No, not the bundled-plugins folder ... just the stuff in the index folder. It's ok if you don't have the plugin folder. Not everyone has it. The below link talks about rebuilding the content index. Point seven under the For Confluence 5.6 and Above heading tells you what the edge, plugin, and questions-edge folders are for…

You can get a table like that with the CQL search app. It's a free cloud app. A search like "type=page" should get you all your pages. Then you could copy and paste the results it creates into an Excel spreadsheet. CQL Search

I would totally be up for an event. I wonder though if mid-May may be too close. You may not get much of a turn out due to people's schedules. Unfortunately, I don't have a great idea for where. I could probably get space at my organization to host it, but I'm in Vancouver and that would probably limit turnout as well.

It is known that exporting large pages to PDF can tax the server while the export is happening. That is one reason there is a specific space permission for this so that you can control who can and cannot do exports.
-
What method did you use to copy the data from prod to test?
-
You could possibly write something with ScriptRunner to listen for the AttachmentCreateEvent and have the user fix the name after it is created.

When you delete a page the lastmodifier is not set. It is only set when you change the page content. In fact a new version is not created when the page is deleted. The most recent version is simply set to "deleted" for the CONTENT_STATUS. So, your audit log would be the correct place to go for deletions.
-
It depends on what you want to do. If you want to permanently merge the documents into one page you could simply open the pages and cut and paste the content into one page. After you have done that you could delete the original pages. Another option would be to use the page include macro to include all the page into one…

There are a couple apps in the marketplace that provide this functionality. * Security and Encryption for Confluence * Secure Content
-
Also, as much as possible avoid giving permissions to people. Instead give permissions to groups and then add people to the groups. You will save yourself so many troubles doing it this way.
-
You can place different permissions based on space. So, if you have some parts that everyone should have access to you can give that space anonymous access. Fo content that you don't want to be public you would put that in its own space, disable anonymous access, and apply appropriate viewing/editing permissions.

Unless every machine in your organization maps a U drive to the same server share it won't work ... it would work for you, but no one else.
-
If your ERP system is web based then sure. You would just use the URL in your browser's location bar for the link url.
-
You may have a folders called edge and plugin in the index folder from you original system. Keep those and all the files in them. Everything else from the original index folder can go. It will be recreated when you re-generate the index (step 23).

Space tools -> Content Tools -> Trash (tab)
-
In some versions of Confluence the space trash has caused this. If there was a trashed page with the same name you would get that error. The fix was to purge the page from the trash. If that is not the case check to make sure you don't have a page with the same name that is sitting outside you navigation hierarchy. To…

There is nothing like that built in. If you organization has ConfiForms you might be able to set up a forms to edit that field. If you don't have that and are familiar with programming it could be done with the REST API.

Ah, I see. You want the upload portion of the attachments macro to respect the properties that are being used to display the attachments. Unfortunately, it doesn't do that. I wish it would respect things like labels and auto tag the attachments with the appropriate label when the attachment is uploaded via the attachments…

Are you a Confluence Administrator or a System Administrator? There is a difference between the two with Confluence Server. The below link describes the differences. Anyone in the confluence-administrators groups should be able to see all spaces and pages regardless of permissions or restrictions.…

If you have an applink setup between Confluence and Jira you can use the Jira macro and put the issue key into the macro.

This is the process we use to refresh our non-production confluence. It would be the same process. You are essentially copying on Confluence to another. * Make sure World Wide Web Publishing Service is stopped. * Uninstall the Confluence from the non-prod server. * Remove Atlassian folder. C:\Program Files\Atlassian *…

Yes, you can. What exactly are you trying to achieve?

You can mount you Confluence instance as a file system with WebDAV and use that easily upload the documents. https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/configuring-a-webdav-client-for-confluence-148044.html

There are many things that the new editor doesn't do quite yet. Below is a link to their roadmap of work for the new editor. https://confluence.atlassian.com/confcloud/confluence-cloud-editor-roadmap-967314556.html

Have you tried right clicking on the image(s) and selecting inspect/view source/whatever-your-browser-calls-it? You should be able to see the html behind the image and specifically get the url for the image. Try pasting the url into the location bar of a separate browser window. See if it comes up. If it doesn't then the…

"But we need to restrict it within the company..." What exactly do you mean by that? Are you saying that no one on you companies network should be able to get to it?

In the old editor you can create stub links that when clicked will create a new page. To create the stub link you type the open square bracket, then the title the page the stub link will link to, and then the closing square bracket. So, it would be something like this ... [My new page that does not yet exist] This only…

Hey, I know that guy. : )

I have two ... * I have the ability to not be seen in plain sight. I don't know maybe I'm just too quiet or something, but there have been an inordinate amount of times where I am right next to someone and they ask the question "Where's Davin?" Also, probably about half the time the sliding door at the grocery store…

Is your Confluence server behind a reverse proxy at all?
