@Glynis Bost A better way to do the search instead of labeling would be to use the "Page Tree Search" macro. Place one of those on each parent page in your space. That search box will only search pages that are descendants (children, grand-children, etc.) of the page the macro is on. This is much more efficient than doing…

You can use "*" as a wildcard to do a partial word search. One thing to note the wildcard will not work at the front of the word, only the middle or end. Take a look at the below link for more details on the search capabilities. https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/confluence-search-syntax-158720.html

Unfortunately, the TOC macro does not work in edit mode.

With Confluence Server you have access to talking to Confluence over WebDAV. If you are using Windows this means that you can map your Confluence site to a drive letter and work with it as if it were a file system. * Go to "This PC" and click Map network drive * In the folder field put in this…

There is not an option for that, but as a workaround you could set up an email rule to delete the other emails and keep the comment emails.
-
You can use the attachments macro on a page to show all the attachments to that page. Below is how the page looks in edit mode. And this is what you see when you view the page.

There are a couple of ways to tackle this. If the page is REALLY long you might want to consider splitting it into multiple pages anyway. People don't tend to read really long pages very well. So, splitting it would be one option. Another option would be to use ctrl+f (find/search) to find the spot in the document that you…

@James_Blasius Have you taken a look at the code macro in Confluence? It will format your code as a mono-spaced font. You can even have it do line numbers and syntax highlighting. See the below screenshot as an example. This is what it looks like in edit mode. And this is what it looks like when viewed.

I don't usually eat breakfast unless you consider coffee breakfast.

Amen to that one! I've also mentioned that on a couple calls with Atlassian.

Hey @Vero Rivas welcome to the Atlassian Community. It sounds like you have some good experience with Atlassian products. Do be shy to answer a question or two if you know the answer and feel free to ask for any help that you may need.

Probably the most useful and versatile app we have purchased for Confluence is Confiforms. There are so many possibilities that come with Confiforms. We have used it for creating email forms, company surveys, internal mini-apps in Confluence, creating Jira tickets, storing structured data in Confluence, using it for a more…

User Macros are created in Confluence Admin -> User Macros. Once you create the user macro you can add it to a page just like you would a regular macro.
-
You will need to check this in the form definition.

This could be done with a user macro that wraps the built-in task report macro and dynamically supplies the page property. See the below user macro. Macro Name: task_report_current_page Macro Title: Task Report Current Page Macro Body Processing: No macro body Template: ## Developed by: Davin Studer## Date created:…

Just build your form like normal. Have the dropdown have all the entries. Then put this user macro on the page ... anywhere on the page. Set up the properties in the user macro and when you visit the form it will check the current entries in the form and if you have reached the max number of entries for any dropdown option…

Well, first I would not say it is a bug. There are certain prerequisites that need to be in place in order to enable encryption. You can't just turn it on because in a lot (maybe even most) situations it would fail. With regards to accessing Confluence over SSL you need to have an SSL cert from a Certificate Authority. You…
-
Again that doesn't help. How do you know it is not being encrypted? Are you doing packet captures on the back end to see if it is encrypted? Is the page not loading via HTTPS, is you server not connecting to LDAP over a secure channel, or are you seeing plain text in the password field when you type in the password? Please…
-
When you say not encrypted are you saying the web page is not encrypted or the password credentials sent to your LDAP server are not sent over LDAPS (Secure LDAP)?

Pages that you do not have access to via lacking permissions or restrictions will not show up in search/macro results. My two cents would be to use a different space. I have found that managing page restrictions within a space can get hairy ... especially when restrictions get put on pages that are multiple levels deep in…

@Audra_Crowell Are you referring to to the Calendar power up? If so the power up will plot to the calendar based on the due date you put on your cards. In the screen shots below you can see that I created a card an gave it a due date. In calendar mode the card is displayed on the calendar based on the due date.
-
Yes. You can just go to the space permissions and remove everyone but yourself. It will then be private to you ... that includes search results too. Keep in mind that a System Administrator can always grant themselves permission, but aside from that it would be private.
-
@David_Bakkers Glad you find it useful.
-
@Mario Polito Yeah, I ran into that issue with another user macro I created. For some reason having a style block in the page causes the header to not float. I've edited the above code to remove the style element. This is also true if for instance you use the html macro and put a style block in it. If there is a style…

Sure. Unfortunately, I don't think I can post the whole page source here due to the character limit. If you have LinkedIn feel free to send me a connect invite and maybe we can swap email addresses and I can send you the page source. https://www.linkedin.com/in/davinstuder/

This is basically what we have done. We create two pages from the intake form. One page that users can edit and put in user generated content and another page that is a child page that has the ConfiForms data. We also do a page include on the parent page to include the content from the child page so it can all be viewed on…

Agreed. This year certainly is not a year to base anything off of. But overall I think Atlassian was able to get a lot done for Summit this year in not that much time.

I sure hope not. Server fills a need for businesses that are not Microsoft size, but also not startup size. As a medium size business it is cheaper for us to manage our own servers and not pay per user per month. We would probably abandon the product if we were forced into a licensed user model. I have never seen a…
