Did the clone begin and terminate prematurely or did it not start at all?

We've had a few reports of this on High Sierra and will investigate for our compatibility update for that OS. Our apologies for the hiccup. Brian Ganninger Senior Mac Developer, Sourcetree

What OS are you on? I'll ping the Identity team to let them know about this issue. Please contact support and they'll be able to work with you privately to ensure everything is correct on our end. When signing in any JSON in Sourcetree should be visible momentarily at most, detected, and proceed with setup. Our apologies…

When you say "hang" do you mean an actual hang (spin) with the pinwheel cursor or do you simply mean takes a long time? If it's an actual hang please use Activity Monitor to sample the application and file a ticket with that attached at https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/SRCTREE. Also include details about the repository…

We don't offer that option or expose a way to add it directly within the UI. You could create a custom action to do that though, I suspect. Please file a ticket for us to track the improvement: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/SRCTREE (macOS) or https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/SRCTREEWIN (Windows). Cheers, Brian…

Please file a ticket at https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/SRCTREE with those details and we'll take it from there. Thanks for the report! Brian Ganninger Senior Mac Developer, Sourcetree

What platform are you on an what version of Sourcetree are you using?
-
Sourcetree doesn't actually generate the temp files (here's an example of how it can go rogue) we just specify the diff command to be run and the argument format. It should be written to a temporary directory in /var or the like and cleaned up when the system next purges it. If it's that sensitive I'd recommend a script…

You aren't seeing any remotes in the Repository Browser or you are only seeing a sub-set of all remotes?

There is a known issue with repository avatar fetching from Bitbucket Cloud that we're waiting on a fix for. The workaround is to use the "custom icon" technique we support. Brian Ganninger Senior Mac Developer, Sourcetree

We're working with the Identity team to track down the issue. Thank you for your patience.

We're not aware of any hangs on launch related to 10.12.6 (or in general.) Please sample the application using Activity Monitor and attach that here for us to review. You might try setting aside your preferences as well to see if it's something specific in there. Apologies for the hiccup. Brian Ganninger Senior Mac…

The current version of Sourcetree is not compatible with Windows Server 2008 (Vista). You can find older builds in our Downloads Archive and hopefully one of those will work better. Cheers, Brian Ganninger Senior Mac Developer, Sourcetree

As Peter noted, please vote for an existing ticket or file a new one in either https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/SRCTREEWIN or https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/SRCTREE. We review these often and the number of votes helps gauge interest (not comments.) Thanks! Brian Ganninger Senior Mac Developer, Sourcetree

Generating visual diffs is a complex task within Sourcetree, how large are the files/changesets you're navigating between?

What Sourcetree version and OS version are you on?

I'm tracking a deep issue related to this and theming for the next update. Brian Ganninger Senior Mac Developer, Sourcetree

We aren't aware of any issues like this. Please file a ticket with a screen recording if possible and we'll follow up there. Thanks! Brian Ganninger Senior Mac Developer, Sourcetree

Hi Marc, This works the same regardless of theme, it sounds like something else is amiss and the web view is no longer cooperating. That said, you can right-click on any commit in the list and use the "Copy SHA-1 to Clipboard" contextual menu item to accomplish this. Brian Ganninger Senior Mac Developer, SourceTree

Does Overleaf offer a URL format for open Git or Mercurial repositories? It didn't seem like it at first blush. If so, file a ticket with details at https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/SRCTREE Brian Ganninger Senior Mac Developer, SourceTree

Please file a ticket and we'll take a look for a future update. Thanks!

From all reports we've gathered that alert is typically shown on managed machines when the network adminstrator has set a policy that's not properly detecting the versions of SourceTree. Brian Ganninger Senior Mac Developer, SourceTree

SourceTree picks up your Terminal's environment (in 2.5+) when running commands - if set the specified variable in your shell's profile it should "just work" if there aren't any other problems for git when translating the paths. Brian Ganninger Senior Mac Developer, SourceTree
