Created a space from template 'project management' which lists "workstream" as a work item type. After creation the corresponding "Issue Type Scheme" had no "workstream".

Atlassian likes to claim that they are transparent and customer‑focused. But what I actually observe is that after an announcement like this one, the topic seems to be dropped entirely. The responsible employee moves on to new tasks and no longer comments on it. Atlassian then waits a few years, and once enough people have…

@Tanya Maddalena One more problem: currently the "list view" is the only place where categories can be administered (create, update, delete) by the space admin. Sorry, categories can be administered in "all work items", too.
-
One more: Great that we can save our own filters which then appear in "Saved filters". But not so great that we cannot create globally useful filters that appear in every space's "All work items" "Saved filters". Best way would be that we can configure which filters appear among "default filters" ourselves.

Now that we used it for some weeks, these are the major weak points: 0) The UI still says "project" when it means "space". 1) Preserve hierarchy! No matter which grouping or filtering is active: work items should always preserve their hierarchy. If not, it's completey useless, sorry. Without filters most spaces will…

At least for me some image links are broken.

@Kevin Lee did a very good job here. Great presenter.
-
@Josh Sherwood /jira/projects/ still works, that's ok. But there is no excuse that /jira/spaces/ is not working. There will be a lot of presentations containing "Spaces can be found at, uhm,... well, /projects" :D
-
They should add a date to every not-so-little change for each instance. It can't be that the rollout hits an instance by chance. At least it should be possible to name the exact week.

@Peter J Lennartsson This tool has already launched. Projects is now a plattform app: https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Atlas-Group-articles/Atlassian-Projects-becomes-a-Platform-app/ba-p/3125452 These projects use several (jira and confluence) spaces where the work is organised. The old "jira project" never was a 1:1…
-
@Martin Flury Confluence and Jira will merge (one day). There is just no reason why organisation (Jira) und content (Confluence) remain separated. There will be spaces, where you can organise work and/or manage its associated content.
-
So if I do not grant this right to anyone in a project, the feature "versions" is basically turned off for this project?
-
@Tanya Maddalena please provide "Expand all items" as it is cumbersome to expand all item hierarchies individually.
-
@Tapiwa Samkange Yes, the "list view" will be removed one day - as another article is labelled "We’re merging List and All work – one powerful view for all teams".
-
@David Nadri Yes, I guess it all goes down to: will people have to do a lot of additional work themselves to feed those fields and updates or is it able to digest information from existing work items and display that in a very quick and informative manner? Later would mean that rovo is doing the work. Otherwise I could add…

Over all it seems that the entire feature set "platform experience" (what a name!?) has come to a halt. Not even the Atlas Group has been renamed.
-
@Dirk Lachowski @Nir Nikolaevsky That's right. In the new UI, when you are in "goals", there is "goals" and "teams", but there isn't "projects". You have to go to https://home.atlassian.com to get "projects" in the list.
-
Please go further and show the full hierarchy regardless in which project an child work item is (as long as user has access rights).
-
Thanks for changing the wording for all languages. It's a bit strange that "work item" remains "Vorgang" in German, so almost everyone here will still call it an "issue". So at least it's "space" for everyone then instead of the misleading "project" (which in fact is something very different in most organizations).
-
@Rick Westbrock There is a toggle in the three-dot-menu on the right.
-
Then why can't I remove the "List" tab?
-
Does anyone have seen that already? I hope that Watchers also receive that notification.
-
So, how will this be handled in the German language version? Here it is "Vorgang", which doesn't mean "work".
-
I would prefer if all menu items expand to the side (a new popup window). But not on click, but on mouseover.
-
We won't have two types of "spaces" for long. Sooner or later they will be merged. Positive change as jira projects often don't resemble real projects.
-
Sadly there are no screenshots. I am not used to the term "project issue navigator". What is meant with this? "All work items"?
-
So in 2, 3 years we have spaces that contain work items and pages all together? I guess that is where this is headed.
-
@Varsha Patel please share the link.
-
The two with the most voters for Jira Cloud even are unassigned.

Funny thing is: the future are not apps, not programs, not whatsoever. You just have ONE platform and a lot of functionality/features on that. You don't have to rename "products" to "apps", you have to get rid of the illusion that they are seperated things. People in the past had to install programms (on computers) and…
