Awesome! Love hearing this. That season really came together, for a number of reasons. A big one: it was our first with live audio. Our host and showrunner traveled to England and France for interviews. Really added power and immediacy.

Right on, John. We've been noodling on a sports angle since the very first brainstorms for season one. Hopefully we'll land on something one of these days... former Arsenal coach idea is a good one!

Hi Dan, I'm so happy to hear you're a fan of the show! We've had some conversations about season 5, but as of now, we don't have any immediate plans to start production. I'll let you know if/when we do. By the way, we're always interested in ideas for the show. For instance, if there's a team you'd love to learn more about…

I really like laying the groundwork. What a great piece of advice.

Yes, honesty is essential. That's how genuine trust is established. Always with the right intentions, and always with care. But we sense when someone isn't being truthful.
-
Very important tip.

Yes, I think it's really important to be specific. If we "hide" behind a platitude or generality, feedback doesn't ring true. Personalized doesn't necessarily mean personal, right? It's all about care and intention.

100% Samuel. I like the emphasis on being thoughtful and helpful. When there's real care involved, the process can be really inspiring.

Yes @John Funk it takes developing a new system. I like how Dom describes that in his piece. But @Bill Sheboy is right in the sense that productivity, per se, would be viewed a little different if you / your org already had new systems in place. Then productivity is talking about how you're managing your efforts toward…

Good points @Christine P. Dela Rosa I might even give you $2.03 for 'em. :)

Thanks @Curt Holley – glad to hear it, and I appreciate the response. Clearly there's a lot of nuance, and much trial and error. What a fascinating concept, especially in light of things like "Bezosism" which I read about this morning here: https://thehustle.co/09152021-Bezosism/ I suppose Amazon workers aren't "knowledge…

Hi Daniel! Thank you, so glad you're enjoying the show. We've got some pretty amazing designers at Atlassian, right? I love what they've created for our team superpowers, like "musical chairs" and "pivot and commit." As Christine noted, there are loads of cool things to check out on the extras page. Stay tuned... there are…

Hi Danny! Thanks for your great Qs. I wanted to jump in and add to Christine's response about your question #2. The editing process has been one of my favorite aspects of this project. The creative collaboration we've enjoyed with Pacific Content has really been a highlight. They've told us that we've been their most…

Hi Carolyn, thanks for these great questions. I just wanted to pile on here and echo what Christine said about "Saving Fukushima," and especially what you called out about the clips. Our production partners at Pacific Content included the Japanese interviews, with English translation, and I really appreciated that touch.…

Hi Nina! So glad you enjoy the show, and thanks for these Qs! Re #1, great question. It's a fun, tricky process. We – that is, our Atlassian team and our Pacific Content partners – did many, many rounds of brainstorming, researching, reviewing, and final selection. As the tagline suggests, we were really focussed on…

Hi Brittany! Thanks for the Qs. Re #1, as you can imagine, there are a number of challenges... but all of them pretty exciting, actually. (If all keeps going in the right direction, that is.) A surprising one? Naming! That was really challenging. Re #2, nothing planned. But we're definitely open to suggestions about future…

I love it, Ghiona. Thanks so much for taking the time to nominate your team, which sounds awesome. Everything you mention -- all the various contributions, the variety of thought and experience, and feeling like the work matters -- is inspiring. Kudos to your team, indeed!
