What version of Sourcetree are you using? What OS are you on?
-
Please post a screenshot of the issue you're encountering. I'm not clear on exactly what the problem is.
-
Please post the crash report so we have context for what the crash actually is. Thanks.

a) not sure b) we've done a lot of work across all layers c) Windows is an entirely different codebase d) we'll have to find out Fundamentally we are built on the git executables and the machinery from Apple to run them and are subject a bit to any changes they impose upon us.

There's not a way to do so with Sourcetree but I suspect you could write a hook that does this. That's where I would look to first. Here's a potentially good start.

Yes, we do staged rollouts and 2.4.7 is at 75% I believe.

Sourcetree doesn't provide an interface for configuring GitLab accounts. That said, you can configure your SSH and clone your repo from the command line and then open the repo with Sourcetree to use it like any other. Brian Ganninger Senior Mac Developer, Sourcetree
-
Sourcetree does not currently support GitLab as a hosting service. This request is tracked in SRCTREE-1037. While you can't browse remotes or utilize any other extended integrations you are able to clone the repo via URL and use the rest of Sourcetree without restriction. Thank you for the notes Rod. We're aware of user reports about performance and have a dedicated update planned for this soon. We'll also be refreshing the embedded Git release to pick up the latest changes. Brian Ganninger Senior Mac Developer, Sourcetree

Are you using Git or Mercurial?

We've also started posting "Tips from the team" articles here on Community so check those out as well.

Under the Help menu you'll find a couple links that might help… 1. "Getting Git Right" as a general introduction 2. "Get Started with Sourcetree" as a guide for our itself Armed with those you'll likely have a whole different set of questions 😀

Have you tried increasing the size of the files supported in the Diff settings tab? It may be too large for preview based on the defaults.

What version of Sourcetree are you using? What OS are you running? What is the output of ssh-add -l (does it contain the identities you expect)?

Hi Amit, SourceTree 1.6 is no longer a supported version; it's available for download only for those that need it as a fallback for a specific reason. That said, interactive scripting triggered by commits isn't supported within the Sourcetree UI. Brian Ganninger Senior Mac Developer, Sourcetree

Sourcetree is looking at the remotes (for Bitbucket Cloud) and for the presence of a Bitbucket Pipelines configuration file. If those aren't present then the messaging changes. Brian Ganninger Senior Mac Developer, Sourcetree

If Git and Git-LFS have been properly downloaded and installed then everything should "just work" with Sourcetree. I'll have one of the Windows devs chime in as well to confirm. Brian Ganninger Senior Mac Developer, Sourcetree

We've had a couple reports about this and will investigate shortly. Thanks for the info. Brian Ganninger Senior Mac Developer, Sourcetree

You can find out about Atlassian's privacy policy here (Sourcetree is a downloaded product in this case.) As an Enterprise you might be interested in our proposal for changes to the Windows setup and registration discussed on our trusted-testers mailing list.

You can use the file list filters to show only modified files or to sort by file status. This would make it much simpler :)

Hi @Tomasz Wilczynski, That ticket is open and there has been no activity since you filed it a few weeks ago. We will review and prioritize when time allows. That's all the update I can provide currently.

Mike is correct, you'll find this setting in Preferences -> Git -> Perform submodule actions recursively Brian Ganninger Senior Mac Developer, Sourcetree

Bookmarked repositories show their "display name" instead of the path's last component. You can rename a bookmark from its contextual menu. So you could name them Phase 1, Phase 2, Phase 3 using the Repository Browser without changing what's on disk. If you need to confirm which is which there's the macOS trick of…
