@Michael Poijes There is no one click export right now. You must first set up your next-gen project and then "move" issues to this new project. https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftwarecloud/moving-an-issue-902499026.html
-
@Michiel Starrenburg not yet. We're building up the power over time and this is something we will tackle in the future.
-
@Mike Bansal we've rolled out story points to 50% of next-gen projects and we'll hit 100% over the next couple of days. You should have this very soon! The change issue type is also something we are currently working on so shouldn't be too long either. "Moving" the issue is the way to do this now.
-
@Ricardo Marcantuono can you let me know how you are logging time on the next-gen project?
-
@Ben Watson next-gen projects are new within Jira Software and there continues to be the classic projects that you are familiar with. It's most likely you do not have the permissions to create a classic project if you do not see that option, but your admin can do this for you. We're working on making it more clear on…
-
@Volker Schaberg not right now but that's coming soon!
-
@Michael Brown your project admin currently controls the swimlanes on the project as its currently impacts how all users view the board. It is shown as "group by" on the board. We'll look to make this a user specific setting in the future!
-
@Pavel Khandramay do yo think it makes more sense to always default to the view you are in or do you think it's better to have the choice of board or backlog?
-
Hi @san, the best way to see what's unassigned on the board is to group by assignee (you currently need to be a project admin to do this). This also allows you to easily drag and drop issues between swimlanes to update the assignee. Having a dedicated unassigned filter is something we will look at in the future. Cheers
-
@Sam Storer making the Group By a user setting rather than board setting isn't something we'll be doing right away as we're currently working on sub-tasks. However its good to get this feedback as it helps us understand when we should come back to this as it's something we keen to do. Cheers Eoin Product Manager, Jira…
-
Hi @Tsuf Barkai. Ya exactly. You would need to set up your new project manually. Sorry I don't have a better answer for you. Hopefully it doesn't take too long. Cheers, Eoin Product Manager, Jira Software
-
Thanks for the feedback @Andrew Rakicsany. We definitely don't want to set the expectation that you are beta testing. We are however rolling out features (that you may know if you are an existing Jira user) as we have them ready to increase the power of the project experience over time. What we haven't done well at…
-
Awesome @[deleted]! Great feedback. The next iteration of board clearing will give you what you need, and we'll factor to your feedback in for when we look at extending the grouping feature. Thanks!! Eoin Product Manager, Jira Software
-
Hi @FabioCalo, the issues would have been cleared from the last column on your board after 2 weeks of being there. We do this to reduce clutter on the board. We will look to iterate on how this works in the future. These issues still exist and can be viewed by Clicking on the "Looking for older issues" link at the bottom…
-
Hi @Tsuf Barkai! Apologies for the confusion. The new Agility projects are independently configured and it's not currently possible to share settings or boards with these projects. You can read a bit more about why we have started with this here. In the future we will provide a mechanism for sharing settings. We're…
-
@Andrew lau We are building out a new project experience in Jira Software and adding features as they are ready. Time logging and reporting as a capability is not something we are currently working on (although it will be in the future). One option is to move your issues to a classic project where you will have this…
-
Thanks @[deleted]. We'll be looking at sub-tasks as the next piece of work and board clearing will likely be next up after that. The next iteration will look to give users the ability to clear issues ad-hoc, on top of the two week clearing right now. Hopefully the inconvenience in the meantime isn't too frustrating and…
-
@Steve Terelmes we are looking to make it easier to add control where necessary rather than making the experience over restrictive by default. There is a global permission for independent projects (we're working on how we name the new project experience so this may change). In the future, we'll also look to have a way to…
-
@Zile Rehman we've got an incredibly broad user base with very different needs. The new project experience does already satisfy a large number of users and we will continue to layer on power to continually increase this number. Where we can do better is helping each user determine up front whether this project experience…
-
Hi @Joel Murray. Apologies for the frustrating experience you've had! Your feedback here is great and we are currently working on making it much more discoverable that there is a new project experience and what features are currently available in this experience. We absolutely want to avoid getting into the situation that…
-
@Zile Rehman, I'm sorry that the experience for multiple issue types is confusing. If you are an admin of your project, you can add (and manage) issue types from "Project settings". We've taken your feedback on board and we will look at how we can make this ore discoverable for new users. Thanks!
-
@Garikoitz Sub-tasks are not available in the new project experience yet. We went with epics as our first iteration work hierarchy and these will be available very soon. Sub-tasks will be the next thing that we pick up. We're also currently working on making the differences with the new project experience more discoverable…
-
Thanks @FabioCalo! We are about to start rolling out epics so should see these very soon. Let us know if your thoughts once you get to use them. We will start working on story point estimation and sub-tasks next!
-
@Nits G do you have the link to the help documentation you were looking at? I'd like to make updates if it is confusing. Thanks
-
@Upasna_Bassi We're currently working on our first iteration of epics and they will be available very soon. When you get a chance to use them in your project, I'll be keen to get your feedback on whether they address your needs! Thanks
