My guess is that JIRA doesn't "know" what's being linked to from Confluence as all that data is stored within Confluence pages. You can search for usage of the JIRA issue macros in Confluence using this though: http://ffeathers.wordpress.com/2012/09/04/how-to-search-for-macros-and-macro-parameters-in-confluence-4/

The UWC doesn't currently work on Confluence 4. Use it with Confluence 3.5 and then upgrade to Confluence 4.0
-
Consider the following : * Upgrading and Migrating an Existing Confluence Macro to 4.0 * Macro Migration Guide for Confluence 4.0
-
Are you sure that you're using the UWC? It sounds like you've got your wires crossed.
-
Please add an example of what you're converting from and to.

You'll need to update your user macros. For strings, replace #if ($paramfoo) with #if ($paramfoo).length() > 0 For booleans, #if ($paramistrue) with #if ($paramistrue == true) This is because of the security update to xwork. More details here: http://davidsimpson.me/2014/05/22/update-user-macros-confluence-5-5-1-xwork-1-17/

Share a screenshot - that may help.

If you add a very long comment, does it just repeat the first line of the comment? If so, it could be that the JavaScript expander function (show/hide) isn't working correctly. Does it only happen for your comments? Or other people's too? What theme are you using? Is it the same throughout the Confluence site?
-
Is that the full stack trace? Or are you missing soem of it?

The storage format is XML based with a custom namespace. Really, you need to * get a hold of the schema * wrap the content in a new root element with the namespacing specified * parse in tidy with namespacing enabled

If you're using the embedded HSQL database, take a look at this post: http://davidsimpson.me/2013/12/11/how-to-access-the-hsql-database-manager-during-atlassian-confluence-add-on-development/ Make sure you shutdown Confluence before you start tinkering. Once you're up and running, you should be able to reset the admin…

1500 rows? Really? To what end? I'd invert the question and ask realistically, whether my users can manage a table with that many rows in it on a webpage. Do your users a favour, if there is a way of breaking the table down into smaller usable chunks, do it. Just think what the rendering time of such a table would be on a…

You could try this: Manually Clone Or Rename A Space (here's the Confluence v3.0 version of the documentation)
-
Give him permissions on both spaces and then get him to move the home page from the old space to the new space: http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Moving+a+Page All pages under the home page will move too.

Attachments don't have labels though there is an open request (CONF-3963) for this. They can be made searchable though. There are extractors for Office and OpenOffice files, though these aren't currently Confluence 4.0 compatible (according to Plugin Exchange) You can create new extractors for other file types using the…

It's likely quicker and easier to just keep and original and Photoshop the highlight areas as appropriate.

This is now bundled the Confluence Dashboard Macros plugin in confluence-dashboard-macros.3.x.jar. Both functions are now in the JAR in a file named dashboard-macros.js * gotoUrl is still there, though slightly reworked * toggleStar has been replaced by toggleFavouriteSpace refactored to say what it does :)
-
First, you'll need to install the Table Plugin, then you'll be able to wrap your tables in the {table-plus} macro e.g. produces:
-
You cannot change the spaceKey once it has been created, but there is a workaround... * Use the Copy Space plugin to create a duplicate space with the correct spaceKey defined. * Delete the original space

Looking in ConfluenceActionSupport.properties (for Confluence 4.0) I've found this: minor.edit=<b>Minor change?</b> (no notifications will be sent) Edit that line to what you require and then bundle up your language pack as previously described.
-
The best way is to create your own partial language pack -- details here.

Try dropping your plugins into safe mode to see whether the menus reappear, then start enabling plugins one by one to find a culprit. Or perhaps you've disabled JavaScript in your browser ;)

AppFusions' Google Analytics for Confluence plugin now tracks attachment downloads n a similar way to Andrew's approach. It also assigns the download against the space. The Mixpanel Engagement Analytics plugin also fully tracks all Confluence events including attachment create, update, view/download and delete events. This…

If you're using the Documentation theme and having problems with the footer, why not create a user macro then embed that into the footer. e.g. this user macro placed in the footer will manage to cause absolute annoyance: <script> alert(' +++++ $space.key $space.name +++++ ');</script> The javascript runs though, so it's a…

@John Shaw: If it works, mark it as correct ;)

Hi John In Confluence Admin | Look & Feel | Custom HTML | At the END of the HEAD, paste: var hiddenUser = 'david'; // Change this as required AJS.toInit(function ($) { var hideUpdates = function () { AJS.$('#recent-updates a[data-username="' + hiddenUser + '"]').parents('.grouping,.stream-item').hide(); }; hideUpdates();…

Google says: Instructions For Standalone Editions On Their Own Domain * Open your Confluence install directory and save the appropriate file as \confluence\robots.txt. For example c:\confluence-2.5.4-std\confluence\robots.txt * Visit your Confluence domain and confirm that the robots.txt is now accessible in the root…
