Welcome back to IT! Jira is a good place to start. I really liked this learning path https://community.atlassian.com/learning/hub/all-learning-paths/path/get-the-most-out-of-jira Have fun and enjoy :)

Hi @Angelie Stephens, can´t see the quiz link here…
-
Thanks for the mention :-)
-
Finally :-) This is going to be a big change. Thanks a lot @Nicola Sun
-
Awesome update @Charlie Marriott Thank you!
-
Hi @Rodrigo De Sebastian Martin , thanks for your response. I will check your Jira Delivery agent and contact you afterwards. Best Jan
-
Great feature! Thank you. I am sure this will help.
-
Another idea is to use the new feature in Rovo Studio to build a custom Forge app which can run a timed JQL query (for example weekly) and generate a CSV file.

Hi, Simply being logged in with your company email does not automatically grant access to all Confluence spaces or pages. Access in Confluence is controlled at multiple levels — space permissions, page restrictions, and group memberships — and any one of these can block access independently. The fact that you are not being…

Hi @Dr Valeri Colon _Connect Centric_ , thanks a lot. That was also my way forward. Works fine but as you said it would be awesome to achieve this in rovo purely. Best Jan
-
Hi @Dr Valeri Colon _Connect Centric_ , even if the parent is clearly resolved (link/ID) it does not work for me. Did you find another workaround to achieve this? Its quite frustrating since this is "basics" for other AI-Agents from other tools. I feel like rovo is not really reliable at this stage to fully automate or…

The Jira Development Panel visibility is controlled by the "View Development Tools" permission in the project's Permission Scheme. If the panel is showing (or not showing) for the wrong users, you simply need to go to ⚙ → Issues → Permission Schemes, find the relevant scheme, and add, edit, or remove users/groups/roles…

Hi @Charlie Marriott thanks for the update. Can you estimate when goal and project access/restrictions are probably coming to users? I guess this is the feature most of the teams working with Goals are waiting for. Best Jan
-
Hi @Charlie Marriott , thanks again for the update. One more nice thing to have would be a notification or alert if you reach the limit of 50 success measures. At the moment Goals just stops adding more success measures if the limit of 50 is reached. Best Jan
-
Hi @Charlie Marriott , I was referencing this article https://support.atlassian.com/platform-experiences/docs/what-are-success-measures-and-key-results/ "Aim for one to three success measures per goal. Too many can make it hard to focus and report. Note that goals have a maximum of 20 success measures." But if there is no…
-
Great update. Is it also an option to stop the current limit of 20 success measures? For some use cases 20 is a blocking limit.

Yes that’s expected behavior in Jira. The “Create another” option does not reliably carry over the Parent field (especially for Epic/Parent Link fields). It often resets after the first issue. Quick ways to handle it: * Use Bulk Create (CSV import) best for many issues with same parent * Create issues first then bulk edit…

Hi @Ritesh Chandawar , as far as I know direct copy/paste from Microsoft Whiteboard to Confluence Whiteboards doesn’t work. Best options: * Export as image (PNG/SVG) → upload to Confluence (static only) * Rebuild manually → only way to keep it editable * Screenshots + partial rebuild → for large boards There is currently…

I guess the reason Rovo cannot access Story Points is that it does not have access to all custom fields, especially project-scoped or agile-specific ones. At the moment, there is no way to manually expose individual fields to Rovo as far as I know. I had the same issue with a custom field. You may want to verify whether…

Hi Fred, you can update a custom field like AGE via a Scheduled rule — but the action you choose determines whether custom fields are available. Why you don’t see Custom Fields In Jira Automation, not every action exposes custom fields directly. For example: Edit issue → allows updating custom fields Some other actions…

Hi Jim, Sub-tasks are the wrong modelling tool for this scenario. In Jira, sub-tasks always inherit the sprint of their parent issue, so if the parent Task is in a sprint, the external sub-task will automatically be in that sprint as well. There is no clean way to separate them while keeping the sub-task structure. What…

Hi All, thanks for your help. We started another free trial and managed the permissions. Best jan
-
Hi @Venkata Sagar Ganesh Rao Mahendrakar , I guess you can just use the then action "Copy Label from Parent work item" every time the epic is updated (as the trigger). Best Jan
-
Hi Jorge, thanks a lot. I will look at my instructions again and try to make them as strict as possible.

It would be very helpful to have milestones or sprints available as markers on the timeline. Being able to visually anchor work to key delivery points (e.g. sprints, milestones, releases) would make the timeline significantly more actionable.
