If you are using that query, there should not be issues showing up. Can you share a screenshot? Why can you not use the parent is empty? What do you mean you don't have? Did you try the query as I have above?

Hi Shabin - Welcome to the Atlassian Community! If many are related to forms, is there a reason you can't eliminate many of them and use the built-in fields without linking to a Jira custom field?
-
Hi Stephanie - Welcome to the Atlassian Community! I assume this is a form on a Jira Software space (or Business space).. Is that correct or is it a Jira Service Management space? What type of field/fields is it? A cascading pick list? Or two independent single pick lists? Can you share some screenshots?

I remember the feeling of thinking I was something of a big shot because I was on the school safety patrol in 5th grade haha. Good times!

Yes, that's an annoying thing to have to do, but you definitely have to click the add before the save. I STILL make that mistake sometimes. Glad you got it shared properly with them and have it up and running now.
-
Updates can also happen as a result of events firing on the workflow.
-
Hmmm, do items show up on other work items if you click it?
-
Hi John, How many steps in the workflow does the Ops ticket have? Is it just a To Do, In Progress, Done set of steps? Or more? Where I am going is why create a separate ticket for Ops? Why not just add a step in the Dev workflow for deployment and assign it to Ops at that point?

De nada!

You need to click the Refresh button under the Automation section to see the rules that have run.
-
Are you sure that each one of the Sub-tasks don't count as a component? Because if you put multiple Conditions in the single Trigger step - each of those is counted as an action. But yes, you should report it to Atlassian as a potential bug. https://support.atlassian.com/contact/#/ But you also might want to test with…
-
Hey Nathan, I would suggest creating each Sub-task as a separate Create work item action in the rule instead of doing multiple ones in a single step.
-
No was referring to the mapping of the Request type to the Issue type. You would need to be an Administrator for the Space to see that.
-
Great - glad to hear!
-
Okay thanks for the clarification. Let me see if someone from Atlassian can come help.
-
Hi Tagwizz, That being the case, you'll just need to open a support ticket with Atlassian. Please post back here with the resolution/guidance for future readers. https://support.atlassian.com/contact/#/

Thanks for the clarification. How many different teams per request type are potentially involved? I know you don't really want to use the IF/ELSE logic, but if it works???
-
@Derek Fields _RightStar_ - Are you able to answer the questions above?
-
Hi Garski - Welcome to the Atlassian Community! Can you share a screenshot of your escalation policy for the Team you are on? And you are part of a Team in Jira correct?
-
Also, let me ask some more clarifying questions. Is this for the Alert? Or is this for an Incident that gets created as a result of the Alert? What is the issue type of the work item being created?
-
Hi Derek, Unless I am missing something in your question, you are wanting to assign a ticket in the JSM project to a Team. Correct? If so, you cannot assign a ticket to a Team, only an individual.
-
I don't see the Onboarding issue type in your screenshots. Also, do you have a list of the Request Types in the IT project showing the mapping of each Request Type to the corresponding Issue Type? Can you share that?
-
issuetype = Epic AND (parent not in (Initiative_1, Initiative_2) or parent is empty)
-
Yeah, it's like "want some candy little boy???"
-
Hi Chad, When you get the screen with the "Short Form" value in it, are you not able to click the dropdown and select another one? And just for clarification, these are not templates nor request types nor forms you are moving the ticket to. They are Issue Types (now Work Types in the Jira world).

Friends don't let friends create Team-managed projects. There, I said it!

Did you share the filter you created in step 1? You have to share the filter for people to be able to see the board. :-)
-
Then you should be able to do that. Go under Project Settings and then Automation.
