Unfortunately, I have found that if you are not a development shop that often your projects are so vastly different that reusing workflows/and schemes becomes unrealistic. In a development shop typically each project will represent a product and you would want to have a consistent development workflow no matter which…

When creating workflows don't forget about resolution. It's easy to skip over setting the resolution on an issue ... especially if you don't make the user set it when the issue moves into a closed state. Make sure to set up a post function to set the Resolution. Also remember to set up a post function to clear the…

Do you happen to know what OS and database platform you are running on?

You can change the status of an issue even if there is not a defined transition for it. It involves exporting the issue as a CSV, editing the CSV, and then re-importing it. See the steps below. * Run a JQL search like this "key=MYPROJECT-12345" * Export the issue as CSV (all fields). * Edit the CSV and change the Status…

They sure are. In the attachments section of each page next to each attachment is a sideways chevron. Click the chevron to expand the attachment versions. There is no easy rollback option, but you can download a previous version and re-upload it to rollback.
-
Lovely! Glad it helped!

I have looked at the library myself and it has some good script examples. It would be nice to see it expanded though. Sometimes I find what I want and other times when I search I can't find anything that matches what I'm trying to do. If you're not already doing this maybe it would be good to look at the searches people…

Looks like it is for Cloud though. However, there is a style macro in Cloud. You could override it on a page by page basis. Or maybe put the styles into a page and then include that page onto pages where you have dates. That way you don't have to type out the styles each time.

Have you updated the app recently? You could roll back to a previous version. The way you would do that would be to go to the Easy Dropdown Menu's version page in the Marketplace and download a previous version. Then in Confluence uninstall the current version of the app and do a manual install on the https://{your…

It is possible, but keep in mind this will ONLY work on the same network as the network share. Also, by default it will ONLY work with Internet Explorer. There are extensions for Chrome and Firefox that will allow this, but IE is the only browser that enables the file protocol by default. The format for a file link is this…

Is this more of an issue with Safari rather then Macs? If you were to load this in another browser, such as Chrome or Firefox, on you Mac do you see the same issues?

I would second ConfiForms for this. Up until recently ConfiForms was server only, but they just released a Cloud version of their app.
-
Here's what I would suggest to start with. * Take a look at the properties of the macro and verify that the "Page title" field is empty. If the page field is empty it looks to the page the macro is on for its attachments. * Look at the "Attachment labels" field and make sure that is empty. If there is a value there then…

We use both Confluence and Jira below are my thoughts. Confluence By far the most useful app that we have purchased for Confluence is ConfiForms. There are SO MANY cool uses for this app that I could go on for a while, but the typical ones we use it for is creating email forms in Confluence and app-like pages where we can…

Um ... because I LOVE ice cream.

Totally!

@Stan Ry Sorry, my "absolutely" above was referring to your "Thank you ...". Like Alex said JavaScript is not required at all. You can do A LOT with just the built-in macros.
-
Absolutely. Most of the use cases that you could think of just require using the built-in macros. It's only if you want to extend it that there are hook points for adding in custom JavaScript.
-
Another option to look into that we use is ConfiForms. By far this is the most versatile and useful app that we have purchased for Confluence. You can use it to create forms that can do all sorts of things such as send emails, create Jira tickets, create/update/delete pages, store structured data, post to web services,…

Yep, it should work with Navitabs as well.

Thanks sir.

So, the JavaScript code in the article that Alex provided will not work for the Keysight tabs, which are really just based on the Atlassian AUI tabs. I have modified his JavaScript function to work with the Keysight app. The below script just modifies the tab ids within the popped up form, re-points the tab anchors, and…

Here is an example of how you would query results between two dates. https://{yourserver}/rest/api/content/search?cql=created%3E=2018-01-01%20and%20created%3C2019-01-01

Are you asking if there is a way to automatically add a macro to a page after a Jira ticket is linked to it?
-
It is still available, but currently it is not available with the Word/Excel/PowerPoint macros. Go to the page menu (the ellipsis menu in the top right of the screen) and click on Attachments. On the attachments page you should see "Edit file" links on the right side of the attachments table.
-
That's not possible, but you should be able to calculate the difference between the entries if you sort them by creation date and loop through the JSON.
-
Actually, I just re-read the second issue (JRASERVER-6218) and it looks like they had to back out regex searching in Jira 8.0. :( But if you happen to have ScriptRunner you could still do it that way.
-
I have found that underscores and dashes tend to mess up searches. In fact there is a bug ticket for this JRASERVER-31882. If you have ScriptRunner you can do this ... issueFunction in issueFieldMatch("", "summary", ".*NO_SOD.*") Also according to JRASERVER-6218 Jira 8.0 will support regex searches natively so you should…
