Your understanding of scrum and agile is wrong. It is the team that decide what goes into a sprint, not the product owner. The product owner is part of the team, and has a lot to say about what the team should be focussed on, but that is entirely guidance and explaining to the team what the goals are. Having the PO define…

The css in Confluence is complex and generally it's a bad idea to try to mess with it. What are you trying to achieve here? What is wrong with Confluence that you are trying to fix?

If you absolutely must carry on using it while you plan and build your move to a supportable system, then tighten your backup cycles. I remember one place where I ended up amending their backup scripts so that when the current backup finished, the next one started after a 10 second pause! I should have said this earlier…

I would love to see Atlas have a "hey, just show this Confluence page" function!
-
Hi Benjamin, A Scrum board will only show items that have been drawn into the current active sprint - by definition, these are no longer backlog items, because you have said your team is working on them. You don't need to worry about columns here, just look at the current sprint in the backlog.

Welcome to the Atlassian Community! The biggest risk is that you will lose absolutely everything right now. I really do mean now, it could easily have failed why I am typing. The damage tends to be catastrophic, not just integrity or corruption. If you imagine a database as a single file, with issues first and config data…

Welcome to the Atlassian Community! JWM does not really have much of a hierarchy, it's not really intended to be a scaled multi-project development system (which is where Epics come from in Jira Software). JWM is more like the original Jira, which was built as a simple issue tracker, and only needed the base-level issues…

Welcome to the Atlassian Community! There's no lifespan. Issues only get archived or removed when a human deliberately chooses to do it. Albeit some of us script or automate it!
-
And fields, it's not just the workflow!
-
Yes, definitely server/DC. Can you check the "field configuration" for the project? There will be an Environment field listed in there.
-
Yep, CSV is a good option when you have a lot of different values to set! Bulk edit is best when you know you want to set 980 issues to "3" and have 20ish outliers. CSV is best when you have a lot of outliers. I usually use a mix - given 1000 issues, is there something I can search for that tells me "set 300 of them to 3,…

JSM boards don't have a lot of configuration, it is only columns, swimlanes and quickfilters. They run off a filter of "Project = this project", and will only hide issues that have been in the done column untouched for a while. But this confuses me a bit, because JSM projects do not have a backlog. This suggests you're…

Welcome to the Atlassian Community! I think you are in the wrong place, your question does not seem to be about an Atlassian system. I suspect you have clicked on "help with the system in use for documentation or issue tracking" instead of "help with the product".

My family were not that into games, mostly because of Dad. We did a lot of card games though - Mum, and her parents, played a lot of Rummy and a bit of Canasta, Whist, and quite a lot of Cheat when Grandad was around. I only ever remember my father's side of the family trying to teach us Contract Bridge, at a time when my…

Click on your profile icon, select "personal settings" from the menu, and you'll find your email preferences in the middle. Look for "You make changes to the issue"

Ok, we'll need to dig a bit more. Are you on Cloud or Server/DC? And is the project Team or Company managed? If you're not sure of either of those questions, look to the bottom of the left hand column when you're in an issue or project view. If you are on Cloud, it will say "team managed" or "company managed". You won't…

Welcome to the Atlassian Community! The four Jira products all run on the Jira platform, and their data is not separated out. If you're working with any one of Jira Software, Service Management, Work Management, or Product Discovery, in one site, then they're all running in the same place. The Jira Software storage report…

Welcome to the Atlassian Community! There is a bit of a complexity here. The issue type is a structural thing, a lot of configuration is dependent on the issue type. It is not just a field. Because of that, you always need to "move" an issue from one type to another. Jira has to check that your data fits with any possible…

Hi Rizky, I am sorry that the answer you got before was misleading - it was generated by an AI that has no understanding of your question or Atlassian software. There is no way to do this. Each app interacts with its host in different ways and you would have to have the vendors of each app code performance-sapping logging…
-
Please, stop trying to use AI to answer questions without checking the results. Three of these points are wrong, and the fourth not a lot of use.
-
That's probably not a good idea - you no longer have a base-level issue, so all your stories, bugs, and defects are now all cross-(jira)-project epics.
-
Welcome to the Atlassian Community! Jira Software does not have the concept of a customer, so no, there's no way to do this. You should really stick with your JSM project, otherwise you will need to open up your whole software project to your customers (obviously, I'll recommend sticking to read-only access for them). If…

Hi Ben, The issue has a resolution set. I suspect you have a workflow that does not clear the resolution when an issue is re-opened. You'll need to talk to your admins about getting the workflow fixed. There's not a lot you can do about this issue yourself, you can't clear the resolution manually.
-
Welcome to the Atlassian Community! One quick check - can they try to use the account to log into id.atlassian.com ? If they can log in there (they may need to try the password reset route too), then the account has been deactivated in one of your systems, not as a whole, and you'll need to talk to the system admins. If…

Hi Drew, Portals are a function of JSM, and are a part of every JSM project. Software, product discovery, and work management projects do not have portals.
-
Welcome to the Atlassian Community! If you search for the issues you want to add the new data to, you can use "bulk edit" (in the options menu ... towards the top right of the issue navigator) to edit the field for up to 1000 issues at a time. You don't have to be precise on the initial search, the bulk-edit takes you…
-
You create a JSM project - each one has a portal.
-
The only "pro" is that it can make your data easier to understand. Some people will say stuff about privacy and security, but if you've created the issue, it's too late to be worrying about that. I strongly recommend that you disallow delete for anyone other than an expert user, someone who can be relied on to vet whether…

Welcome to the Atlassian Community! Many people like (and indeed need) to be able to control their own mail services. You have no admin rights over the default mail server.
-
Ok, so to simplify or summarise this: your 'bots, code, IP, documentation, and so on have been copied by someone else (the exact type of data that is being plagiarised isn't important at this point) you can see them using this elsewhere you do not think you have made any of this public, or shared access, deliberately or…
