Hi @QNu Labs Public links are designed to share the content specific to that single page. In other words, they present the content of that page totally isolated from the rest of your Confluence content. As a result, links, excerpts, etc. - anything that points to content that's not on that page cannot be displayed. To…

HI @Chidanand.Begur To expand on @Nikola Perisic's answer... As a guest, you can only access a single space at a time, only users with regular paid seats can access more spaces. If the page is in the space that you CAN access, then it's been restricted to you (or guests in general).

Hello @Rhys Gottwald I'm Kris from K15t (Atlassian Marketplace partner). We make an app called Scroll Sites that builds a website from your Confluence content. You can customize your site (both look and feel) - CSS and JS options are available. You can make the site public, on your own domain, or put it behind a password /…

Quite an experience and discovery path @Iryna Komarnitska_SaaSJet_. I can relate to a lot of these best-practices as I lived them just a couple of months ago :)

Hi @Navira Zainab I'm Kris from K15t, maker of the Scroll Sites. that @Jayesh Raghuvanshi mentioned. Funny that you mentioned Sprinklr as it's one of the main competitor of Emplifi - my previous company where I built the product documentation site using Confluence and K15t's Scroll Sites :) As I wrote in my Atlassian…

Can we, please, avoid this shortcut-gate to be a ... SHIFT-show? :) We might be half-way there... (but we're livin' on a prayer). Every so often when I use an old shortcut, I'm surprised it still works and then there's the popup. So I'm with Darryl here questioning what's temporary/short-term. What we have now is less then…

Hi @Richard Gaunt and welcome to the Community. I'm one of the original crew of Tech Writers (information engineers) that pioneered DocOps over a decade ago at CA Technologies... using Confluence. Basic principles: * documentation is a part of the product * documentation is incuded in the definition of Done - no feature is…

Hello @umashri just to expand on what was previously said * System macros tend to have their counterpart on Cloud. But certain implementations of those macros can't be replicated. Nesting macros (putting one macro inside the other) can be an issue. * Marketplace macros (apps) - direct replacement - no alternative -…

Hi Kristi, you should have my response in your inbox. Looking forward to talking to you.

Is this on Confluence Cloud? I simply drag and drop the images onto a Confluence page and resize using columns resizer. I never experienced sketched/skewed photos. I tried the gallery macro on a page that has multiple sized images both standalone and in lists, and they came out good. I create screenshots on a retina screen…

@Dave Mathijs is correct. Space permissions may be granted on individual user basis (along 'user group rights). I'm often surprised how this option is often forgotten :) Or you can just ask the admin to delete the page if it's a one off.
-
I don't know but as this a screen that users must go thru when creating a space, it's only a question of choosing a setting. If a user is privileged enough via permissions to create a space, they should be trusted to follow the guidelines and choose that particular setting. Perhaps that could be addressed by Automation but…

@Tim Kauger Exactly, this screams to have a practical impact on page-based workflow and automation.
-
@Sam Ugulava As to your Drafts vs Unpublished changes and the general usefulness on page micro-workflow. A page with unblished changes becomes, by definition, a draft. But I accept your definition, strange as it is - given the page default page statuses... ;) What I'm missing, terribly missing, in Confluence is the ability…
-
@Bryan Tiang - it doesn't work with Comala and it doesn't work with K15t's Scroll Viewport (yet). Given that there appears to be API for Page Status, I guess it could be implemented in future. I devised a workaround to use Comala Doc Management and Publishing with Scroll Documents and Viewport for granular workflow and…
-
Upon testing, this doesn't do much - it appears to be an elevated label. It would be useful if the status would actually prevent the page from being published to the public site. BUT, there's an API so I'm looking forward for Comala and K15t to pick it up and make it useful in their Publishing, Workflow and Viewport…
