Hey Doug, I am guessing that someone set your JSM email address as the Technical or Billing contact on the license. Atlassian is not emailing customer sites, they're emailing customer contacts. Boris

We use Exalate for this with our customers. We're one of two of their Certified Partners so if you need any help, feel free to shoot me an email boris@atlasauthority.com
-
If you need this for only yourself, you can do this as a filter subscription. If you need to set this up for many users, take a look at Notification Assistant for Jira. It's the app we make for sending emails with email templates that match your needs.

This sounds like a perfect use case for our app, Notification Assistant for Jira which is also a Staff Pick!
-
Ed is 100% right in his response and also great at what he does if you’re in APAC. If you need help in the Americas feel free to reach out at Boris@atlasauthority.com

I would also throw our app, Notification Assistant for Jira into the ring for building custom emails!
-
You’d have to place the emails into a text field and then use an app like our Notification Assistant for JIRA to send notifications to that field.
-
We support using Placeholders in our Templates in Notification Assistant for Jira. You can combine this with the Recipients and Triggers in a Notification so that this only goes to your Agents.
-
In Notification Assistant for Jira we support this using the Include field changes option in our Template configuration. This then adds the comment field if it is used, and skips it if it isn't.
-
This is native functionality in our app, Notification Assistant for Jira.
-
I am not a Groovy expert so sorry but I can't help there. However, if you want to try this without writing code, we support building emails exactly like this in our app, Notification Assistant for Jira.
-
Brant is 100% right. If you don't want to ask the users to subscribe, you can use an app like ours, Notification Assistant for Jira to push an email to all of them.
-
I think the only people who can help with this would be Atlassian Support who can unblock email addresses. If you need an alternative email system, check out Notification Assistant for Jira
-
We support direct attachments in Notification Assistant for Jira
-
It's the first part of the URL. So <subdomain>.atlassian.net or <subdomain>.monday.com
-
We support attachments in emails in Notification Assistant for Jira
-
Not sure about JETI, but you could create a Template with only the Attachment field on it in Notification Assistant for Jira and use our Send Email from Issue functionality.
-
If you want more power to customize templates than what the default function described by Alex allows, check out Notification Assistant for Jira
-
We support attachments in Notification Assistant for Jira

I don't think you can attach the file itself at this time. However, we support direct attachments in Notification Assistant for Jira
-
We support using Placeholders in Notification Assistant for Jira and you can set these links in your emails.

Earl is right about using apps from the Marketplace to help extend email customization. The app we make, Notification Assistant for Jira features a drag and drop editor for templates, attachments placed directly on the email, support for project level configuration, and more. Let me know if you have any questions.
-
I agree with Jack that this is likely the best approach if you need it only for yourself. If you need more control over who gets notified, or what is included in notifications, consider using Notification Assistant for Jira. We support attachments, custom templates, and more.
-
I think this is likely an issue of user preferences / user email client. In either case, the top scenario has opted for Text formatted emails, and the bottom one has opted for HTML formatted emails. Not sure there is much to be done here except check if you have your system set to send Text by default.

We're launching support for Post Functions in Notification Assistant for Jira this coming week. You can configure that to use the Manager field as the recipient, and build a custom Template.
-
Hi Amrita, You can send a list of matching JQL issues to the appropriate recipients in our app Notification Assistant for Jira.
-
If you decide that re-building the internal logic of a notification plugin isn't a great use of your time, check out Notification Assistant for Jira where you could set this up. The only item we won't have is the Counter column.
-
Correct, however you wouldn't use us directly with Automation for Jira. What you would do is to have A4J perform some action, and use our Triggers to send the email.
-
We support creating email templates in Notification Assistant for Jira

Hello Gavin, We support this using the ${issuecount} Placeholder in Notification Assistant for Jira
