying to accomplish.

Yay for 2019! Here's to another great year.

Oh wow!! Hey thanks and congrats to everyone on the list. Y'all are awesome and make this community the great thing that it is.

FYI, it looks like this is the ticket to comment in. CONFCLOUD-59930

@Thomas Schlegel Just to echo everyone else here thanks for the time you put into this advent calendar. We are blessed to have you as a part of this community.

I agree that div, span, and style should not be deprecated. At the bottom of the article they encourage you to create a ticket telling them why they should keep the macro. I would encourage you to do that as well.

I liked Warbreaker. It would be cool to see another in that series. Did you notice that Nightblood (the sword) and Vasher both show up in The Stormlight Archive?
-
If you are up for starting an EPIC fantasy series I would recommend The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. The depth of that series and character development is immense. Over the course of the 14 (yes fourteen) books Jordan morphs and changes the characters so subtly that you don't really notice much, but when you go…

Sanderson is awesome! My favorite author right now.
-
I give two thumbs up to the Brandon Sanderson books you mentioned. Right now he is by far my favorite author. Anything he writes is gold to me.
-
As the user macro is currently written it only works with the attachments macro. That was what the original poster of the question was asking for.
-
I designed that user macro specifically to work with the attachments macro. It would have to be adapted to work with other macros.
-
@Mike Bowen You could use the style macro along with the div macro in Confluence Cloud to style your tables. There are no user macros, but all Alana is doing is putting CSS styles on the page behind the scenes which you could do with the style macro. See the below screenshot. It is in essence just manually doing what…

So, maybe it's the nerd in me, but if I could REALLY go anywhere I want I would be on the first commercial flight to the Moon or Mars. Seeing as that is probably not a reality I would have to settle for Ireland. I love Irish music, culture, accent, etc.
