You can use our app Backup Projects for Jira, which allows you to export up to 25k issues in a single CSV file before it paginates into multiple files or export any Jira issues based on JQL at intervals that you can easily download anytime. It also allows you to change the CSV file delimiter to other characters besides…

You can export your data and import it into another cloud environment using various methods. This document shows the available options, JSON and the Jira cloud export should give you the ability to retain the things you need based on your requirements.

Hi, You should refer to this API used for deleting users. That should delete a user from a particular site rather than the organization.

You seem to be going for an API approach, so you can refer to this article https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-articles/How-to-export-all-issues-from-Jira-via-API/ba-p/2126063 which shows how it is done in CSV, in one of the comments it also shows an article on how to achieve the same via JSON.

The easiest way to go about this is to create a new custom field of the field type that you want then use the CSV importer to copy the field value from one field to another. It's not feasible to change the field type, so going through that route is a workaround. Then you can add it to the screens/workflows etc

Have you tried deleting browser history or probably try logging in from a private browser to see if the results are different?

Hi It seems like Excel might be converting the values automatically. You probably want to find the settings that prevent any automatic conversion of numeric values.

Hi @Jason Jones You can try our app to extract all your Jira project issues (all fields) using JQL and import them into Excel. You can also schedule when these exports should occur even down to 10-minute intervals, or change the delimiter used on the file for use on other systems. If you need more time to evaluate our…

Hi Jamie and Yohannes I believe due to the intensive resources required to generate larger rows of CSV data, this feature isn't native to the UI. However, you can use our app free for 30 days to get your tasks done while you search for alternatives. If you decide it's not for you, simply cancel before the 30 days are up…

Hi @Kyrylo Nahornyi We wrote a discussion here on how to back up your projects simply by using an automated JQL schedule. You will have them in CSV format and everything resides within your Jira storage hidden from view. You can decide to download the export anytime and you can back up single or multiple projects

You can follow this discussion and use the app mentioned to achieve the same result via a GUI if you aren't familiar with REST API or scripting.

Hi, Jira already has the incoming email handlers. Although with specific subject text, you can use automation for Jira to ensure the tickets actually stay created. Other than that, the email handlers should just handle everything. There's one problem though, if you're on JSM (Jira Service Management), you should use the…

Hi, The refresh token from Atlassian is a rotating one and not persistent. However, there's no configuration within the developer console that disables the refresh token. I believe the docs mention using the dashboard from auth0 directly. Although, I'm not certain how that works. Typically, I would say that as long as the…

Hi, One of the things you have to understand about the cloud is that there are unmanaged and managed users. The latter is users that are provisioned with an identity provider. The former is local to the site where the user is added. I believe you're looking at deleting users if possible but deactivate them when needed.…

Hi, Most probably that is the case when their user avatar is not present on your board.

Hi It seems that you're not using the right payload for your update. As you're calling the key "issuerestriction" twice and all keys should be wrapped in quotes (depending on which language you use). Your payload should look like the below sent with a "PUT" HTTP method payload = { "fields": {"issuerestriction":…

I think when automation is involved, it requires less of your interaction. So the idea here is chose a label or set a plain text on a custom field by updating it. Then automation for Jira will automatically set the correct transition for you (given that within your automation rule, this has been well designed). This way,…

I would suggest that you get a export of issues from Jira as that would easily help you identify issues with sprint name or not, then you can decide to omit the ones that are empty versus the ones that has a value and put that data into a list as intended. I think querying each issues via API concurrently to find out the…

Hi, A good permission in Jira means it is simple enough yet robust to cater for your projects. administrators, jira-administrators and jira-admins basically would have the same level of permissions within Jira. Site-admins typically controls the site in general. However, depending on which admin UI that's currently present…

Hi, Usernames are typically not relied on in the Cloud. Are you referring to the displayName of the user? If yes, probably you want to check if this user is managed or unmanaged. If it is the former, then changes need to be done from the identity provider since there's a sync between the identity provider and your…

Hi, I believe the only way forward is a revamp of the entire workflow. No other configuration exist within the workflow that would make the transitions appear in the way that you've described. It ultimately comes down to the initial configuration of the workflow which requires a change to simplify things. I believe, what…

Hi I believe the way you should look at this problem is how can you determine what a user is and what action can a user perform within your app. For example, you know who the users are because they authenticate via okta. I haven't tried this personally for JSM customers but with Oauth you can do a user impersonation. You…

Hi There's this article which shows you how you can transfer attachment data from one instance or project to another via API. Subsequently, you can use the external system importer to import only the attachment data into your Jira project.

Hi If you're looking into the API options, then you will have to understand what the keys you need to search for within the XML file and what their values will be. I don't think a documentation that explains each part of the keys within an XML file exists or maybe I haven't come across it. You can translate those data once…

Hi, There's this article which gives a brief and concise overview of getting Jira Certifications. It talks about how you should start and what you should do in this journey.

Hi You can export the field Sprint into CSV, read the CSV file, filter all the empty cells which are not needed and populate the sprint names in your data frame required for your reporting software. This article shows how to export issues from Jira via the API.

Hi This article will give you a high-level difference between onPrem and Cloud versions.
