There is an article written on how to write Request Types as JQL so it wouldn't break if names are changed. 🚩 Changes to request type names break JQL queries...

The design could definitely be cleaner, but overall I like the direction. I believe there has been an improvement and when you are in Forms view, you can get ID from there. Easier compared to network tab or API's so if it is possible, maybe someone can update the knowledge base article too.

Can you choose people on some other field that has type "People"? You can ask your Jira administrator that if they have changed anything in the global permissions "Browse users and groups". 

@Jeremy Cooley is there any information about the timeline of Assets becoming a standalone app? When will "Standard" plan users get the option to use Assets? You said that more information will come in next weeks - the weeks have passed, is there some public information about this that I have missed? Thanks!

In my experience, most JSM setups tend to struggle with the same pain points. That’s why I usually recommend starting with as few request types as possible. Once the system is in use, analyze what people are actually requesting on a regular basis and only introduce new request types when there’s a clear recurring need that…
