Hey Sean, welcome to the Community! Will the information you're transferring out of JIRA need to be synced to Trello and then removed from JIRA or are you using Trello as a means to show issues that will still reside in JIRA?
-
Hey @Josh Devenny The survey is not open at this time. No permission has been granted for me to sign up.
-
Hey Dustin, The quick and dirty way to figure this out without a review of your settings would be to go into an issue within the project in question and open up the permission helper. Type the user, and it should give you a quick view of access settings preventing access.
-
Hey Kyle, The first thing I'm going to note is that you will need to be very careful with HIPAA compliance guidlelines when using JIRA for this kind of application. You will want any legal or compliance team members to fully vet (I'm sure you've considered it, but it bears repeating). Secondly, all compliance aside, I'd…

Hey Philip, It's too bad that the timespent won't work in your situation. I've scanned the forums and other sources for information on this question, and most responses have indicated you will need to install a time tracking addon like Tempo or Timesheet Reports and Gadgets. JQL is great, except for when it's not.…

Agree with Jack about the workflow transition, that's how I've got this set up in my org. We have a number of fields on the resolve screen where resolution is required to transition to the 'closed' statuses, assignee must be present, and other info that must be in the issue before it's able to be considered resolved.
-
Would this work for you? timespent is not empty
-
Hey Heather, welcome to the community. Closed status and Resolved resolution are not as tied together as you would think in JIRA. You will need to set your closed issues to update the resolution to resolved if you want them to drop out of open issues. Any items currently open will need to manually or batch updated with…

Wooho!! Go @Jack Brickey

I was having a lot of funky errors in Confluence yesterday as well. The status site is down right now, so I can't check to see if there are current incidents. Are you self-hosted or on cloud? I'll keep checking and see what I can come up with: https://status.atlassian.com/

EasyBI is not so easy for beginner users, but if you are more advanced in report creation, certainly a good option. I find that users who need an easy to use interface and options, with the flexibility of adding JQL queries, All-in-one reports is a good alternative.

So I'm imaging a board infrastructure where you have a different board for each 'role' and only that role can edit that board. From those individual boards, use an addon like Placker to sync the cards added to a main board. In this way, each role maintains a different board, but you have a 'master' view where you can see…

I have found the addon Automation for JIRA extremely handy for these kind of one-off automation rules. I'd say give it a trial run and see how you like it, if it works for you there are many applications outside of this use case that are handy.

Glad to see your testing worked out as expected. Have a great day!

@Shana, I think a deeper look into the statistics that are provided in the infographic would be a great starting point. It would be awesome to see an expanded article around the Pro Tip concepts such as: * PRO TIP Have a plan for user growth based on both employee count, business units onboarding to Jira, and projected…

Wonderful video all! I love seeing what Atlassians think about the software. What do you think is the best way to gauge best practices at scale compared to larger companies? My hope in the future is that the community engagement teams continue to find creative ways to bubble that knowledge up and shine a light on those…

Hi Gary, welcome to the Community! You would have to disassociate this channel from email requests. This tag is to signify that this is the default channel assigned to any incoming desk issues. Since the user submitting can't select a type (not utilizing the portal). If you go to Email Requests (fourth setting down from…
-
Hey Ted, welcome to the Community! Since these are UI elements, I don't think there are going to be any powerups inside of Trello that mimic the functionality. The only way I've seen Trello columns resized/moved was through the user of a browser addon.
-
Hi Amy, Does the transition you are applying trigger an event to send an email? If so, the email will still send as far as I'm aware. What you will want to do is remove the function from the transition to trigger that notification event if that is the case. To be extra sure, I'd recommend running a test scenario. I have…

Hey Luciana, Unfortunately the wiki render uses a different set of functions than the text editor here, which makes it a bit more tricky. https://smfencompass.atlassian.net/secure/WikiRendererHelpAction.jspa?section=texteffects The markups at the link below are the only way that I'm aware of in the cloud instance to format…

Or use the filter that's existing for that board. Agree with Jack that a screenshot would be helpful for where you're seeing a download icon. I can't locate one on my boards, just the print cards option.
-
Goat cheese, here here! I enjoy the consideration you put into shipping concerns and collapsing the world economy.
-
Agree with Leo, automation for JIRA will allow you to do many different automation that are not part of the base program. I've used this addon for the exact purpose you're specifying.

@Mirek - I didn't think I still had the ability to see the magic picture, but then I did it and had this giddy moment of being a kid again. Another trick I use besides what you said to hold up to your nose is cross your eyes slightly and then let them go without focusing too much. I swear it sounds complicated until you…
