@John Funk No, The condition I am checking that rule works only if component size greater than 1
-
@John Funk That smart value returns only the first component assigned to an issue.
-
Hi @John Funk You’re right - on the UI, it doesn’t prevent users from selecting multiple component values. However, once the work item is updated, the automation removes any additional values and keeps only the first one. Here is the simple automation I configured and tested. Its working as expected.
-
Hi All, Answering my own question here. I just tried an automation rule to restrict only one component in a workflow state, and it worked! If you’re interested, I can share a screenshot of the rule and how it’s configured. Let me know!

Hi @omir85 Sorry to hear your site was deactivated. You can try reactivating it by logging into https://admin.atlassian.com/billing and checking the Inactive tab under Subscriptions. If the Reactivate option isn’t available, please contact Atlassian support here:…

Hey @Ajinkya Kale Usually, it resolves by refreshing the page or clearing your browser cache. If it persists, contact your Jira admin or Atlassian support.
-
Hi @keerthi_guntupalli I hope its working if not, use below format.
-
This is really nice and very helpful
-
@keerthi_guntupalli Hey, is that worked??
-
Hi @Carla Beconi looks like you don’t have delete permissions. You can reach out to Jira product admin for this.
-
No you have to use Jira parent work key only not parent id
-
@keerthi_guntupalli ++ please use Jira epic work key in parent column
-
@keerthi_guntupalli What I am saying that add parent field and epic link field to child work item create screen. And then when you are bulk uploading parent epic for child right map csv parent field to Jira parent field.
-
@keerthi_guntupalli In the child hierarchy work item add parent and epic link columns to create screen and map CSV parent column to Jira parent while uploading. It will work.
-
Hi @keerthi_guntupalli What is the work type hierarchy following in Jira ?? And to which child work item you would like to add parent.
-
Hi @Ramesh Krishnan @actually it will work. I have implemented in multiple clients. You can use below as well: advanced JSON { "fields": { "fixVersions": [], "parent": null } }
-
@Fernando Ferreira Hope the steps provided by @Sebastian Krzewiński are working fine. If not, please let us know so we can guide you with more details.

Hi @Ramesh Krishnan In Jira, only site admins or user access admins or org admins can create groups. Go to Settings → User Management → Groups → Create group, enter a name, and save. In Jira Cloud, this is managed via Atlassian Admin (admin.atlassian.com).
-
@Ramesh Krishnan leave the fields empty.

@Chakrapani Reddy M In Jira Cloud, the Active sprints tab will only appear on a Scrum board when certain conditions are met. Things to check: * Make sure the board is a Scrum board (not Kanban) * Ensure there is at least one active sprint (start a sprint from the Backlog) * Verify your permissions (Browse Project & Manage…
-
Hi @Robert Motlet Go to your account settings and find your name in profile and visibility tab and update your name.
-
Hi @Chakrapani Reddy M The filter you are using for the sprint board might be set as private and owned by someone. Please check filter permission. If it’s private filter then share filter by project or user roles or public.
-
@Sebastian Krzewiński I completely agree with your solution, as this is the same approach I follow in my projects.

Hi @Marcelo Maldonado In company-managed projects, Jira uses field configurations and field contexts to decide whether a field shows up for a work type. Even if you add the field to the layout, if it’s not available for the specific issue type (e.g., Story), it won’t appear. * Go to: Jira Settings → Issues → Custom Fields…
-
Hi, you can do this by using Jira automation. Once try below: * Trigger → Issue Transitioned → To = Cancelled * Condition 1 → Issue Type = Story * Condition 2 → Parent exists (use “Parent is not empty” or “Issue has parent”) * Action → Edit Issue → Clear Fix Version/s and Parent * Save and test.
-
Hi @Roy Kim Go to id.atlassian.com, check your account settings, profile and visibility, and if your name is editable, you can update it.

Hi, by default this is not possible natively in Xray Test Management for Jira. However, you can import steps from an existing test or use the Call Test feature to reuse steps from other test cases.
-
Hi @mummareddy supriya Please avoid using plain numbers for the Original Estimate field. Instead, use Jira-supported time formats such as 1w, 1d, 1h 30m, 2h, or 45m. Also, ensure the Due Date is provided in the correct format: dd/MMM/yy (for example, 25/Mar/26). For issue linking, make sure to use the outward link type…

Component creation in Jira is controlled by the Administer Projects permission. Only users with this permission can create, edit, or delete components. To restrict this, update the project’s permission scheme so that only Admins or Jira Administrators have the Administer Projects access, and remove all other users or roles.
