Hi Ronnie, I think that Issue Types would be really beneficial for you in this circumstance. This will allow you to keep one overarching project for each product, but allow the flexibility of distinguishing each 'sub project' with its own type. Have you explored issue types yet?

Hi Syed, this sounds like something that Atlassian Support can assist you with.

Hi Amber, does this help? https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftwarecloud/introducing-your-new-jira-experience-937886012.html

You're very welcome, best of luck wrangling those cowboys!
-
I should also add that I made transition screens for each transition that have the time spent and comment fields.
-
I have a transition rule set up like so: (present on all transitions applicable)
-
**Start Criteria is the entry into the 'Blocked' status in your case, then however many hours you want to commit to it being in that status. **End Criteria would be entry into closed/resolved/other live statuses
-
I do this without the use of an addon by creating an SLA for the target transition. After the SLA breaches, then I use the automation tool to close the issue (we also add a comment)

I don't think there is an order of operations necessary for removing if you are getting rid of both. Make sure to do a nice clean sweep for any JIRA default templates and workflows that get left behind when the project is removed.

Thanks @Brittany Wispell! Agree on Server, cloud is a bit handicapped with the more complex requests.

Here are the release notes on this issue: https://confluence.atlassian.com/servicedesk/jira-service-desk-3-10-x-release-notes-941610925.html#JIRAServiceDesk3.10.xreleasenotes-ver

Hm, this is available in cloud, but not server that I can see. However, we have JIRA Suite Utilities add on which includes this postfunction.

I think that you could get this working by updating your settings for the internal desk to only allow users from your corporate domain. https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Managing+Groups?_ga=2.52929960.1604989554.1521486699-1380277006.1504906704#ManagingGroups-Automaticgroupmembership

Someone familiar with Scriptrunner would need to weigh in. https://scriptrunner.adaptavist.com/latest/jira/quickstart.html

Use the create issues permission in Desk 2 (external Desk) and make sure your internal group does not have access to create.
-
I would say that you need to distinguish your internal users as a group. This will allow you to leverage the ability to adjust the permissions since the internal team is likely known but the external reporters could be unknown.
-
For existing tickets, you would have to allow the user to edit issues, and that opens you up to more trouble than it's worth. I'd say get a list of due dates for current issues and then update them yourself. For the second part of this question, it sounds like you need an automation that will pull certain verbiage out of…

I forgot to mention that the same thing goes for portals. Help Portal is only representative of one Help Desk, even though we have many available.
-
Will customers from desk 1 ever interact with desk 2? I ask this because yes, the user 'pool' will be shared, but what is the real harm in having all of your customers in one place? I have many help desks spread out in our company. A few of the desks share customers, others do not. All users are represented as 'Service…

I think you have to choose my answer to make it solved.

I find that a firm bop on the nose works... but maybe that's just cats... I'm not sure anymore. There are ways to physically limit their access to issues via issue security, but that doesn't really address the behavior aspect. My first recommendation would be having a team discussion on why they're doing this and ways to…

hahahaha, yeahhh... It causes so many problems with so many sites. Hard to believe it has such a huge following. I'm so happy this was the problem though, I was bunkering down for a long QA session on this one XD
-
Adblock is such a pain for a lot of sites, I'd try turning that off and checking it out. Especially when you have a website with a lot of dynamic content, it gets finicky.

Hi Melody, welcome!
-
The only other things I can think of are that the board is grouped in a non-private (can check through settings in the area above your board on the home page) OR that under members, this user was somehow invited to the team. I wish I could be of more assistance!
-
Was this new user added to your team on the boards they shouldn't have access to? I would recommend checking the menu for each of your boards. If this new user was added as a team member or non team member, this could be the reason they're getting board access.

Hi Deb, are you related to a non-profit or educational team? I know for sure they have pricing plans for those. Trello also has the basic 'Free' license available.
