@BindhuThe best way for you connect with Jira is using REST API, I am pointing you the guides that you can use to do this, * https://developer.atlassian.com/server/jira/platform/rest-apis/ * https://docs.atlassian.com/software/jira/docs/api/REST/8.4.3/ However, Jira doesn't provide with Test Case management by default, you…

Nice post, I simply believe as humans if we don't seek and propagate knowledge there is no meaning of calling our self superior species. What is best way to seek and propagate knowledge? The answer is COMMUNITY. So, if know something, share, and if don't know something, ask. This way we will make everyone's life happier.

@Yogita Patil @Andrew is correct there exists no such API where you can fetch all versions from Jira. Only way to do this is per project basis. In case you just want to fetch this information once, you can always refer to 'projectversion' table in your Jira database, where all project versions are stored.

@BindhuJira is a web based application, so by connecting if you mean integration, here are options you have, * Rest API * Java API using plugin infrastructure It will easier for me, if you share your requirements, that way I will be able to give you precise connecting option.

@Mabutho_MncubeThe simple answer to this is you can't. As per API documentation the maximum number of issue you can fetch from Jira using api is set to 1000. So that is the maximum limit. To by-pass this issue, you have to call API multiple times with start index defined.

Feel for the fitness keeps on changing for me, sometimes I am so much into running and gym that I do it for 7 days a week, and sometimes I only like to sleep (to stay away from the people). But one thing I do everyday is write a piece of code. Code is my brain tonic, it sets my mood for the day. The best mental exercise…

@aasopening a issue create window in an UI operation, so there is no possibility of opening it via REST API, or Scriptrunner. But you have two options here, * Take a look at this - https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/how-to-create-issues-using-direct-html-links-in-jira-server-159474.html* It explains how to open issue…

@Santhosh Kumar ArogyaswamyNo to edit options of custom field, user need to have project admin right in Jira. One suggestion I can give you is using 'Label' type custom field. In this user can add new labels, and unlike text field it will also provide auto-complete for existing labels.

No news on this yet. Atlassian Team Members can tell only if this is not closely guarded secret.

@[deleted]My bad, was on Linux. When you call a filter API it return detail of filter and not issues in filter. But the JSON response of filter API will contain a key name "searchUrl" you can use this URL and make another request to get issues in filter. I am attaching a sample JSON response of filter API for reference.…

@M KI made a small script in NodeJS for copying attachment from Server to Cloud (and vice versa), and I used BasicAuth for both. The only difference is in server/dc environment you have to use 'username' and 'password' combo whereas in cloud you have to use 'email' and 'api token' combo, when I made a UI for this, in form…
