Great topic @SGD! Have you tried http://everynoise.com/ ? It's my favorite way to find new music. Can be a bit of a clickhole though! I listen to drum and bass in the mornings usually because I can't let go of the early 2000s.

I love writing prompts so much ;-; I'll have to see if I can make something awesome this weekend :D Do you participate in NaNoWriMo?

There's one I have printed and hung on my wall, by Marie Curie: You cannot hope to build a better world without improving individuals. To that end, each of us must work for his own improvement and, at the same time, share a general responsibility for all humanity, our particular duty being to aid those to whom we think we…

@Scott Theus - hahahahaah I love it. You stoked for the new Star Trek??
-
@Nic Brough -Adaptavist- - I love your penguin. The missing eye and tea stains just prove he's been through some sh*t and made it through.
-
@carolyn french - how about my little ponies? I love that you held summer school, a little girl standing at an old green chalkboard with a big ruler instantly flashed into mind. :D

Aww, he looks like my husband's childhood bear ;-; When we first started dating, he had the ratty little thing on his bed. I surprised him on our first anniversary by completely repairing it: new wool stuffing, brushed out the fur, washed it, fixed a couple of rips. When our son was born, he passed it down. I'll have to…

@carolyn french @Scott Theus- go back and play it, seriously, be disappointed in your childhood self. I was amazed at how simple it was to get to the west as an adult. Be a banker. Capitalism is the answer.

What I'm hearing from @Scott Theus and @Jodi LeBlanc is that disposable cameras were a national treasure, and we're worse for wear without them. I know what I'm bringing to Summit 19.
-
I have no idea how I missed this post (considering the Alice series is one of my most-favorite things in the world)! I'm going to print this out for all my help desk techs, I've got a bunch of newbies that this will be an amazing guide for. This though, yassss: * You can always correct mistakes so don’t be afraid to give…

@Scott Theus I started a good reads account forever ago and decided that I couldn't handle more social media. Mom life sucked up a lot of my reading time. Maybe when my kids aren't clamoring for me all day, I'll get in some much-needed reading time. I'm not going to Summit either this year, but put me on the calendar for…

I'm in the same boat as @Scott Theus - I was a massive reader growing up, and if I wasn't in a classroom, my nose was pressed between two pages. I remember my very favorite book when I was a kid was The Emperor's New Clothes because I thought it was just the funniest thing that he was walking around naked, even if I didn't…

I was crazy broke my first year of college, I remember surviving off of instant mashed potatoes and the good graces of my grandmother who would have me over for dinner pretty frequently. I agree that textbooks are incredibly expensive. You just cross your fingers and hope you can sell it off at the end of the year.
-
@Jodi LeBlanc I found a disposable camera recently mixed in with a box of old journals! I haven't had it developed yet, but just knowing that it's full of blurry old pictures that are dingy and underexposed makes me happy. There was no perfection, just messy youth.
-
@Scott Theus - I love your mom. This is the kind of mom I aspire to be.
-
@Bryan Trummer - ReleaseTEAM - My best memory was for sure being done with high school. Not a fun place for me, I'll say! It's got to be super embarrassing to go through your first day with a big gap in your smile. I would have been so self conscious. That's like right in the age where you're becoming super socially aware,…

@Jack Brickey truer words have never been spoken. Was just talking to a friend of mine recently who was organizing a high school reunion. They had very low ticket sales and wondered why, the answer was just this. Reunions used to be a place where you could catch up on people you hadn't seen for years, but now you know what…

Congrats everyone!!! Meg: Making your Mondays less productive, one fluff article at a time. ;) @Manon Soubies-Camy - I love this idea so much
-
@Thomas Schlegel well of course it wasn't yours, your pictures are much more beautiful! :D
-
@Thomas Schlegel - I bet you just have a field day in places like Barcelona, seems like there are endless opportunities for beautiful photos.

Hey all! My name is Meg and I am the lone JIRA/Confluence administrator for a midsize mortgage company headquartered in Sacramento. I am not a San Francisco local, but I hope it's cool if I crash on your AUG couch ^_^ I enjoy spending time with my kids, bothering my husband (poor guy), and championing Atlassian products…
-
@Manon Soubies-Camy - you got it!
-
@Manon Soubies-Camy, you're basically a knitting superhero. (You should see the stuff she makes guys, wowza!) Your use cases are amazing, and I'm thinking I'm going to need to get myself a confluence instance to do the same with notes. I can't seem to get my brain to work using evernote or one note either.
-
@BiancaE - totally agree that it's a huge pain to respond to things like emails on a mobile. I am attached at the hip with text-to-speech. It's way less annoying to me to dictate punctuation out loud than it is to sit there and erase my message a million times due to auto-correct and text prediction errors. I also don't…

@Kimberly Deal _Columbus ACE_ - I keep trying to rope my family into my Trello board, and it just aint happening. I mostly use it for meal planning these days. There was an Atlassian the other day who was talking about a wine-based board for JIRA, and they used a tablet that had been mounted in the kitchen to manage the…
-
@Kimberly Deal _Columbus ACE_ - The walls between offices in my building are pretty thin, and one of my neighbors came over the first week she was here to see who I was talking to all day. No Karen, I don't have friends, I'm talking to a robot.

Both of the apps you linked look really cool! It's really handy to have local activities compiled and accessible. We have a similar service online here for our city, and I love to pull it up and browse. Now I'm wishing it was a mobile app.

Sarah, this is fantastic, even if you don't use it as heavily as intended. Bravo!
