You can run content retention manager for a free trial and see if that helps. The cost is low if you decide to keep it. Given Jira Service Manager can become a repository of all sorts of PII, it's not an awful idea to keep something like this in place to help keep the risk out.

Such a great write-up, the “ghost pages” problem is real 👻 We see teams use tools like Content Retention Manager for Confluence to inexpensively audit old pages, classify what’s worth keeping vs. archiving, and bring trust back to their spaces. Deleting isn’t enough; knowing what to keep or flag as historical matters just…

For help getting the same type of record management and classification, check out Content Retention Manager for Confluence. It's built off similar premises of Sharepoint's policy engine. Let me know if I can help!

I'm glad I could help @Morgan Watts

When you migrate to Cloud, Content Retention Manager can solve this problem. You can define a retention policy based on created or by last modified which includes the attachments. The audit function will allow you to find all those stale pages for clean up pretty easily. Let me know if you'd like some help or a demo!

Ah! I found the article and I think it's novel. I would disagree, however, PLG is very much alive but evolving. I've seen this first hand, the models and capabilities mostly just mean the legacy way product management operates is dead. Instead of weeks or months of user research, insights, and analysis, we have to move…

Great write-up @Samar Shah this is one of the clearest explanations I’ve seen of how FedRAMP Moderate works within Atlassian Government Cloud (AGC). Thanks for laying out the shared-responsibility side so well. For teams moving into AGC, one thing we’ve seen help a lot is getting content governance in place early so your…

If it's fully purged, it's non recoverable. But if it's in the "trash" (when a user clicks delete), it's recoverable. This is a critical piece to how we were able to build Content Retention Manager. If you install the Lite (free) version, you can use the Content Audit to uncover all the content lingering in your trash.…

If you need a more compliance oriented solution that is a little easier to deploy, check out Content Retention Manager (for both Confluence/Jira). It allows for the automated archiving, deleting, and purging as needed. More importantly, it allows for classification to allow for better retention management itself (hence the…

Content Retention Manager is now Atlassian Government Cloud approved if you are in the public sector or adjacent.
-
@Mélanie Liguet- if you're not using Guard or Guard premium but still need an inexpensive way to deploy classification check out Content Retention Manager. It's actually compatible with Guard so if you upgrade to Guard Premium down the line, it will respect the Atlassian Guard classifications in the product for the other…

If you need something a little more expansive than the default classification capabilities as well as a way to attach retention schedules, check out Content Retention Manager (Confluence/Jira supported). It also has a neat delegated admin function so you can allow other team members to work on policies and classifications…

Update: I built the solution 🤣 and it's SOC2 AND Atlassian Government Approved 🔥 Content Retention Manager (available on Confluence and Jira)

+1 to the clean up before migration guidance, just to YES AND... The migration presents a great opportunity to clean old records and better conform to the many government record keeping requirements that you may or may not be subject to. Particularly great about moving to Atlassian Government Cloud is an opportunity to…

We use Scroll Sites for our documentation management, it's amazing. @Kris Klima _K15t_

@Vlad from Teamline can you share more on why this means the PLG era is over?
-
Love this tip @Ananjan_miniOrange that JSM/Confluence connection is so underrated, and having the right page show up before someone submits a ticket really does reduce a ton of noise! Something else that helps teams get even more out of this setup is keeping the Confluence side clean and well-organized. Since any page can…

I'm not sure about just a blanket TAM group, but I'd probably recommend looking at the industry groups and finding one that best aligns your area. You may also want to join some of the Admin groups as they likely have massive content overlap with account management.
-
Really helpful breakdown @Alina Kurinna _SaaSJet_, especially the link between reopens, incomplete intake data, and outdated workflow information. In a lot of teams, the root cause is less about the agent and more about the environment they’re operating in: old tickets, stale workflow notes, and outdated KB articles…

Welcome @Mikee King! Let us know if you ever need any help, it's a great community. If you have a chance, get to TEAM '26! What specifically around handling info and methods can we help with?
-
@Artem Taranenko- No problem, let me know if I can help!
-
Really appreciate you sharing this pattern @Alexander Nilsson especially the governed Master Page approach! What you described toward the end, the model of defining exactly what content is allowed to leave Confluence is spot-on for keeping things compliant and predictable while also being able to allow for offline access…

@Barbara Szczesniak - Yea, it took me a moment to think about, but I think it's incorrect to say "garbage in" with this context. At some point, that PM, service agent, marketer, engineer, wrote that Confluence page with good intent and it was as well informed as it could be at the time. So I don't think the "in" was…

First, welcome to the marketplace, we have all the solutions to really make your Atlassian instance fit. 🎉 Worth considering, every app in the Marketplace comes with a free trial of at least 30 days (longer if you sync it to your billing cycle). This is something Atlassian has given to all of us who build apps as a way to…

Clean 👏 Your 👏 Context 👏 Window. 😄 Bad results = your team won't trust it, and ROVO is DOA. Rovo and every other AI feature in Atlassian are only as smart as the content they’re reading… which means if your Confluence and Jira are full of old, wrong, or “we’ll-fix-this-later” pages, the AI will happily hallucinate based on…
-
Really love this approach @Mithila _Amoeboids Technologies_ surfacing live Confluence pages through your help service directly inside the product or on a website is such a thoughtful way to keep users in flow and reduce support fatigue! One thing I see often: once Confluence content becomes in-app help, content hygiene…
-
Really loved this post, especially the part about trust. That’s the real blocker for most teams I talk to. AI can be encrypted, permissioned, and SOC2-certified… but if it’s pulling answers from a messy pile of outdated Confluence spaces and pages, people still won’t trust the output. One inaccurate response can lead to…

@Viktoriia Golovtseva _TitanApps_ That's awesome, we're very close to releasing our Atlassian Government Cloud deployment as well to help with the toolkit for a better Enterprise Cloud.
-
Excellent post @Viktoriia Golovtseva _TitanApps_ This guide really captures what makes Data Center → Cloud migrations successful: planning, testing, and understanding how your apps and data behave once you’re there. To "yes and," one area that can’t be overstated is governance and compliance. Too often, teams focus on app…

Totally agree with this! I’ve seen so many teams hit that wall where Jira automation goes from “this is amazing” to “why is everything breaking?” 😂 Teams end up with these complex flows that come down to only one person who knows how to adjust them (correctly) without it all falling apart. It’s especially rough when folks…
