Agreed - also you can disable some of the intermediate reindexings. This is more tricky because you need to be sure a later upgrade step does not rely on it, but made it a lot faster for us.

I've never done this two-phase recommendation that Atlassian recommends (either for jira or confluence). I believe they recommend it just so that it's easier for them to diagnose problems if there are any. The key thing is to test the migration on a copy of your production dataset. If it works you can do it in one fell…

OK, use: authorUser.displayName
-
No such property: dispalyName
-
You should be able to just append .displayName to what you have already.
-
The error should be in the response entity... you can grab it by using a failure handler (or a debugging proxy). Have a look at the HttpBuilder docs.
-
The native way to do this by the way is using HttpBuilder, which is included in SR. Not sure that that will help though, although the error reporting will be easier.
-
I don't know... I would have guessed an SSL cert problem but if works from bash it should work from jira. Did you try both curl commands including with the data that's it's supposed to send? Capture the curl output with curl.execute().text, then log that. You might need to check the docs for the execute method to see if…

Most likely Jeanette actually assigned a new value to the statusObject.name, when she meant to compare. This will cause weirdness like this.
-
cfValues['Severity'] = "Level 1/Critical" This is also wrong. Should be ==.
-
issue.priority = '1'That's not valid, see my answer on your other question about this.
-
Also can you post any code you have attached to this function, either or both of the "condition" and "additional code"
-
> The newly cloned issues are not returned but 1007 issues which are actually not in status = new are returned There's no way it's going to modify 1007 issues - sounds like something else is screwed up. Maybe indexing is broken... as Ahmad says, reindex.
-
You're welcome, and thanks to @Boris Georgiev [Botron] too
-
This is not normally done by groups, but by roles. And yes, a dashboard per project is not a bad idea. Even if you had a query that said "show all issues for my current groups", because you would be in jira-users, it would show everything.
-
Hold on, I do nothing *but* offer support! There is currently an issue with "hideable custom field" types but you just want a regular custom field. The hideable ones also hide it from being seen in remote APIs and excel and so on, but if you're considering javascript then you don't need to go there.
-
If you can't bind to the ldap server using JXplorer it's just a case of "contact your admins". The principal DN or password or both is wrong... Not much point in trying to get it working with confluence til you've got past this point.

That's what I'm suggesting Dieter would suggest if he remembered his answers ;-)
-
There are workarounds, depending on how dirty you want to get your hands. For example @Dieter made a suggestion to solve pretty much the same problem here: https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/37374/does-jira-provide-a-view-or-report-that-show-issue-history-changes-for-multiple-issues?page=1#37948, or you could write…

You can do a simple validator with script runner, asserting the input matches a regex.

I wrote some extra docn that may help you: https://jamieechlin.atlassian.net/wiki/display/GRV/Scripted+JQL+Functions#ScriptedJQLFunctions-MoreComplexExamples
-
that should work fine... in what way is there a problem? You can use "filter = " - check the JQL docn. > cannot pass in the name of a filter here but have to enumerate the entire query we are attempting to make You don't have to duplicate the clauses - it depends what you want. In your case having project = X on the outer…

Thanks for your comments Jeff, much appreciated.

You can't, see https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-8663 and others. You can automate creation of components across projects by writing your own plugin, or maybe using the JCLI or something.
-
In the inner query, you need to join on project, and not on cfv.
-
You need to join jiraissue to project - what query do you have so far? What DBMS?
-
You can write your own plugin to deal with that, or, use labels, or try the nfeed plugin. Somewhere I put an example of using javascript to retrieve values for a select list from a web service or a plain file using jsonp.
-
Yes you do. If you have a lot consider using https://jamieechlin.atlassian.net/wiki/display/GRV/Built-In+Scripts#Built-InScripts-BulkImportCustomFieldValues
-
> It's unlikely that an import ends with a lowercase word It is. And if you use "def" rather than the static typing you can get rid of most of the imports.

userAccountControl=512 is probably wrong... userAccountControl is a bitmask, likely there will be other flags set so the value will not equal 512. The syntax for testing if it has this bit set is nasty, something like: (userAccountControl:1.2.840.113556.1.4.803:=512) - returns true if 0x00000200 is set.
