@Nejc_Skale In this case, I will name the pages as: 1 - Project A 2 - Project B 3 - Project C The other option is to add a Project Id to each status report, including it in the overall report and sort by that id. Thanks for the question! I'll add it to my http://www.tacticalprojectmanagement.com/confluencepm course! Andy

I recommend using both JIRA and Confluence for project management. JIRA is an useful tool for tracking tasks, user stories and the team's flow via Kanban. JIRA does a great job of providing visibility to the team's work in an open and transparent manner. Status reporting, project dashboards, presentations, roadmaps can be…

Hi @[deleted] Thanks for the feedback. I actually finished my eBook providing more steps and instructions for 7 project management techniques. I'm working on a few additional enhancements. https://www.tacticalprojectmanagement.com/shop/manage-projects-with-atlassian-confluence/

@[deleted] Did you run into any issues? If you can advise on the tweaks, I can update the post!
-
Thanks @Jennifer Raspanti It's a simple and quick way to manage the requirements. I've found it really useful for SOWs and tracking all the needs were delivered and met.

Hi @Sandeep Kaur I no longer have access to that JIRA repository but it simply was an integration with JIRA and Test Rail. JIRA displays the test rail link within the ticket. I'm sure if you contact the TestRail software vendor they can help you further. Andy

Hi @Jasmine.Hatherly @each week, each PM or workstream leader would simply update their status report page in Confluence and enter a new date. Since the Dashboard report pulls this data from the sub pages it is always the latest status. if you want to see older reports, you would look at the page history for that specific…

Can you post a picture of your Page Prorpeties Report Macro? If it is not seeing the label, did you also indicate the Confluence Space where the sub-page is found?
-
Can you add andrewjmakar@gmail.com to your Confluence site and I can take a look?
-
This is an excellent and much needed add-on / feature! Thanks!
-
We use Test Rail which integrates with the Jira issue type. This way the Jira issue type still represents the requirement and the test cases are aligned to the issue type.

If you wanted the ease of creating custom fields on Next Gen projects but wanted to centralize who creates those custom fields using the Next Gen interface, how would that be done?
-
Thank you for the clarification! It would be a nice improvement if they did scroll from a Page Properties macro!
-
@ken Thanks! unfortunately, I have not found a solution that provides scrolling headers. I have this same challenge when we're doing portfolio reviews of all the projects running in the portfolio.
-
Thanks @maxmaxwell @and everyone else for all your comments! We learn together so please continue to share your experiences!

@Kenneth Cather Good to hear! Let me know if you have any questions. I'll try to answer them as best as possible!

Hi @Rodica Tabet The colors are the "traffic light colors" for project status. Red = off track Yellow = at risk Green = on track Blue = Completed Grey = Not Started
-
Thanks! I have a few more in draft! This technique is really helpful when managing multiple workstreams in a project...and when you don't want to collect status reports.

Hi - Here is a screen shot of a simple Requirements Traceability Matrix in Confluence using tasks/users stories or any JIRA issue type. Just create table, manually enter the high level requirements and drag the detailed user stories into the table. I find it very useful to break down high level requirements into user…

Ah..I don't use Xray...I am familiar with TestRail as the test management tool within JIRA. Does Xray provide that type of reporting? You may have to talk to a JIRA administrator to determine how you can pull that specific data into a Confluence report.

The only way I've done this is to monitor the Due Date field. I setup the issues I want to Watch so I receive the notifications. I also build a JIRA dashboard that show late tickets based on the due date. I share this dashboard with the project team and they can self-monitor the tickets that are falling behind.
-
In my past program, we developed requirements in JIRA and test cases in JIRA but assigned the test cases a separate issue type. By using Confluence, I would drag the requirement ticket into a table in Confluence. Then any test cases, attachments, text or clarifying comments were entered into the Confluence page (either in…

What if you created a single JIRA ticket for a book : Count of Monte Cristo and if you have 3 copies, create 3 child tickets that link back to the parent? Status of each book is maintained in a child ticket and you can use filters and Confluence to view the top level tickets. To determine availability, you'd have to go…

Have you considered combining JIRA with Confluence? JIRA could hold the test cases and relevant test case steps. Based on the Assignee field and any drop down box to assign a test plan, you can write a separate JQL query. Once you have the JQL query your can paste it into your Confluence page and select the relevant…
