Normally you would avoid that by using the "Copy Project" script, which will add it to all those contexts. I do have examples of it, but piecing it together is going to be at least as hard as doing it manually. If you can, I'd delete those projects and recreating them by copying an existing one.

Apart from the obvious answers like cost, and the need to have fabulously well-paid DBAs, the main advantage of moving away from oracle is you will not get hit by the many oracle-specific bugs with jira and confluence. Not that oracle is intrinsically worse than other DBMSs per se, the problem is that oracle doesn't get…

Probably easier just to place the text in a <div style="..."> isn't it? Bit easier to understand and make changes.

It's really the same question... you already have your condition, then you use the script to raise a new event, called eg Issue Anonymously Commented, which you catch in your notification scheme.
-
I actually think there is an issue here. There is a built-in script called something like "Fire a comment when..." that you can use to raise an event but only under specific circumstances. If you choose the Issue Comment event, then the event is raised, but the vm mail templates try to get the comment from the event, but…

Recent versions of jira have "global actions", only settable through the graphical workflow designer. Global actions can return to the same state and are available on every state.

Sounds like this bug https://jamieechlin.atlassian.net/browse/JBHV-286?
-
What do you mean by a "ticket screen"? You are not talking about inline editing right?
-
Does it work? That error is probably safe to ignore...
-
Jira/tomcat does not have this built-in... take a look at logrotate, assuming you're running on unix. log4j does handle rotation of files that it manages, eg atlassian-jira.log, but not catalina.out.
-
Sorry, my mistake, it is a bug and Fabio is correct. I have fixed it for the next release, please watch https://jamieechlin.atlassian.net/browse/GRV-431to get notified about when the release happens...
-
You can do that... can you post the stack trace?
-
What jira version is it? What type of event is it? There is/was a bug with the web hook plugin. To test that can you disable the web hooks system plugin and retry the function.

Thanks. I don't really get "JSD", it seems to unwind about 6 years of jira progress. OK, I do get the need for a simplified view, but don't see why it's not possible to switch to the standard view.
-
That seems to be about incoming mail handlers, but thanks.
-
No problem Joe, it really was only a side query, but every time I use s.a.c I wonder the same thing but then can't be bothered enough to find the answer. Thanks again for your great support yesterday.

Script Runner (free) can also help - https://jamieechlin.atlassian.net/wiki/display/GRV/Scripted+JQL+Functions#ScriptedJQLFunctions-hasLinks(linkname)

Not having any problems anymore. Thanks @Jeremy!

Agree with you Nic. We should see the canonical answers rising to the top rather than the same old same old appearing all the time, all answered in a slightly different way. But suddenly it's fast again... someone gave it a kick?
-
;-) Sorry, I never saw your answer Paula, otherwise I'd have at least said "thanks", but yep, I do know how to do this!

I am pretty certain you are right, but I think it's a poor design. Better a new admin learns that schemes can be associated with multiple projects, maybe from their mistake, than by guiding people to this multi scheme path. Merging schemes is hard once they've diverged, and large numbers of certain schemes types are often…
-
It seems like a design misfeature to me. If using the UI, I create a project with the "classic" template, then just change the schemes I need to. I don't think it creates any new schemes with the classic template.

You should search for authentication with kerberos or ntlm - here are some good links to get started: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DEV/Single+Sign-on+Integration+with+JIRA+and+Confluence
-
yes you can... JSD projects are just projects with issues... plus some additional custom fields.
-
Script fields can only be shown on "view" screens. As far as I know the view screen for users of the portal has next to nothing useful on it, so I'd be surprised if it showed the script field. It should be there in the normal view that agents see.
-
You need to add a null check too as you will get null when there are no options set.
-
You want to see if your multiselect contains some option value? It should return a List of Options, so you could use: cfValues["Some Multiselect"]*.value.contains("Some value") Note spread-dot operator to convert list of Options to list of Strings. Note that if you had tagged your question you might get better answers.

Sorry to downvote but you have written javascript, whereas he is using groovy.

You have to import it: import com.atlassian.jira.component.ComponentAccessor
