Hi Jayven, You can only select a security level that you are a member of. Check the projects issue security scheme to see the rules on who is in which level.

Welcome to the Atlassian Community! The definition of "done" is broadly "no-one needs to pay attention to this any more, it needs no more work", so why would you want to see such dead items on your board? All they would do is take up space and distract people from your active work. It seems silly not to hide them when you…

Yes, that was my point

What app are you using to do project level attachments? Can you see what is in the files attached at that level?
-
Ok, thank you for explaining (especially visually, that's even better for me) You can do this by simply creating pages with all the titles that you name there, and moving them to the right place in the tree (if you don't create them from their parent page initially. For example, if you went to the page U3V and clicked…

Welcome to the Atlassian Community! Because you have not set a resolution on it. As I said before, the status and its category are irrelevant, the strike-out is controlled only by the resolution.
-
There is no issue here, you just need to add the fields to the transition screen if you want to edit them during a transition.
-
Jira doesn't create direcotories outside the issues. I suspect you have an app that does project-level attachments.

That is what "issue type screen schemes" are for, not "issue type schemes". You'll need to create an issue type scene scheme for each project to tell a project what "screen scheme" you want to use for each issue type. The screen schemes then tell the project what screens (which are not anything more than a list of fields…

Welcome to the Atlassian Community! Where are you seeing this 20 project limit? I can see over a hundred in my overviews and that's after I've deliberately had myself removed from projects that I do not need to be involved in. Jira was written to be a better issue tracker than another one that I don't need to mention,…

Yes, that's what quick-filters are for - drilling down and narrowing the data to a sub-set. That means "and"ing them together. Why are you removing the parenthesis that explain what you mean to Jira? The search does not remove parenthesis from what you have typed or pasted in.

Welcome to the Atlassian Community! What issue? Can you not create issues that are not sub-tasks? Or is something going wrong with your sub-tasks?
-
Yes, the rule is "you can use any version released before the end of your licence"

Visit the UK - our national dish is Chicken Tikka Massala, and we have curry houses everywhere, of which a surprising number are Kosher!

Using your paws to dip the rice into the sauce and pick up whatever else you want in the next bite is absolutely the right way to eat a biryani, IMHO. A spoon is sometimes useful though - for cleaning up the last bits without being impolite by sticking your head in the bowl to lick it clean ;-) It is also the best way to…

Just to support John's answer - there's a reason locked fields are locked; it is to prevent us from misconfiguring them. As John says, the Epic link field is no longer of any use, it is only there for systems which have used it in the past, and it it should not be used any more. I expect it to vanish from Cloud eventually,…

Ridden a bicycle. My family tried many times to teach me how to do it when I was a kid, but we didn't find out that I had ear problem that wrecked my balance. I used to balance mostly by vision, rather than the inner ear. The diagnoses came from "Nic falls over if you ask him to stand still with his eyes shut" It has…

Hi Thomas, The easiest thing to do is map your "rejected" status into the last column on your board. That's the only thing that matters to the sprint, the status itself is utterly irrelevant. You can explain this to your people quite simply - an issue is "something that we need to do something about" and "rejected" is…

Welcome to the Atlassian Community! This is most likely to be down to the user that you are using to log in and issue the commands not having the permission to see or work with the issue you are trying to use.

Welcome to the Atlassian Community! For anything other than a really small install (up to 25 users and a few thousand issues at most), your backups should be done by: * Use the native database tools to get a backup of the database (mysqldump or pg_dump for example) * Taking a copy of the attachments directory in the Jira…

Welcome to the Atlassian Community! The treeview already uses UTF-8 ASCII, so I am not sure what you mean by that. I also do not understand what you mean by "SP vertical nav" or what tabs or colours you are trying to use. Maybe could you give us a screenshot and explain what you are trying to change on it?

I am not missing the point, I think you are. H2 was, and still is, a quick and easy choice for firing up throw-away systems where the customer is not going to use them in production. Plus they're systems which repeatedly scream that they're not for production (you can't turn the warnings off without recompiling the code!)…

Welcome to the Atlassian Community! You will need to either increase the maximum size of the heap, or look into your build process to see what is consuming so much memory.

Welcome to the Atlassian Community! How are your people telling Jira that one issue blocks another?
-
I'm afraid that's not thinking like a customer. Thinking like a customer means I would do a bit of an evaluation and pay attention to the constant warnings that I am not using a system that is not suitable for production. If I put real data into it during an evaluation, then I would heed those warnings and move it to a…

Welcome to the Atlassian Community! You will need a script that can read over all your attachments and extract their names alongside their file ids, then (at least) give you a simple mapped list of name, version, and the exact path and file name.
-
The only way to "fix" this is to improve your hardware and reduce the volume of issues that need to be indexed.
-
Welcome to the Atlassian Community! There is not enough information in your question to be certain of this, but I think you are saying you have raised an issue in the wrong project. The best thing to do would be to use "move" in the issue's options menu, that will let you select a new project for the issue. You may need to…

Not a helpful answer I'm afraid, but could you report the crashes to our support team? We want to fix any problems like the ones you are seeing. https://www.scriptrunnerhq.com/help/support We're working on extending the JQL functions as well and are looking for feedback on how the current searches work, as well as what…
