> from where can I get user name and password at run-time for individual user You can't get that, and you don't need it... you should not try to write an integration by calling a local rest api from the server... just do whatever you need to do using the java api.

The card colours can also come from a JQL query... however if you use the above function I believe you will get a StackOverflow exception, because when we get the issues in sprint then it also tries to calculate the card colours, which invokes the query again, etc etc…
-
That's a more complicated question... see https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Answers-Developer-Questions/How-to-detect-if-an-issue-is-a-clone-in-a-listener-at/qaq-p/562675. If you are on jira 7.5 you could do it on IssueLinkCreated and check if it's the cloners link I guess.

Custom script condition should work, except if you're on an old version of the plugin. If you are, you need to set passesCondition to a boolean. Simple scripted condition is easier.
-
You can make a GET with the full query, eg: <jira>/rest/scriptrunner-jira/latest/jqlfunctions/aggregateResult?jql=project+%3D+SRJIRA+and+issueFunction++in+aggregateExpression(%22originalEstimate.sum()%22) You just need to url-encode the jql query as shown above. You can see this if you view the network tab of your browser…

@Test User KL - great, what's the ticket number?

This ridiculous web site converted > to > etc... which is kind of a fatal flaw for any site where you are expected to put code. I've tried to edit the answer to make it correct, please try now.

Yes, it worked, because I tested it ;-) An upvote would be nice!

Is this for cloud or server? What's your actual confluence version, is it 5.10? Would you use a paid plugin for this?

Here is sample code for a Move Issue event listener: import com.atlassian.jira.component.ComponentAccessor import com.atlassian.jira.event.type.EventDispatchOption import com.atlassian.jira.issue.IssueManager import com.atlassian.jira.issue.UpdateIssueRequest // optionally, check from/to project and conditionally…

Make sure you are using Simple Scripted Condition, or Simple Scripted Validator. A screenshot would help.

First approach with things like this is to make sure you can make the request using curl, or postman or something, then turn it into code. Other thing is you seem to be using two completely different URLs for making requests too, second one looks bogus. Stylistically, it's much clearer and safe to write:…

I think you misunderstand me. The script should work right now. The type checking errors you can just ignore, or cast to the correct type, but that's more complex. https://scriptrunner.adaptavist.com/latest/jira/#_static_type_checking
-
That is safe to ignore - it's just that we can't calculate what type of field is returned by getting the Sprint custom field value. We are working on something better.
-
The sprint name is optional. The board name is not however. At least at one point in time, issues could be on multiple boards, so it may have been added after the start of the sprint on one board but not on another.

Yes, if you use the plugin mentioned above: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.onresolve.jira.groovy.groovyrunner/server/overview Several other plugins have similar functions.
-
The script registry (Builtin Scripts -> Script Registry) will show you all the workflows where you are using scripts. But you don't have to move them, you could just do what the log message suggests, which is to add a new root. You do this by adding a system property to your startup files:…

Also note that https://developer.atlassian.com/market/add-on-licensing-for-developers/timebomb-licenses-for-testing - the first key will work with any marketplace-licensed addon for 3 hours. 3 hours is the same as the host licence, so should not be too painful.
-
You can use pluginArtifacts section to install additional plugins - see https://developer.atlassian.com/docs/developer-tools/working-with-the-sdk/about-amps-build-options/amps-build-configuration-reference The problem you will probably have is tempo is probably not in any public maven repo, so you would need to install it…

I suspect the reason why Rachel found it in the cloud instance is because "Suite Utilities for JIRA" is pre-installed... You can do this with ScriptRunner easily using a Simple Scripted Validator, but if you don't need any conditional or programmatic logic, you may as well use SUJ which is a free plugin AFAIK. You mention…

We're still having the problems where answers are not appearing while they are in the mod queue - it's a terrible experience. Thanos posted twice and neither appeared: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/JIRA-questions/Assignee-field-not-updated-on-form-when-using-Behavior-Script/qaq-p/582908 In desperation he asked someone…

No, I do not remember the time, think it might have been at the weekend. Actually looking at the conversation trail of the person hassling me on linkedin to answer, it says 0550 on Apr 14th, I guess that's EST. > Hopefully, it isn't reproducable or frequent Well, hopefully it is reproducible, then it can be fixed. > Please…

IIRC the time tracking field is actually two fields on screen, so you need: getFieldById("timetracking_originalestimate") It's a "special case".
-
The problem is you're specifying an action, so it's only readonly when the issue is undergoing that action. If you remove the Pending action, I think it will be readonly when it's in that state, and when it's on its way into that state.

Hi Monique, It's great that you get all the feedback here but the advantage of using a bug tracker is everyone can easily see what's been reported, and subscribe to notifications etc. I've heard bugzilla is pretty good.
-
Perhaps there is not a good answer to this question, as hipchat notifications from stash seem to suffer from this problem: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/STASH-7455
-
Thank you... do you know how to do that in a post-receive hook where the refs have already been updated?
-
@Michael Heemskerk - thanks for your full answer. Can we consider another case? Let's say we have a pre-commit hook, whereby we want to examine each commit that is pushed, imagine we want to check that it's signed or the commit message is greater than 2 characters or something. That sounds like a possible requirement. In…

Agree that that's a great answer, but... it doesn't seem like such a bone-headed question to me that there can't be an answer. I see lots of companies that want to manage the flow of change through their branches. Is there a better way of accomplishing this?
