Thanks so much, @Anwesha Pan! 😊 I'm glad you found it worthwhile. I'd also love to hear how your team handles dependencies today. Do you have any practices that help keep them visible before they become blockers?
-
Thanks, @Radwan Almsora! I completely agree. Backlog refinement and cross-team collaboration are great opportunities to identify dependencies before they become blockers. What particularly interests me is the "aging dependency" problem, where an issue created months ago slowly drops in priority but still becomes a…

One aspect of sprint planning that I've seen teams struggle with is the difference between estimated effort and actual capacity. A sprint may look perfectly planned based on story points or effort estimates, but reality often includes vacations, production support, unplanned work, meetings, onboarding activities, and…
-
One challenge I've repeatedly seen is that teams estimate ticket effort but don't plan against actual developer and QA availability. The result is a sprint that looks realistic on paper but becomes overloaded once vacations, support work, and role-specific capacity are considered. Curious how others balance backlog…

Hi @Chris Berry, The accepted answer is correct - Jira Cloud does not natively auto-start or auto-complete sprints based on dates. If you’re managing multiple boards, it can become repetitive and easy to miss, which may impact reporting and sprint cadence. If you’re open to exploring a Marketplace app for automating sprint…

Hi @__ Jimi Wikman , really thoughtful perspective. I completely agree that sprint administration is only one small piece of a much larger operational picture, especially once organizations start coordinating across many teams and need alignment between delivery, reporting, prioritization, and financial decision-making.…
-
Hi @Nicolae Victor Rusu, Thank you for your feedback. Currently, the dependencies are displayed with a blue background, in contrast to the primary tickets, which have a white background. Additionally, the alignment of dependencies differs from that of the deliverables to make them more noticeable. The first level of…

Hi @Akshay Makwana, I faced a similar issue a few months back. I just changed the CC (from one bank to another) and ever since then, we have not faced the issue again. In my case, it was HDFC Bank that was failing constantly. Hope this helps! AJ

Hi @Valerie Vliegen, For us, it was * Storage * Audit Logs * Permission Management Hope this helps! AJ

GitHub for Atlassian is awesome!

Hi @Lokesh Sai, This is correct. You can read more about this here. https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Jira-articles/Easier-status-updates-for-work-items/ba-p/3068881 Hope this helps! AJ
-
Hi @Ben , As of today, there are three status categories that represent the stages of work: "Work to be Done," "Work in Progress," and "Work Completed." However, it is often the case that tasks are placed on hold for various reasons, sometimes unintentionally. To address this, it is recommended to introduce an additional…

Hi @Joachim, As clarified by Atlassian experts, this feature was recently introduced, and currently, there is no option to disable it. However, when deleting tickets through the "bulk change work item" process (even if only a single ticket is selected), the pop-up will not appear. Hope this helps! AJ

Hi @Florian G_, Thank you for sharing the detailed context. I found 2 threads related to your query. Custom-Field-with-only-Serial-Numbers How-to-validate-a-custom-field-using-Regular-Expression-in-Jira Hope this helps! AJ
-
Hi @Florian G_, If I have understood your query right, you are asking to create a JQL for the single select custom field that you made for only specific values. Is that correct?, if so, please ensure below steps are followed. Step1: Configured the custom field. Step 2: Map the custom field on the screen design Step 3:…
-
Hi @Natalia Christina, You can access past sprint-related data by following the path below Alternatively, you can type in a JQL to see tickets associated with old sprints. Project = 'XYZ' and Sprint = "Type the sprint name here" Hope this helps! AJ

Hi @SilkeS, just applied for it. Meanwhile, I have added it to my profile and will make sure to post it in the comments as well.

Hi @alexeychebruchan, @Caitlin_Pedersen, My name is AJ, and I represent PgM Innovations. Last year, we launched Auto Sprint Start Stop, which helps Agile teams automate Sprint cadence, like starting the sprint, closing the sprint, and moving open tickets at the time of sprint closure to the next sprint or backlog. This…
-
Sure, Bill! Will review both the links.
-
Hi @martin nurse, you can also try Auto Sprint Start Stop by PgM Innovations to automate sprint start and stop for 100s of boards at the same time. At the time of sprint closure, decide whether the open issue gets moved to the backlog or the next sprint. If the next sprint doesn't exist, the app will create one for you.…
-
Hi @Syd Heller, @Marko Blagus, I know i am 2 years late, but it is possible now. You can check out Auto Sprint Start Stop by PgM Innovations. It can be used to automate 100s of boards.
-
Nice suggestion. Paused/Hold should fall in a different status category.

Hi @Timothy McKay , Please follow the steps mentioned below On the Jira Search Screen, click on the 3-dot menu (More Actions) Select Import work items from CSV Upload the file to import, choose the target project, map fields, and begin import.

@Timothy McKay Import from CSV file to create bulk tickets. Is that correct?
