@Alexandra Szebelledi Do you think of something like this: This is a function of our plugin: Epic Sum Up
-
Alternatively you can use Epic Sum Up (our plugin) to summarize Story Points, besides Time or whatever you want in a brief panel like this:

You´re welcome... If you need a deepdive to Epic Sum Up , you can send me a message. Jira´s limitations are reason enogh for a lot of cases, so I think you have to figure out what suits most.. :)

Ok, and what is each bar? one issue, one project or an overall ? for a live report, at each issue, you could use Epic Sum Up (our plugin) to get something like this: for a dedicated bar chart (on a dash board maybe), I know these apps: * easyBI : fully customizable * custom Charts for Jira: a lot of presets an d templates…

Hi @mdaintondcc , maybe something like a budget value may help you to store data over changes. Epic Sum Up (our plugin) does something like this:
-
This is related to the nature of Issues and Subtasks: Subtasks are "parts of" an Issue and therefor very hard to move Issues are the basic element in Jira (everything is an issue, even Subtasks but with restrictions), so Task and Story are just 2 variants of issues. Epics are Issues to, that have the ability to be parent…

Hi @Jamie Roth , Ok, so lets go into it, I have some more questions: * what kind of reports do you use? Or want to use? * the Epics are working as a folder of tickets right? so what is the meaning of having different epics? (the values in the dropdown could be a merged list of all values so you don´t have to use 2…

@atarab On the Server/DC the connection is stored in a custom field called "Container Link", so its the same as Epic Link or parent (used by Atlassian). In the cloud there are some restrictions about data and Custom Fields. We are waiting for Forge to solve that or build it based on properties in the mean time. Release is…
-
Hi @atarab , Oh, the Containers are Issuetypes, thats exactly the reason why we added container functionality to any issuetype you define. You can see that in the image, that the containers have values as all other issues, in the view they summarize them if collapsed. In expanded view you see that they have their own…

What planning or overview do you need from Jira Roadmap? If you just need the aggregation to get summaries, you might use Epic Sum Up(our plugin) to roll up the values like this: In this image I have mixed up Tickets that are connected to Epics and they are part of the Customer Project in a different Jira-Project (Jira…

Hi @atarab , we have implemented Container Links on Server/DC in Epic Sum Up, that gives you the ability to create these hierarchies: We are working on this feature for cloud, too. Would you be open to let us know what the requirements are that you may use that feature? I am talking about the parent-child connection... (on…

Hi @Rama K Goberu _Appfire_ , well I will try to go one by one. ;) First of all, I let the teams work independently as much as possible. I do this by assigning work packages to the team and give them milestone dates based on what we have estimated first. Lets stick to this example. When a project is set up, I need to…

Hi @Jamie Roth , may I ask what the use case is for the different fields? Do you want to show values somewhere?
-
Hi, we have a solution for the Server Cards by Epic Sum Up (our plugin) and a field that summarizes all child values e.g. Story Points. Looks like this: On Cloud we can "only" do this: Its not directly been visible, but with another clik on each epic you can see the Story point summary.. Hope that helps..
-
Hi @Bill Sheboy , oh sorry if it was not clear.(there is the vendor name besides my name) I will update my post.
-
What kind of chart do you need? historical data? or actual data and summaries?
-
Hi @Maite Rodriguez , we had the same issue, when we started using the Container functionality of Epics for project management. But after some time we needed this more and more and so we added this functionality to Epic Sum Up. For Server and DC you c an use the function of beeing Container on any issue and create flexible…

Do you think of something like this:

That´s the View of Epic Sum Up of a JQL.(our product) 1. Create a Filter for all Issues that shall be included (like "project = KEY"), save the filter 2. Use the "open ind Detail View Icon" 3. DVE opens like the screenshot 4. See here what you can do with the Detail View Editor
-
Hi @Arjun Mahindru , do you think of something like this?
-
@Moses Rajan If you have the need to justify the list of issues or easily add the exported columns and include some summaries, you might want to take a look at the new Detail View Editor of Epic Sum Up. You can: * open the initiative from the Summary panel or any progressbar * filter your issues to your relevant set if…
-
you might try Epic Sum Up on Server/DC for an easy way of extending hierarchies and summaries. On Cloud there is the container feature missing, but it will be added in the next version.
-
it has.. now ;)
-
Well, you lost me.. do you have a screenshot?
-
Hi, Maybe this view helps: https://confluence-public.aptis.info/plugins/servlet/mobile?contentId=13961999#content/view/13961999 If this is what you need, plus contact the vendor support, they will help you with configs. 😉

Hi, The Epic-Link Field shall autocomplete to the Epics taht are availabel. But you can also just paste the Issue Key from your epic into the JQL: Epoic-Link = KEY-123
-
I am Sorry, I could not answer more than 3 times, so I could not send you a hint anymore.. If you want, you can send me an email: a.haaken@aptis.info and I will try to help you.. Here is the short help: You have to create a dedicated progress field for every column. By doing this, you can create 3 different progressbars at…

Epics are already a group, do you think of Epics of Epics? (group of groups?)
-
sum.pngSomething like this? You can use the filter result gadget to display the progresses and the relevant values
-
Try Epic Sum Up ;)
